There's no getting around it, this thing is loud. I've owned several dehumidifiers & they have been so much quieter that you could leave them running in a bedroom. Not so with this.Don't get me wrong, it is excellent at doing its job. In fact it's definitely the best performer of the models I have owned. But with no way to slow down the fan, I feel they have really limited where people might place this. If you can, I would recommend the next model up which I believe has a fan speed control.

If you live in a cold old house this model is a must because it works if the room temperature is as low as 5 degrees. Also ideal if dont have a bathroom window, dont get wet tiles any more. Our house is very old and once the heating is turned off the heat would soon be gone, we have noticed that the house stays warmer for a bit longer.I wished I had brought one before now, don't bother with those that collect water, you will collect more in a day than these collect in a month, believe me.

It's a great product. I mean the whole idea of dehumidifier. This changed my life significantly. I don't have to wipe my windows or cold spots on the walls 3 times a day. I don't have to clean my bathroom everyday due to mould showing up everywhere. The air seems to be much cleaner, it evens smells different. I like this one because it really doesn't use much energy and it still does its job. However it has some disadvantages, e.g. it doesn't switch off once it reached the set humidity.

Great value for money - very simple to use and has a digital display that actually tells you the humidity and how it is decreasing. You can set it to a certain humidity as well, e.g. 55% or 60%. It switches itself off when the tank is full. It's definitely working, as there is always plenty of water in there! Tank is very easy to remove and you just pour the water away. It's fairly light too, so you can easily move it from room to room to reduce humidity in the whole house! I'm happy!

Purchase this product 3 weeks ago and it seems to be doing the trick very well. When we first starting using it our house humidity level was at 75% which would classify the house as ‘Damp’ and would take several hours to drop below 70. Now 3 weeks on our house constantly sits at 55% and takes a matter of minutes to drop to 50% which is a healthy humidity for homes. Haven’t got the electric bill yet but so far 10/10! Liked the fact it came with a free air purification filter.

Excellent dehumidifier, quiet enough to have it on at night,have timer setting (1-24 hours),desired humidity setting. The washing dries much quicker when placed next to it and I don`t have problems with condensation on windows any more. I suffer from asthma so it also helps me a bit as it comes with 1 HEPA filter in a box. After a month of usage I`m shocked how much dust and allergens is in the house. The filter his already turning grey so I`m about to order a new one soon.

Setup was so easy and after initially running for about 2 days solid it now kicks in only when needed. Hadn’t realised a) how much water vapour was in my flat and b) the effect this had. A robust little machine that you plug in and forget about (until it needs emptying). So good I bought my brother one who has bad lungs and the change in him is amazing! For me the horrid musty smell in my flat has gone and so has the awful black mould - totally worth the money.

M Mthis is a really good choice. ExpensiveOutstanding dehumidifier! Takes so much water out of the air, it's unbelievable!We had serious damp problems, but now between a new roof and this dehumidifier, they're all sorted. Small/light enough to move if necessary this is a really good choice. Expensive, but well worth the investment. A little noisy, but not excessively so (the fact that it's on a different floor at day/night makes a huge difference).

Works out of the box, optional HEPA filter came with it.Kids bedrooms suffered condensation all the time in winter and we used to use the chemical circles available from most stores but they didn't do a good enough job. Two days after starting with this and there rooms are 99% better. Only have it on during the day as it is a little noisy. Needs emptying twice a day so I know it's working well. I would recommend to anyone who has issues with condensation.

I'm continually astounded at how much water is collected in the tank and the damp problem has vanished. The whole house is a lot warmer as the damp caused the temperature to rise a little. It doesn't cost much to run and the gas bill came down to pay for it! A bit noisy but just live with it on 24/7 for a couple of weeks to get the main work done and then perhaps just pop it on before bedtime and marvel at the amount of water collected in the morning.

I’m very impressed with this dehumidifier, no more condensation on the windows and has stopped mould growing in the corners of rooms which have 2 outside walls which had been a problem over the last couple of winters. Our house is a 2 bed bungalow and this dehumidifier is more than adequate for the whole property, I don’t even notice the noise when it’s running and it’s cheap to run. Amazing how much water it collects and the display is very useful

This gadget is fabulous. It has made a huge difference to our home, hardly any condensation any more, a fresher smell in the house and the heating hardly comes on any more - although that might not be related to the dehumidifier. Two criticisms though, it does not cut out when the required humidity level is reached, this is after a month of use, also the water tank begins to vibrate very loudly when two thirds full, but would not be without it.

I love my dehumidifier, second one. With the hepa filter, I use it by my side whilst paint spraying for my work as a ceramic restorer. I had to buy a second one since my daughter keeps borrowing my first one for her damp bedroom. It’s super effective, a great price & I can use the water in my iron when I empty it. I already have recommended it to a friend. Great next day service despite the current challenges.

Very impressed with this dehumidifier with its compact size, fairly quite running and the speed that it is removing the water vapour from the air. Had my Meaco unit up and running out of the box within a couple of minutes following the simple instructions. Have had a previous Ebac unit which was bigger and noisier.. My daughter was so impressed with this dehumidifier she has bought the same one

Glad I did a bit of research to work out which would be the best dehumidifier for my home. 2 bed terrace house with lots of condensation and a propensity to black mould. Drying out things nicely - can't believe how much water it removes every day. I have it on upstairs for about 12 hours per day. Cheap to run too. Very happy.
