We have several players here and this one is just simply the best. The error correction is top-notch and having proper 7.1 analogue outputs means that it can be used with conventional amp and speakers and of course is ideal for use with a proper sound system using active speakers.We have this hooked up to a 24:10 Soundcraft mixer that feeds seven Genelec speakers set into the walls and two Genelec subs. The image goes to an Optima projector and a 2.5m screen and is part of a professional post production studio.There is of course nothing to stop anyone from using the 8 audio outputs on the UB820 to feed a receiver, set of amps or active speakers directly.Once again,

I would highly recommend this 4K Blu-ray player when playing 4K dvd the picture on the tv screen is outstanding. The depth of colour is outstanding You will also notice a big difference in the picture when playing standard Blu-ray Discs as it enhances the picture quality as well. I’ve not yet tried a standard dvd to see what the picture is like. The player links to internet via Wi-Fi for firmware updates which is great. Please note you need the highest quality HDMI leads between your 4K tv and this player to get the best viewing experience

This is an upgrade from an earlier model. The only reason to upgrade really was for Dolby Vision support. This player is excellent like the previous Panasonic was in the picture department, sound quality is good too. It has all the socketry that you should need, 2 HDMI’s, analogue outs etc.Still looks the same though after about 3 or 4 years since I purchased the previous one.

The image quality from the disc media and from streaming media is vastly superior, from what it was through my xbox and the tv apps. Although the interface could be more polished than it is. The audio hdmi out port is a god send, as I've not had HD audio for ages, due to my amp not having uhd hdr passthrough.

Although the build quality isn’t great it makes up for this with simply breathtaking picture & sound quality with plenty of useful features such as Netflix which I’ve only just started using as they have a good choice of Dolby Vision unlike Sky currently.Incredible value for money .

This player looks, nice and sleek. Picture and sound quality are amazing. This is a tweakers heaven . Theres settings and features for everything. It handles, 4k hdr Dolby vision and even get those in the Netflix and prime video apps and atmos to boot. Love this player!

This is simply an amazing player; 4K, Blu-ray, all-region DVD's, CD, CD-R, and a host of other formats, all in one player. Picture quality is stunning; even old DVD's look great, thanks to upscaling.Those are the Pro's. The Cons? none at all! Don't hesitate! .

it has stunning visual picture quality particularly with HDR the sound quality is excellent as well I did do some research on 4K players and this model for its price was a recommended by and now that I have one I can see why. I can recommend it

I'd heard how good this player was, but WOW, so many features and the up scaling is amazing, i put a season 2 disc of CSI VEGAS in it and it up scaled it to 4k.

I have only had the Panasonic dp-ub820 for a week but I am enjoying the viewing of my movie collection I need to get more 4k hdr films

Stunning image quality and excellent audio. If you're looking for the best of Blu-ray, you can't go wrong with this Panasonic.

More expensive (and larger) than other units in Panasonic's range but well worth the difference for sound and vision quality.
