This is a soft elephant that comes with a dummy attached to it's trunk. The dummy it comes with is suitable for a child 0-6 months but you could easily change the dummy for an older child or as your baby grows. This is clever-it will make it easy to find the dummy in the case of what we use to call a "dummy malfunction" (dummy falls out of baby's mouth while sleeping leading to crying) and you could easily teach an infant to find the comforter and thus the dummy to reinsert into mouth when the infant is a bit bigger. Also, when your child starts to outgrow dummy, I guess the idea is that they receive comfort from the toy and get to cuddle that while sleeping in the absence of the dummy. You can easily take the dummy off to wash /steralise it and clean the elephant. The elephant is soft and cuddly and it all comes well packaged and perfect for wrapping as a gift. The price is a bit steep at £30.15 at the time of writing but you get what you pay for and it's Philips Avent so a decent brand with a great safety record for babies. It's BPA-free and claims 98% teat acceptance.Overall a lovely product that you should get several years' use from! If your child ends up needing this to sleep, buy at least two to prevent disaster when one if misplaced/in dire need of a wash!

Phillips Avent elephant snuggle baby comforter with ultra soft soother.5*This Phillips Avent ‘Ultra Soft’ soother is lovely; its very soft and my baby (2 months old) finds it very comforting and soothing. She keeps it in her mouth too which is great because I was previously using MAM soothers and she didn’t take to them as well. I think it is because this one really is soft. The whole dummy including the plastic fits the contours of her mouth well; the top of the dummy doesn’t touch her nose etc. It’s also attached to a little elephant toy which is very cute and really nice quality too. My baby likes to hold the toy already and I imagine she’d like it a bit more once she’s older. It’s the perfect small size for a baby to hold whilst being big enough that it makes the dummy more noticeable so no more losing under the baby’s blankets and so on. The dummy is attached by Velcro hidden under the elephants trunk so it’s easy to take the dummy on and off which is great for sterilising and cleaning.I would recommend this product, you could get cheaper but you can feel quality in this.

I have been using this for the last few days and have been very impressed with it.The size of the snuggle was a lot smaller that I expected, which is good as if fist on the chest of my nephew really well. Any bigger and I thing is would have drowned him out, possibly it would have over heated him and he would been uncomfortable. As it is, it sits perfectly on him causing no over heating issues at all. The quality of the snuggle is really good too - soft to touch and well sewn. The dummy is also attached to the snuggle so it does not get lost is spat out. However, the only reason I cannot give this product a full 5 stars is that the there is no way to detach the dummy from the snuggle. As such, washing the snuggle will cause likely damage to the dummy, and there is no way to sterilise the dummy effectively save for dipping it in hot water and holding it for a while. I would really like to see a way to attach and detach dummies on later products from this designer in future. All in all a cute, well made product.

Worth every penny for the Knowledge your Pup won't damage it or himself while he teeths. Oh, the pup is 4 months old so not small. Just the Perfect Toy & could be even better with a teether fitted.

This is the cutest little thing, and it's about half the size I was expecting (the box is just 12cm high). And I think the elephant is gorgeous. But it absolutely is not worth the current price of £24.14 ... afterall it's just a cute, very small toy, with a dummy attached via a little velcro strip which you could easily put together yourself with a toy and a dummy (if you could be bothered that is). I would have said its worth maybe £10 to £12 max. It's nice that the dummy can be taken off by undoing the velcro strip so it can be washed. And I'm sure a new parent would be happy with it but it doesn't look like a £25 gift. But if money is not an issue then I'm sure you will be happy with it.And yes if you have a very tiny new born then they will probably only be able to use it when they are led down, but they will soon get used to holding it and I'm sure will love it.So I'd recommend as long as you don't mind the price.

I was never a fan of dummies when I was a baby, but these seem to be all the rage at the moment. They certainly seem to be more appealing and less easy to lose than the ones from when I was young. It can also be switched out with a simple flick of the wrist, the dummy can be removed for sterilising, and also if you need to wash the elephant. These will be a great comforter for your child and easy to find, so you’re not waking up in the middle of the night to give them it back! And once they’ve moved on from the dummy, you can keep the toy for them.It also comes well packaged, so you can give it as a gift for a baby due to be born. As it’s in a square package, it’s also easy to wrap, which is a bonus in my opinion.Definitely worthwhile getting if you’re bringing up your baby with a dummy.

This baby comforter from the Philips Avent range is both cute and innovative and makes finding that elusive soother a whole lot easier once little one has thrown it overboard. The soft toy giraffe is made in China and the soother in the UK in consultation with healthcare professionals – the giraffe features a Velcro mouth which holds the soother securely in place until an adult releases it for sterilizing. The soft toy can be used with all Philips Avent soothers plus many others too, and it can be machine washed as necessary. Currently under eighteen pounds from Amazon this Snuggle Baby Comforter by Philips is decent value for the design and quality and could prove to be more useful than it looks – five stars for Philips'innovation and quality.

This is a good idea, a baby's dummy attached to the trunk of a cute cuddly elephant. It makes it easy to find the dummy in the cot, and gives the baby something to cuddle and stroke when going to sleep. I think I was a bit mis-led by the photos but I was expecting something a bit bigger. Nevertheless it's a cute toy. The elephant is machine washable and the dummy can be removed for cleaning. Also, if you lose the dummy and want to replace it, then you can do this easily as it's attached with velchro. It's a lovely gift for a newborn baby (or up to about 6 months) but I was surprised at how expensive it is. Admittedly it's well made, but I would have thought around £15 would have been more affordable than nearly £23!

This is a cute and cuddly comforter with the added bonus of being able to attach a dummy to it.The toy is a soft plush and fits all avent soothers. Dummy can be easily removed for sterilisation and washing the toy. This will make the dropped dummy search much easier. It feels pretty lightweight and soft for babies delicate skin.As child grows they will be able to grasp toy better themselves which will help develop hand eye coordination.I’m sure this will be a childhood favourite as it travels with baby as they grow. However, I do feel it is rather overpriced at £30.15 and may not be affordable for everyone. To be honest I would prob just buy a blanket at half the price and soother on its own.

Since my son’s pediatrician recommended soothies, this was the perfect product. As a first time mom, I had no idea why you would want a wubbanub. Then, I realized his pacifier would always come out... what an annoyance! Huge problem with the wubbanub and other brands was that the paci could not be detached! I was not fond about spot cleaning the stuffed animal and wiping the paci (especially when my son had Thrush!) I love that the soothie snuggle can detach so I can throw the giraffe in the wash and sterilize the paci! Now if his paci comes out, I’m not wasting time looking for it and can easily pop it back in his mouth. Thank you!!

This is about the size of a baked bean tin - see photo. It is a lovely idea as you gift both a toy and a dummy so I would consider this as a new baby present. The toy is perhaps going to pull the dummy out of your baby's mouth, owing to its weight (although it is very light, not bean filled). If you are going to be with baby, eg when out with a pram or pushchair, this potential negative becomes a positive in that it is harder to lose a dummy with a giraffe attached to it!I love the cute giraffe and the fact that this, and the dummy can be separated and washed/sterilised is a great advantage.

Love these soother and comforter combos which are perfect for when baby is getting more independent with sitting alone in the their buggy or feeding chair etc and at that time when they want something in their hands to explore all the time and cuddle for support - the giraffe comforter gives lots to hold on to and snuggle and explore and is super soft while the very good quality soother as expected from the Philips Avent range stays in very easily and has very good acceptance and retention rate. The giraffe is very sweet too and great quality - would definitely recommend above others we have.

Lovely Philips avent soother 0-6 months with soft cute giraffe soother holder with Velcro loop to attach making it easy to replace/sterilized the soother and machine wash the giraffeGreat idea to avoid loss of soother and making it easy to find during the night/while out and aboutCute and would make a nice giftI'm not sure that at nearly £18 that this is value for money or if you purchase it as a gift that it doesn't look like you spent £18. Personally I wouldnt pay more than £10 for it.Great quality and brand however I wouldn't recommend due to the currently high £18 cost.

Just the sweetest little baby elephant with large floppy ears very similar in appearance to Dumbo, a famous Disney character. My daughter's already smitten!Plush, soft fabric that will age well with our little one as he's washable. As she gets older she can do away with the pacifier and just have little Dumbo, as we've named him, as a favourite cuddly comforter.I wouldn't pay any more than £15 for him as otherwise he's way to costly. The cute presentation box means these set animal comforters make a lovely addition to a baby shower hamper or a very worthy token gift.
