I purchased an Osram LED lamp a few years ago and was not impressed. I was hoping that technology had moved on since then, and I have not been disappointed. I have an angle poise style desk lamp by my bed, which has been rewired with an inline dimmer switch - the type you would usually have on a wall, but with a surface back box. This lamp works great with a suitable dimmer switch - I have a Varilight V-Pro trailing edge dimmer - and can be programmed to dim almost as low as a halogen lamp. Most importantly it does not buzz at all, which, as it's next to my bed, I would definitely hear. I would have preferred a frosted shade, but the clear one doesn't cast any weird shadows on the walls,so it's fine. The only thing it's taken me a while to get used to is the yellow light. I've been used to halogen, which is more white, whereas this lamp produces light similar in colour to a traditional incandescent bulb. An excellent product. I just hope it lasts as long as it's claimed to!

It is efficient, worth every penny and looks great. Its clever arrangement of little LEDs inside the bulb, distributes light through a piece of curvy glass, which looks like and tungsten light. It works perfectly with dimmer and even changes Kelvin (colour) to more yellowish the same as tungsten, when it is in low dim. When it comes to CRI most of cheap LED light produce a poor colour range that result is your space looks like a cheap, dull, vulgar and depressed, hospital at the end of the world. This one though, it is almost as rich as tungsten light, even with professional eyes it takes some time and attention to realize it is LED light. You could say finally LEDs evolve enough for household use,and they don't look or workPS: TO PHILIPS, Please make more of these things! and make them tiny bit cheaper, so everyone can buy them.

These are the greatest LED lights I have ever used. Small in size, with a great wide angle throw of the light. Very pleasant deepening of the color tone as the light dims. The lights work very well with traditional "dumb" dimmer switches. (presumably, leading edge dimmer circuitry).Unlike other high quality bulbs, there is zero buzzing. Unlike other high quality bulbs, there is almost no perceptible jump between the dozens of brightness levels, no undue heat generation, and no buzzing. My only wishes are for a slightly better color rendering, and slightly higher maximum brightness. But compared to any other LED I have tried, including other Philips models as well as General Electric,Osram and countless no-names including IKEA bulbs, this is by far the best product considering a balance of the features offered.

An excellent series of bulb by Philips, I have been using led since the early days when calf where quite common, compared to early digital multi segment led bulbs of the past these bulbs are in a class of there own so far I have had zero issues around the house, whist other brands have died these early examples are still going strong almost 3 years later, light spread is very even and not direction focused as some others and is a very good match to traditional Edison bulb colour. If your dimmer is an old old analog you may have some issues dimming, but so far I have only had a problem with one dimmer, all the others even the old ge seem fine but do give a slight buzz on low levels either way these Philips bulbs have been excellent and I have no problem buying some more when the time arises.

Just changed the light fitting in my recently decorated dining room and now with this purchase am completely LED downstairs. It was important that lights were dimmable for this application since fitting directly over table and these work perfectly (no flickering), the warm white colour being just right. These are the first Philips LED light bulbs that I have purchased and I have to say that the overall impression (quality/performance) is very favourable. I do not have any other LED bulbs of this form factor so cannot directly compare to others. I was initially a sceptic of LED lighting but now am a full convert so its onwards and upwards to the bedrooms!

Wow. The engineering that went into this light. I'm impressed. 10/10 for design and ingenuity. The engineering team behind this knew their business well. I can't fathom where you start the design process that ends up with this shape that refracts light so well and distributes it so evenly. Hats off. And the same goes for the circuitry design behind the dimmable effect, so efficient and precise, I love how seamlessly it does its job despite being based on different LEDs turning on at different stages. Then again, it's only a lightbulb, and that's all it does. They could've achieved the same thing with a brighter LED, a diffuser and a big fat capacitor.

I like the clear glass & design, have two in a dimmable floor standing lamp which is on for most of the evening. They are fairly well hidden in the bowl on the top, the room is limited, more designed for the “golf ball” size lamps but these do fit without touching anything. The light is good, instant on, flicker free. These are some of the best dimmable bulbs I have used. When the TV is on all is good but in a quiet room the bulbs emit a little hum / buzz. Only had them 2 days, if it gets worse or disappears with use I will update. Would like to purchase more for other lights but will wait a couple of weeks to see how these perform.

This is a great product, made by an amazing brand. But even if looks great and very modern, I had to return this item as it has constantly buzzing and flickering while not at 100% power, it is a shame but I had to do it. I've changed a few light switchers and had the same problem until I have decided to also change the light bulbs and realised that in all this time it was the light bulb fault and not the dimmer itself.I've replaced them with https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01AWF0JK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I love the Warmglow range from Philips. It's the only range that has consistently given me exactly the type of lighting that I want, and the bulbs also look nice when they are switched on or off thanks to their smart design. I know that they aren't the cheapest to buy, but I've never had one fail on me yet and they are definitely my first choice. This one has been just as good as the others that I have bought and is currently in an outdoor lantern giving a good, bright light in my garden but without being starkly coloured.

I got this bulb on a whim while buying Philips SES bulbs for my other lamps. I'm so glad I made the plunge - I replaced another supposed 60W equivalent LED from a generic supermarket brand with one of these and it is noticeable how much bright this bulb is. This plus two SES 60W bulbs have transformed my living room into a much bright and warmer space. As a result I've decided I'm going to start paying more and buying branded bulbs like Philips; not all bulbs are alike. These are worth the money so far.

I've bought a few energy saving bulbs that apparently are dimmable, but tend to flicker - the gas ballast is not great, but this one is perfect - no flickering. The light is bright without being glaring. It came really well packaged and doesn't seem to have an element - actually looks space aged. Very impressed as it's also cheaper than my previous duimmable energy saving bulbs which don't work so well. I will be back for more.

I tried lots of cheap LED bulbs, including amazonbasics, because they are physically smaller at higher lumen levels and I want really bright ones that fit in my fittings. However, none of these dim very well, although they should and are compatible. Flicker etc comes in to play. These things dim superbly all the way down. And they're pretty brigh. Not as bright as my 13w ones of course, but for most people, more than enough.

I have only just received these so cannot give any long-term assessment. But initially they went in well, and are of a similar brightness to the bulbs I had in before and the best thing about them is that they dim well without any flickering need to change the dimmer switch. Also they do not stay on as some LEDs do when they pick up a residual current even though the light switch is off. So, so far, good.

I bought a dimmable IKEA lamp with their recommended dimmable LED bulb (Ikea branded). The bulb made quite a loud humming noise when using the dimmer. I've had good experience with other Philips LED bulbs so thought I'd give this a try. It's much quieter than the Ikea bulb in the same dimmable lamp. Colour temperature looks good too so there's nothing not to like.

Bright and white but casts an odd shadow on the walls and ceiling due to the shape of the LED middle. There are concentric rings on the ceiling as my shades are entirely glass. Didn't really like this effect so bought some alternative bulbs instead. Donated the bulb to my parents who have different shades and they are delighted at the brightness and the effect.
