this is a great Stick, How every Republic of Ireland buyers, note there is a few apps you wont get and are only for UK viewers only.main apps you will get In Ireland, Netflix,youtube, googlefilms,rakuten tv, plex, skystore and there all sorts of internation apps for different languages you can download.for some reason even though it availabe both in uk and ireland is sky nowtv app, the app is on available to download in the uk, maybe sky in the future will make the app availabe in Ireland in the near future.remote control on this stick has the ability to control your off/on tv and volume controls.fits directly into a hdmi port on television and if you have a usb port on your tv you can plug it there for the power,

Great piece of kit! Bit annoying have setup account to fully get it working but I guess that's 'Big Brother' for you!Pic quality is great (and I'm not using 4K TV) minimal buffering (but obvs depends on ur internet)!Would be good if they supplied longer lead for USB power as with what they give u they must think pple have mains socket less than 6in frm back (or side) of their TV! TV USB doesn't provide enuff power!Would be nice have bit more guide to selecting channels as lots are subscription but you don't find out until to install it and try access prog! Would be good for NetFlix account holders straight off!Useful if you don't have ariel or satellite connections!

This piece of kit is brilliant. Originally purchased same from Currys on ebay which was obviously faulty and refunded. This one surpassed all my expectations, fairly easy to set up but finishing off setup via internet was a bit lengthy however as soon as completed the stick was installed and updates provided via download. I use this principally for Netflix as all other content is already on my Sky box. Picture quality is superb at 1080p and range of options is quite staggering. Remote links to tv automatically and can turn it on/off and adjust/mute volume. You have to open an acct with Roku which is secure and used in case you make purchases. Beauty of it is in my case I can use Paypal for any payments.

Everyone in my family likes baseball which we watch on mlb.tv. We used to connect to that app by a smart bluRay player (Panasonic) that could access it. When the MLB no longer supported that player we had to find an alternative and the Roku does the job extremely well, with excellent HD video content and very stable streaming. We haven't tried any of the other features since it was bought for that specific purpose, but I would expect it to perform equally well with other apps.The best thing for us, though, is that we can unplug the Roku stick and take it from the big screen in our front room to another one,

Have installed Roku for myself in three diverse locations, installed it for clients and couldn't praise it enough. Easy to use, great for finding specific on demand content and a saviour for those who rely on their TV for entertainment during the day when there's little of any serious worth on live viewing. Far cheaper than a sub to SKY. There is a great deal of useless content but the main programmes are mostly present and options for Classical music and Educational channel are worth subscribing to. The only shame is that the NatGeo channel is not available in the UK.

Really impressed with this streaming stick. It always amazes me how many features can be packed into such a small device. The Roku stick provides access to so many channels it can take a while to decide what to watch. The Downloadable app for your mobile provides a remote control on your phone with the ability to use it for wireless listening via the phones earbuds. Setup was easy and it provides access to all the channels I want. The only minor niggle is there doesn't appear to be a mute on the remote, but apart from that it ticks all the boxes.

The product is great, really easy to update a television which is either lacking a modem or does not support the latest channels. Really easy to connect, but you will need a HDMI port spare and if you want the television to power it you will need a usb port near to it. My only complaint was not with the product as I now have YouTube and Disney + was how Argos said it was in stock and available to collect on the day. Only after completing the order was I then told I could collect it a week later!

Have an indoor aerial and couldn't get some freeview channels. Didn't want Sky Now or Prime (though available with Roku). No aerial needed. Freeview is limited (not all OTA freeview gets streamed) BUT you get boxsets, historic episodes, etc. Just need HDMI & USB (mains or tv) & broadband. Wifi adaptor is a little moveable. Remote ISN'T line of sight. Get 1080p with 13mbs wifi connection. Only 3 stars for EPG as it's channel dependent & can be messy. Have to create (free) accounts to get freeview

We got this to get a tv working in a new house, away from the existing wiring. We have good WiFi. We had used a Roku Express before. This model has higher definition and clarity, and has a WiFi remote. It also turns the TV on and controls volume. So you only need the one little remote! It copes with our simple needs (iPlayer, All4, Itv hub) but it does all the other streaming apps, with fast buttons for some of them like Netflicks. We’re not sure we’ll bother with wiring to the dish and aerial.

I bought this as I wanted to use less remotes, I can’t see any negatives so far.The best part I can use my phone or iPad to connect headphones and use all the features of the remote, my plasma LG recognised the stick and connected using the best my tv could offer HD 1080 so is future proof.I have a Roku express as well so I can see the difference and performance values.The apps have all the ones that I do use and connect well, all in all a very decent devise that delivers in a small package.

This gadget turned our 10 years old Panasonic dumb telly into a smart one. You will need to ensure your old TV has an HDMI input and you must have a strong WIFI signal. Easiest way to check the WIFI is to first see if you can stream to your smartphone ( not laptop or PC) at the site where the TV will be. If so fine, if not then consider ways to boost the WIfi signal. I use the BT Halo mesh system and can stream Netflicks to the summer house 50Mts away. Argos will sell you other ways to boost.

I bought this Roku streaming stick+ PLUS for second TV (have been suing Roku 3 on main TV since 2013 as primary streaming device), and can't be any happier. Various new features like TV on/off button and volume buttons on the Roku remote, small size (a bit longer than usb memory drives) still good speed, perfect streaming/picture quality. I would highly recommend to anyone! The main apps that I use are Netflix and Plex. There is even Netflix dedicated button on this remote to launch it quickly.

The Roku 4K streaming stick is my 3rd streaming stick. I have the amazon fire and the google chrome cast prior to getting this one. I can honestly say this is by far my favourite of the 3. It has a very wide selection of applications for all your viewing needs and has both YouTube and amazon prime functionality. Something that is missing from the other devices due to ongoing disputes. The controller is responsive and tactile and offers full range of television control including power and audio!

Bought this as my old LG TV has stopped supporting some services and what's left is very slow to use. Has all the services for catch up also has Plex for home movies, and music collection from my pc. Instant buffering, voice search is very swanky. WiFi only but never had a problem with connection and quality,very quick. My friend is about to buy one too so they can get rid of their boxes for a neater setup, this uses the power from from the TV's USB socket, its cheap on the electrical bill too.

Out of sight behind the TV. Maybe an issue for those with a wall mounted TV but an adapter available from Roku or a simple right angled connector should overcome this. Unlike some other ‘sticks’ this one is perfectly happy with the power level available from the TV’s USB port. Wi-Fi is fine. Boots up quite quickly. Cannot comment on its 4K abilities as my TV is 1080p, but its eventual successor will be 4K. The dedicated buttons on the remote should be user programmable. Netflix, OK. The others?
