This is one of my best buys. I have been able to make fresh food daily for my baby. Sometimes I use it more than once a day because it's quick and easy to make and clean. Basically you chop up your fruit/veg and place it into the jug. There is a maximum level line. Then close the lid and put it on the main steamer. You get a measuring beaker for the water that is needed. Switch the dial to the left and it steams. You can completely forget about it. Once it's done it beeps. Switch it off then turn the jug up side down, switch the dial to the right and it purées. You get a table in the guide that tells you how much water each food will take to steam such as carrots take 15mins, apples take 5mins.

I have used this product non stop for a long time now and I imagine i will use it still for years to come. I am not a great cook, so having this useful tool in my kitchen is a lifesaver. It is very easy to use, quick and effective. You can create a whole meal without using lots of pots and pans, it simply gets on with the job on its own. That means you can catch up with million and one things, while yor babys meal is getting ready. I also allows you to relax enough to improvise occasionaly and maybe discover some new tastes. The fact it steams the fruit and veg instead of cooking in a pot means, that the meals are richer in vitamins. Blender is very useful especialy in the first few months of weening,

I found the gadget very useful. Easy to cook, easy to clean, easy to use in general. And pretty compact comparing w/ a normal steamer and/or a normal blender. I recommend it to everybody. It saves precious time to whoever takes care of the baby.The bad thing about it in my case is that the sample I received had one bug. The blender unlock was not working properly, it looks like a manufacturing defect. And since I've ordered it from UK and I live in Romania, I have no warranty. But I've easily patched it, but forcing it to always unlock the steamer function (anyhow the steamer is working only when you keep the button switched, so I don't even know why they have that unlock).

I bought this in order to prepare fresh food for my second child. I am a firm believer in giving fresh home prepared food but found it quite stressful and tedious the first time around moving between steamers, blenders, moulis etc!!! A friend told me about this little gadget the second time around and I have to say that there is no stopping me now ... armed with Annabel Karmel I prepare a new batch of food most mornings!!! As with other reviewers my only criticism of the product would be in relation to the amount of food the unit holds, as my little man is getting bigger and his portion sizes are increasing I'm getting fewer portions.

I can not imagine life without it! The best buy so far. I am making everything, it is great for all fruits and vegetables purees, you can make it so runny and juicy (do not fill out the juice - blend it in) or for the babies weaning stage 2 you can blend just briefly - to leave more stiff consistence. I do steam even stiff apricot or peach to make it soft, also I am steaming finger food such as carrots parsnips sweet potato sticks. Even I blending 100% natural oats into powder to make my own porridge as baby allergic to aptamil and all other porridges from the shops.Just one tip - you have to clean the green steaming lidl underneath it gets stuck pieces of food.

This gadget is the reason my little one is an avid little eater, and much prefers mum's cooking to any packets (yes, even Ella's). It's foolproof, time-efficient, well made, easy to clean, doesn't take up too much space and has been, thus far, 100% reliable. I even take it on holiday. Used in conjunction with Gina Ford's weaning book, we have a little one happily munching her way through three meals a day, having tried lots of different flavours and, now textures. We've been using it for every meal (including breakfast fruit) for three months. I'm sure I'd have caved and gone to packets without this machine and that my little girl wouldn't be as good an eater.

It does perfectly the job and very easy to use!As a daddy that little steamer is a blessing. The fact that you just need to cube your veges or fruits and the steamer does the rest is just simple and easy.You just fill up your water and turn the button to steam and riiiing! VOILA! your vegs are ready. You then switch it around and twist to blend and in 2 min you get your mash or soup!Cleaning? Super easy as you can dismantle every parts in matter of seconds and just wash them all on the go.I now even use it for us when I'm doing our meals for quick mash, broccoli, green beans.. while I just cook the meat separately.

Fantastic product for making your own organic baby food. I did a lot of research and didn't want to spend a lot on a product I would use for months but this processor can be used for toddlers as well to steam veggies or to make smoothies, and cook sauces and food in even shorter time. I thought its capacity was small but it's not bad, you can make a large quantity and cook in small batches later when their food intake increases. Also the reduced price makes it worth it and with a good brand like avent it will last, powerful motor. It's also easy to use, easy to clean, and doesn't take u much space or of your time.

I didn't want to invest too much money but decided to buy this because I like the idea that can steam and blend easily. Good to know that we can put parts in dishwasher, although all parts easy to clean. Initially green part didn't come off easily from lid, found inside lid stained by red pepper, unable to get rid of. Contacted Philips online chat service, great support although stain didn't come off. The blending quality is excellent. Recipe is not much useful, too many language in book, can't be bother. Overall I am enjoying using this machine. Recommended to Mum who wants to know what your baby exactly eats!

The baby food steamer was recommended by my cousin, who has a 7month old baby. I ordered it, even though my baby is still too small for solid food, but honestly - one of my best purchases ever! I love it - fresh and healthy meal in just under half an hour! We wanted to try out how baby food tasted before giving it to the baby and I can honestly say - it is so much better then the baby purees you can buy in stores: it is fresh and you know 100% what is inside.The device is easy to assemble, easy to operate and easy to clean after use - what more do you need!I would recommend it to all parents!

Don't have a blender and wanted something that makes meals for the baby easy and this is it.Really simple to use, cut food into small cubes, steam, turn over then blend!Not just for use of fruit and veg, can cook meats in too. Comes with handy instructions to help you cook for the right length of time by measuring out the amount of water that is equal to that time, this is made easier by the little measuring jug that comes with it.Easy to clean as all the pieces come apart.Small enough to go in the cupboard when not in use.Now being used for our second child, built to last!

I really wanted to make my own babyfood and found alot of steamer/processor products. I chose this because philips is a known brand with a reputation and I have not been disappointed. It is an efficient little machine that does precisely what it says. There is no messy transferring from one receptacle to another. You just put the food in, pour the water into the stand part, turn the dial to steam and when its done it beeps - then you just turn the top jug part upside down back on the stand and turn the dial to process. Hey presto! Easy to clean and to use repeatedly.

I don't even know where to start!!! This is the best thing i bought!!! It is great thing for busy parents and to be honest who is not busy when you have children. I absolutely love it. you just have to chop vegetables and put in in the container and let it steam. than you turn it around and you blend it there is nothing easier and healthier for your baby than this.sometimes i just make a lot of small containers leave it in the freezer and i don't have to worry about cooking food for my baby for a week!!!Get it and you will definitely make your life easier!!!

This is an amazing product! It's easy to use and easy to clean. It makes simple, healthy food for your baby and allows you to have control over what your child eats. I have been using this for the last week and my daughter could not be happier. It may seem pricy and to be honest, that factor almost put me off but I believe it has more than paid for itself already. If you add up what you would spend on jars of baby food over a month, it would be a fairly sizeable sum. I love this gadget and would recommend it to all mums and dads even considering buying it!

A fantastic piece of equipment. As a grandmother who used to have to do everything the hard way, i.e steam, mash by hand or use a massive food processor, this is so easy, wash the vegetables, chop, place in the steamer part, fill with water and switch on. When the beeper goes, turn upside down and blend to the consistency you need. That's all there is to it. A very necessary piece of equipment! I know that there are no additives to the food as it is fresh each day, just fresh vegetables or fruit. The baby loves eating, long may it last.
