I bought the twin pack and use one on front dashboard and rear parcel shelf. Had them for about a month and just microwaved them for the first time. According to the instructions it's 6 minutes in a 600W microwave, as ours is 800W I reduced the power but it took a few extra mins each to get the blue to start reappearing, next time I will just do it on the normal setting and adjust time accordingly. It still felt slightly damp fresh out of the microwave, and didn't fully turn blue until it dried out. Like others have noticed it turns white before it starts to turn pink. It stays white for quite some time but I noticed it had started to become less effective just as the first tinges of pink began showing.I live in the North East of Scotland, when the condensation in my car froze it used to be almost impossible to get the ice off the inside rear window. I would microwave it as soon as you notice signs that condensation is returning which may well be before it turns pink, depending on local conditions.

I have had to lay up a Ford Focus for a few months on my drive and as the winter months progressed it didn’t get any direct sun and was beginning to smell damp inside. Two of these installed and it hasn’t really made much difference. The geek in me has had a humidity sensor in the car and it doesn't seem to vary between in the car and outside. It doesn’t smell damp as such any more but the inside of the car still steams up even when no one has been in it. It may work, it may not but there is nothing visible to be honest.April update.... But Hang on..... after a last ditch attempt at these i thought about recharging- and low and behold the dot went from white (NOT PINK, as described)to blue and the humidity levels in the car has absolutely plunged, down to the low 50%'s. So the tip from me is if the dot isn't blue when they come out of the pack, follow the recharge process and they are great. Also the dot doesn't go pink as far as I am concerned, it went a creamy white colour. Anyway happy days!

My car seems to develop a lot of condensation in an English winter and once the weather started getting colder I was having to wipe down the rear screen with paper towels every day. It was taking an age to clear the front screen as well, although the demister is very efficient. I keep one of these on the dashboard and one on the rear parcel shelf. While not a complete solution to the condensation problem, they have helped enormously and I'm saving a fortune on kitchen towels. They are easy to recharge in the microwave. There have, apparently, been reports of some incidents when they caught fire during recharging, so it is important to make sure you are using the right power level (600W).My microwave is 900W at full power, so I have to lower the power when recharging. My only real criticism is that the blue dot is not as blue as the images would imply, and it's quite difficult to determine when the dot has turned to pink as it's a very pale pink, almost white.

So we have had a problem for years that this season we get loads of condensation on the inside of the car and sometimes it freezes. I have wiped the water off, used chamise leather and even had to scrape the ice off on the inside and it all goes on the dash and potentially electrics. I have tried different treatments on the screen but thought afyer nothing working I would try these as recomended by my neighbour.Ever since these beautys have been in clear screen without fail every day for the last few weeks when getting into my car.. this never happened before, would leave work after night shift and have to wipe the screen down only to get a couple of streets to stop again and redo it as the blowers were still warming up.I havent needed to recharge them yet,but did use both in my car and put antislip mats under each, or on a roundabout they slide across the dash. Maybe my best purchase ever on amazon. Will update if any problems when 'recharging' them.

When switched to a pick-up, found there was a way worse issue with condensation on the inside of the windscreen when you first come to the vehicle than I ever experienced with a car.Have had a pair of these (secured down) on the dashboard for ~4 years. They work. They need no attention - as long as they are near a vent (which they will be on the dash) they just dry themselves out as you drive...I have never had to take them out to dry them (microwave or otherwise). This is good old silica gel like the stuff you get in the little packets in packaging. There are other car dehumidifier products out there (made by Thomar) which look better: cheaper to buy, absorb relatively more moisture, and they work great at first...but after about a year the material goes brittle, the bag splits and brown granules go everywhere - 100% avoid those.

My partners car suffers from blocked drainage near the windscreen, so after a heavy downpour, the foot well carpets are usually soaked, which amongst other things, causes a ridiculous amount of condensation on the inside of the windscreen.Put both of them wedged on the dash by the screen and they have worked wonders.Condensation is either massively reduced or completely gone now.The colour coded circles are great for knowing when they need to be dried out. I always dry them when they turn pink instead of waiting till they're white as the effectiveness is reduced at pink, I found.NOTE: It recommends drying them out in the microwave. I haven't attempted this due to the numerous issues other reviews have mentioned. If you pop them on a radiator overnight or for a good few hours, they'll be dry (blue) again in no time.

I have been using these for quite a couple of years now, when my last car was prone to misted windows. They are simple to use, just putting them on my dashboard when I park up in the evening and every couple of weeks taking them into the house to recharge, either in the microwave or on a radiator.I found that in a very damp car, you will not notice an immediate improvement but over a few recharge cycles, the amount of moisture is noticeably reduced. Now, after a year with my current car, I find there is no misting on the inside of my windows when I get in.Since it takes a while to reduce moisture, I have been using all the time (winter and summer) to keep moisture levels down all the time. The added benefit of this is that when winter came this year, my car was dry enough straight away.

I wasn't expecting much from these little packs. I have been pleasantly surprised. I've yet to 'recharge' them but, I got a pack of 2, one for my car, one for my wifes'. Both our cars are in the shade in the morning and on cold days took a long time to de-mist. For the past week I have had zero fog on any of my windows since putting one of these dehumidifiers in my car. At first I was placing it on the dash to get it close to the window but I'd have to move it on and off each time I drove so it wouldn't slide around so now it just sits below my dash in a little cubby and seems to do just as good a job. So long as I can reuse them after they have become saturated I'm very happy with these.I'll try to remember to do an update once they've been through the microwave.

Bought for my sons car. First day of use he said they didn’t work but after being in there 2 days they had cleared the windscreen. Very pleased with the purchase.Delivery however was terrible. I saw the van pull up and made my way down the stairs, I’m on crutches so wasn’t very fast. Once I’d got to the bottom I was just in time to see the drive stuff a card, not through the letter box but in the door opening. He hadn’t knocked, I opened the door to see him walking up the drive on the phone in a foreign language. I shouted twice before he turned round, I then told him to retrieve my parcel, which he had gone to the trouble of walking to the rear of my house to deposit. I was not impressed.

My car has a chronic condensation problem (thanks, Volkswagen), and it can take a really long time to clear the windscreen some mornings. I'd previously tried cat litter in an old pair of tights (don't ask), and this did work, although it totally infested the car with car litter dust. Don't try this at home. Having vacuumed up the dust, I ordered a pair of these, and they do seem to work quite well. When the dot turns pink, you pop it in the microwave for 6 minutes at 600 watts. My problem with this is, my microwave doesn't tell you what the wattage is when you set the power level, so it's a bit of a shot in the dark.

I had a VERY bad misting problem, from when before the car even started, to driving around with the fans on full blast in vein trying to keep the misting from my screen. After just 2 days of 2 of these in my car, one either side of the front pillars, the misting was gone and it stayed gone until after 3 months when they were full, the circle displayed pink as in the description and the misting started to return. 6 minutes each in the microwave, wait for them to cool, stick them back in the car, boom, another 3 months of before i had to do it again. One of my most useful purchases i've ever made

Work pretty well but in larger vehicles more than one is needed.Works flawlessly in my hatchback car but my fairly new VW campervan it has virtually no impact. I put this down to the size of the vehicle and it is probably not as well insulated against the elements as a car, however I was expecting more!If I could make a suggestion, supply something to make it grippy to the dash or to stick it down as remembering to always put it in place when rushing around with kids is impossible and leaving it on the dash flying about is not sensible!

Have bought these several times and given them to friends and family. They are cheap, robust and simple to use.My only advice would be that you really need two, one in the car and one in the airing cupboard at all times. And don't forget to check the one in the car fairly frequently - it's frustrating when you forget to check and come back to a car full of condensation when you're late for work already!

One of our cars was prone to condensation inside, depending on temperature changes. It wasn't too bad, but still annoying in the morning as the inside of the windshield would be covered in water beads. The Dehumidifiers solved this issues completely - they do work. I found the best placement is on the dashboard and under the rear view glass.Very happy with this, will keep 2 in all our cars.

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT - This is the second purchase I have made of these dehumidifiers! In the cold weather it seems to take longer to dry the inside of the windows than the frozen outside.Within a day you could see the differnce and as each day passed it got better. I bought a second for my wifes car that is un garaged. Now the moisture is completely gone. Worth every penny!
