We have the Tommee Tippee day and night prep machine which can I just say is fabulous. It’s made making bottles easy for the past 7 months since our little boy was born. The filter for the machine is fabulous. As mentioned we’ve been using the machine for 7 months and the machine tells you when it’s time to change the filter. For us it’s been about every 10 weeks. It’s really straight forward to change the filter over and takes minutes. It’s peace of mind knowing the water is being filtered for the bottles as it’s being made. We can just put the water into the machine without thinking of filtering it first as we live in a hard water area. I recommend the machine and filters to everyone I talk to,

The Perfect Prep was one of my absolute best baby buys, so these filters are crucial. My first filter lasted 4-5 months (making 4-6oz bottles), and the second one has just been changed after 3 months now that we are making much bigger bottles so they do last for ages. The only negative point I would say is that the instructions that come on the filter don't match the full instructions that come with the machine and they don't tell you to press the filter reset button to make the light go off. This doesn't seem like a big problem, but I can't see that button on my machine because of where it is sat in my kitchen,

I'm a huge supporter of the perfect prep machine - it's a huge time and stress saver, I've written a long review on it so won't go over it here, but if you value time, sleep etc I would recommend buying one! As far as the filters they last around three months, I'd recommend changing them at 3 months even if the light hasn't come on, to ensure the water quality and to look after the device. Using these are simple and essentially involve:A. Remove old filter.B. Prime new filter in drinking water.C. Insert new filter.D. Filter machine prime.E. Reset filter button.Simple. It has to get 5 stars, it's designed for hte Perfect Prep machine, which we have been using February. It's so easy to install, you dip it in water until all the bubbles are out. Put it in the machine and fill the machine with water. Oh yeah and then you make your feed. It's that simple. The only thing you have to remember is to not touch the bottom part of the filter as this is in the filtered water used, so by touching it, you'll be contaminating it, so don't!Otherwise I can honestly say it's been a great purchase, the machine is so easy to use, and you can have a feed (210ml) in under 3 minutes, and it's the right temperature! Which as a parent saves a lot of time!

I recommend the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep machine to all new parents. At 3 in the morning the last thing you want is to be waiting 30 minutes for the water in the kettle to cool down as recommended by the health visitor. The filters generally need replacing after 3 months. Ours first needed replacing over Easter weekend so we couldn't get one straight away and the machine actually refused to work after about 10 bottles until the filter was replaced. These are available on prime though so any other time we won't have this problem. It could be an idea if you get to 3 months of usage to buy one of these in preparation for when it will be needed.

I love the perfect prep machine, it has made making bottles so easy and quick, there's nothing worse than having to wait for a bottle to cool down when your baby is hungry. The filter is obviously a key part to perfect prep, my only criticism is that before fitting you need to submerge the filter to get rid of the bubble but due to the length of the filter a jug is not deep enough to do this, neither is a big bowl holding the filter on its' side.The only thing I have found to work is using a pint glass but that still not give enough room to grip it. If Tommee Tippee could make a slightly shorter one then it would be perfect.

It was very easy to fit into the machine following the instructions. The water takes some time to run through the filter to be able to use the prep machine, but this suggests to me that it’s doing its job of filtering the water sufficiently. Having used the filter with the machine for a while now, we have no complaints. Its great value for money, does the job it should do and lasts for around 3 months per filter. Price seems reasonable given it stops your baby getting poorly. It’s just one of those things you have to buy plus you get one with the machine in the first place. Easy to replace just remember to do a cleaning cycle. Also, have noticed on other reviews that people are replacing their filters once the red filter light comes on and saying they didn’t get 3 months worth. The manual says a solid red light is just an early indicator and you don’t need to replace filter until it starts flashing. My prep machine started flashing after approx a week and a haltf from solid to flashing. Worth a mention to get full use out of filter.

The perfect prep machine is absolute fantastic and the filters last forever, however there will come a time when you need to replace the filters and then you will needed these. I highly recommend getting the official filters and not try and find a alternative. Yes they do cost a lot but when it comes to the safety of our kids, its something you just should not compromise on.Any parent considering bottle feeding would find the perfect prep machine fantastic and it saves so much hassle heating and cooling a bottle to get the right temperature and its so much quicker and easier.

Essential cog in the Tommee Tippee baby feed maker, lasts 3 months or so. Easy to install, seems sturdy and was adequately packaged, a little on the expensive side in my opinion, but there we go! Having the filter and it’s corresponding machine has made early morning feeds that much more bearable and is a mini life saver!WARNING - do not ignore the instructions to rinse the filter thoroughly in water - there is quite a bit of black ‘fluff’ like spots to loosen out and it’s something I personally wouldn’t like to think of my child consuming, so remember to do that!

Do not compromise your child’s health, these are a little more expensive than others but are worth every penny.We had a couple of the original filters when we bought the unit itself, when they expired I looked at these and thought they were overpriced compared to others that were on sale, I hate to admit when I’m wrong........ but, I was wrong.The others we bought did not filter all of the water through and stayed at the half way mark,after time I also noticed a green algae.Do not buy copies, I have wasted my money on them and have learned the hard way.
