An excellent blu-ray machine with two small design issues. First of all, the recorder plays very well - the picture quality is excellent - the remote is easy to use and the machine is quick and responsive to remote commands. The issues, I couldn't find tray open/close on the remote. And it's soon apparent why, the front panel needs to be pulled down to expose the tray, only then should you select the open/close option on the top right of the player. The second issue, appears when selecting play with a 3D disc inserted. If the player is in automatic mode, I couldn't get it to play the disc as 3D - the machine decided the disc was 2D for some strange reason. Not a huge issue though,

Software is quicker than that on my previous Blu-ray player, which was also a Panasonic. Initial setup is simple ans picture quality on my Samsung TV is very good. Media server function is useful although it's a shame that media copied onto the player from a USB HDD isn't available through the server. The twin TV receivers mean that one TV channel can be watched while another is being recorded or tow channels can be recorded. NIce machine in very good condition considering it's a refurb.

Nice browser window and capability to transfer recordings to flash driveJust wish response while browsing and waiting for guide to populate was quicker....it's a problem with ALL freeview recorders...Humax, etc but nowhere near as slow as Youview which is like wading through treacle.TV's dont seem to suffer from it and neither does my ancient Humax Foxsat free sat receiver ....strange seems to be just freeview recorders.

Does exactly what you want it to do and does it well.I now have four of these linked into my tv’s all with twin tuners, this ones also got Freeview Play. They are very easy to link with a external usb drive. I use Toshiba 1Tb drives as they are very inexpensive, around £28 and super reliable. I’m going to get two more and plug them straight into my new 58 inch Panasonic TV, awesome recording ability.

The easiest thing I have ever set up, it literally took a few minutes. Everything was very straightforward, and I was quickly recording two channels while watching another. Picture quality was super, as where the Smart programmes I watched. A lot of entertainment for a small price

Easy menu with three main uses.1. Freeview review2. Recorder3. BluRayAl unit that plays BluRay to a high standardOnly small criticism is the slow start up on the Freeview menu system.Otherwise a well made and quality product.

Can't fault this machine. Picture quality A1. Sound A1. Functions A1. And with Freeview Play adds the icing on the cake. Very intuitive and easy to use (although obviously a complex machine). From a very happy bunny!

The bonus of this machine is that it turns your older TVs into a Smart tv, so if you're satisfied with your TVs performance apart from the fact that it's not a swish Smart tv then this machine is ideal.

Well designed, quality Panasonic product at a bargain reconditioned price. Only for the plain packaging and tatty instruction manual I could not distinguish this from a brand new unit.

Excellent product. Just what we wanted and much easier to use that our previous one which it replaces.Would certainly recommend this machine. TV picture is also much better quality.

Ihad a similar panasonic before this and this one is better in some ways.the epg was quicker on the other one and it had a card reader other wise its ok

Great quality and frees up 2 extra hdmi ports making the TV smart as it has Amazon Prime & Netflix. Easy to set up, perfect condition & great value.

Nice and compact, very easy to set up although only using the basics at the moment as still finding my way round the remote.

Well made good quality but it is slower than my previous model recorder DMV-ex78 which was much quicker in operations

Works really well and a good picture. Menus and programme guide a bit slow to load otherwise a great bit of kit!
