I can honestly say this is one of the best products I've purchased as it has completely solved a typical problem this winter and saved me hours from de-steaming my windows. My car was consistently steamed up on the inside and it would take a matter of minutes to clear. This was most frustrating at 7:30am on a frosty morning when I had to get to work!Although skeptical at first, as soon as I put this into my car the steam had completely disappeared the next time I returned - it really does work! The dehumidifier simply attracts moisture like a magnet and diverts it away from your windows. What is it?It's like a little firm cushion (pretty solid inside) measuring approximately 16cm x 9cm.Where do I put it?Naturally it goes inside your car,I've placed mine on the little shelf which is attached to the rear boot of my car (see attached image), this way it is close to a window. The dehumidifier should be removed from the clear plastic bag before use. The product could be placed on your dash board or anywhere else possible (closer to a window is better but if you can't find anywhere close to a window, having it inside your car somewhere will be better than not having it at all). The cushion does not have any sticky tape attached, so to stop mine from moving about I found some double sided sticky tape and attached it down to the back of my car.How Long Does it Last?In the center of the cushion is a little circle. If the circle is blue the cushion is fine for use, but if it is pink (in other words filled with moisture) it simply needs putting inside a microwave for six minutes at 600 watts and it will turn back to blue again and it can go back in your car. To give you a guidance, I have owned mine for around two months now (two pretty cold months) and it is yet to turn to pink and has worked flawlessly every time. But I suppose it does matter what type of car you have and how often it is used as to how long it will last. The product is re-usable after putting inside a microwave and I expect mine to last a long time, although at this price it is no big deal even if it only lasts one winter!Naturally in winter if you turn your car engine off and remain seated for a short while the windows will start to steam up, the dehumidifier won't stop this from happening. But after you leave the car, the dehumidifier will start attracting moisture and on return (whether it's work, popping to the shops, visiting a relative etc) the windows will be completely clear of steam allowing you to continue your journey without having to spend time clearing each window.Overall due to the very low price and superb results I will strongly recommend this product.

I purchased this dehumidifier due to having to sit in my car for a good 10 minutes blasting air at the windows before I could see anything at all. I should probably be embarrassed about how excited I am about this product, but it is amazing. I could have done with this ages ago.The Pingi is a little, fairly solid cushion, reminiscent of those silica gel bags that come in new shoes.Honestly one of the best products I have bought, I place my Pingi at the front of my dashboard when I get out of the car and leave it to do its thing. It took a little while to work, and it was 3 or 4 days before I noticed any change in colour on the indicator, but after two weeks it had turned pink.It has now been in my car for this length of time and I no longer have to clear my screen before I can go anywhere. I also think it has improved the smell - whilst there was no nasty odor before, my car had begun to smell damp and this has now totally gone.RECHARGING; the instructions say that you can 'recharge' the Pingi by putting it in the microwave for 6 minutes at 600W. Some people have complained that this has burned their Pingi- obviously, like when microwaving anything, it's worth checking it during that time. I found that it took closer to 8 minutes to return the dot on my Pingi to its orginal blue colour. I took it out of the microwave every minute or so and shuffled it around to release steam, there was a lot, which was good to see as evidence of how much it had worked!Another thing that people have complained about is the car still steaming up if they are sitting in it in cold weather with the engine off. The car will steam up at this point, but can quickly be fixed by a blast from the air con, while this will attract the moisture that is circulating in the airwhilst you do so and continue to work once you leave.I cannot recommend this enough.

The bag is made from a tough, fairly thick moisture permeable woven nylon material, with silica gel crystals inside. My car would mist up on the inside (especially the windscreen) pretty much every night over colder and/or damper nights. I was having to wipe the inside before being able to drive.I bought two of these, and placed them beneath the windscreen, one in front of the driver’s seat, the other on the passenger side. They’re brilliant! They don’t stop the car from misting up while in use, for example if you’ve got caught in rain and then get in, but they do work very effectively over an hour or so with the car left empty of people.TIP: While driving,I keep mine in a clip-lock sealed lunch box to try and keep them as ‘dry’ as possible. Driving with your air-conditioning on (even when it’s cold outside) helps remove humidity from the air in the car.Mine seem lose being as effective after about 4 weeks, so that’s when I’ll ‘re-charge’ them. You’ll see how effective they have been when you ‘dry them out’ by popping in the microwave – the microwave has steam coming out, from captured moisture being released in the bags.Highly recommended! If you find this review useful, please consider clicking on ‘YES’ below, thanks!

I bought this one for my dad after buying my own one at the start of winter. My current car is the worst I've seen for condensation. It would need de-iced on the inside of the windscreen, covering me on the snow it produces! I'd do this to get to work on the morning, and it'd need it again to drive home. I was so fed up with the amount of water dripping off my windscreen and the length of time it took to clear up every time, that I went into a local supermarket and bought the first dehumidifier I saw. It was this one. It took a while before I saw a difference, can only imagine the amount of work it had to do! Since then, I've had no issues with the monsoon that would normally be present and waiting for me,it has been dry enough to get in and go.The timings aren't quite right for drying it out though, I have a category E 800W microwave, and still nuke it for the 6 minutes it says a 600W needs. The time quoted for my microwave (I cannot remember to be honest) was not quite enough to dry it. As it comes out with the fabric cover wet, I placed onto a radiator to dry that up after that and it was good to go again. It hardly needs recharged despite the amount of water it must have sucked up from my car. It's now a must have for me!

My husband's work car is rubbish. It hasn't had a working blower system for a couple of years now, and my hubby has just been dealing with it, wiping the condensation off the windscreen every morning during the cooler months and finally got fed up with it this week.He asked me to order him one of those little heat blowers you plug into the cigarette lighter, and I did buy him one, despite all the bad reviews for all of them. However I also added this dehumidifier to my basket and he put it in the car straight away that evening when it arrived. In the morning - NO CONDENSATION! Apparently. It could be there was a little itty bitty bit, I don't know I didn't see.But I text hubby and he said it was an amazing result being that normally he'd be having to wipe down the windscreen. He didn't have to that morning. He didn't even need to bother using the little heater thing either! Brilliant! If anything changes in the near future I'll update my this, but for now it seems this little cheap bag is doing the trick!

Well it does what it say's on the box and it does it well.Removes all excess moisture from your vehicle(7 seater)Not had to touch the inner glass since installation of which is just a case of placing them in the car. Most impressive thing is the removal of smells like your fast food chains that just seem to linger on.For the price you cant go wrong and I would strongly advise getting this product if your car sometimes can stand for a couple of weeks.I could imagine it working very well if you have dogs and they sometimes get in the car wet after a good walk,as they are always in the car they are always working. When they are full just take them out pop in the micro for the stipulated time and when they come out you will just see how much water they absorbed. The colour can fade in the magic dot window but only after a while but does not affect the fantastic job they do.I ended buying more than one and be getting a couple more for their sheer power of the moisture/Oder removal.Read full review...

The weather of rural locales is much to be desired, especially in the recent cold wet months. Usually the car windscreen would be frozen on the outside and fogged up on the inside, which usually means having to run the car for a while with the demisters and AC going full whack, or wiping the inside of the screen, which will inevitably leave annoying marks which you later see in the daylight.Whilst this doesnt help with the frozen exterior, I was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked inside. I left it on the dashboard overnight, and lone behold in the morning, the interior was crystal clear, no condensation. I keep it in the door sill when driving and put it back on the dash as a matter of habit when I leave the car.It isnt too heavy, but feels solidly contructed, in that it wont fall apart anytime soon. Once the blue dot changes colour, you can microwave it to "recharge it", removing the moisture. The dot returns to blue, and it can be reused again.Good product at an equally good price.

Absolutely brilliant product. I purchased these for my wife as she was having terrible problems with condensation on the inside windscreen of her Peugeot 107 car. The windscreen would actually freeze inside the car on cold mornings and this was causing real problems and severe aggravation. I did a lot of research on the internet and found this to be a common problems with small cars with this design. I found many suggestions but nothing we tried was very effective until i found this product by accident.I can confidently state that using 2 of these items located at each side of the windscreen has completely fixed the problem. The pads are placed on small non-slip mats, which keeps them in place. My wife is absolutely delighted (me also) and i recommend this product without any reservations. If anyone has condensation issues with relative confined spaces then this will cure the problem.

I must admit I was sceptical about the impact these would be able to make, but I often find the inside of our Zafira's windscreen mists up badly, and not having a heated screen, clearing it can be annoying, so I thought I'd give them a shot. The first worked well enough to make a noticeable improvement, so I bought a second, and have one each side of the dash (they sit conveniently in the recess next to the silly little triangular bits of glass there!)They do seem to reduce the amount of misting we see. I've "recharged" them a couple of times so far - I elected for just leaving them on the radiator overnight rather than nuking them in the microwave, but the next day their dot was back to blue and they felt noticeably lighter, ready for use again. So far, I've only been using them for a month or so, so can't comment on long term longevity yet.

Are you sceptical about a bean bag solving your misting problems, like I was.I’d very bad problems with the windscreen misting up in a Mazda Tamara ( 4 door ).Since the day I bought this, I’ve had no issues with the windscreen misting up. it works like a dream. I place mine on the dash, right next to the glass when the car is unoccupied. However, I do have to move it for driving as it tends to fly off the dash when cornering.I do wish it came with some kind of stable holder or clipWish I’d discovered this years before. It’s a great wee beanbag. With no moving parts, batteries or contents to replace - it is virtually maintenance free. Just place in a microwave at 600watts for 6 minutes and then leave on a dish drainer to cool and it’s good to go.The beanbag even has the ‘recharge’ instructions printed on it as a handy reminder.

This is a great invention and great to use. It starts of white in colour and this means you can use it to take in the moisture in your car so you can take less or no time to demist your car. You can use it in the microwave when the dot goes pink / red and when cool it turns white and you can re-use it in the car. If it is frosty, it will help on the inside and works really well. I have used all types of de-humidifier in my car including tubs that take in moisture but this is really well worth buying. I have on for the front and one for the back. With out it, you might find 10 mins to demist your car in winter but this will take less than 5 mins. When frost is on the car,it helps to clear your windscreen just as fast and stops frost from forming on the inside if you suffer from that too. Great item. Great value.

I have an ageing Volkswagen that has been damp inside for some time, to the point of having to clear a considerable amount of water from the inside of the windscreen every day. This product arrived yesterday evening and I put it in the car straight away hoping for some improvement. This morning, much to my amazement, the windows were completely free of any moisture at all, despite it raining all night! The bag itself is good quality fabric with good stitching. Around the bit that turns pink to tell you when to "recharge" is are the helpful words "recharge when this turns pink" and on the other side it clearly says "6 minutes at 600W" to remind you how to do that,so don't worry about throwing away the box with the instructions on.I'd highly recommend this if your car is suffering from internal damp.

This dehumidifier pack is a neat solution, but doesn't seem to have the absorption power of similar products. However having the colour changing spot and being dry to the touch is actually much better than my previous car dehumidifier. The product is actually quite small and I would recommend more than one depending on the size of your car etc.In use the spot turns white and goes a pale pink. To recharge you nuke it in the microwave. The process superheats the product forcing the moisture out by causing collected water to turn to steam. WARNING: This product is super hot after being recharged and I would advise that you handle with care (oven mitts, tea towel or kitchen tongs are essential).I'm sure you could have figured that out, I can't remember seeing a suitable warning on the packaging.

This product is really easy to use and has saved me ten minutes each morning during the winter months waiting whilst my windscreen clears. I live near London and the temperature can hit sub 5 degrees at night so a lot of condensation forms overnight, this product needed microwaving every few weeks or so but is well worth the extra money. Although small it is enough for a VW Polo. The indicator is clear so it is very obvious when you need to put the bag in the microwave, at which point the microwave fills with steam (showing just how much water this bag collects)I would highly recommend this product and would buy it again as the reusable nature of it appeals to me,If you found this review helpfulI would greatly appreciate it if you could hit the thumbs up!

I was being trouble with a lot of moisture on the inside of the windscreen which in the winter was turning to ice, thus doubling the clearing of the screen before going to work. I had tried a disposable dehumidifier which wasn't very efficient and was looking for something that perhaps plugged into the socket. I realised that these only work with the engine on and apparently you can't drive with them because of spillages so was pleased to read the positive reviews of this product. Sure enough the blue dot turned a mauvey pink overnight and the screen was dry. Strangely the disposable tub one also had worked but had got knocked over and made the floor wet. I love the drying out in the microwave.Time to stop chucking out things only used once.
