I haven't tested the dimming feature, but for basic high quality illumination, it's pretty good.Colours are rendered almost identically to with a halogen lamp; luxurious burgundy/red fabrics retain their vibrance.Unlike some other lamps, this one is free from 100Hz flicker :-)(It seems a lot of people don't notice, but I find the flicker in many LED lamps causes me to see everything strobing, which is stressful and can even put me off balance - this one is fine).I can't vouch for the lifetime yet; my limited experience with other Philips LED GU10 lamps is that they haven't come close to their 15000 hour rating.
