I don't really like many low-energy bulbs, and use them mostly from a sense of duty. These are the first ones I've actually liked - a pleasant colour and a good brightness.Like all CFLs, they take a while to warm up. Many people see this as a disadvantage, but I rather like it - I don't want to be suddenly dazzled.I'd have more of these around the house if I didn't have so many dimmer switches.

Decided not to take a cheap route for replacing bulbs in my house and to go for good quality low energy (or LED) bulbs. This one did not disappoint! Uses very little energy, gives off good light and is extremely well made. Recommended!

Economical lamps for kitchen and bathroom fittings, we were using four 60w spotlamps in the kitchen and three 60w spots in the bathroom a total of 520w now with these Philips Tornados we're down to 56w some power saving that.

A good bulb, bright and responsive and so far seems to be veryt reliable. A good lightbulb for general use
