Great value for the price, reliable mostly but has hung a couple of times requiring a cold restart. Menus and functional options are quick to navigate through. Remote handset is well laid out and easy to operate but not in low-light conditions (e.g. home cinema). CD Audio is quick to load and play. Old CD's only show Track 1... Track n. No track lookup option using Gracenote or some other music database. Blu-Ray disks playback quality of picture is about the best I've seen. Superb! Haven't used it on 4K capable TV or projector but even standard 1080HD is great. Online content players are great quality picture and sound but lip synch occasionally poor. (That might be the online service rather than the player itself.Overall, brilliant player!

Purchased this item without much research because it was a Panasonic and worked in tandem with my Panasonic TV. The unit did not work "out-of-the-box" when trying to connect to the internet (which on this model is hard wired NOT wi-fi). I contacted Panasonic help line and was given instructions on how to re-set. (Why wasn't this included in the user guide.?). After re-setting the unit worked and has continued to work OK. Takes a while to read some DVD discs - but I think sometimes that is due to how discs are configured. Unit, annoyingly, turns right off if it senses no signal, then to retract a disc you have to go right through the turning on process.

This runs trhough an Onkyo amp to a Panasonic projector, works perfectly. Had, and still have a Panasonic complete Home Theatre system, but that is slightly dying - so wanted a box that did one thing, plays Blu/DVDs. The Onkyo deals with the sound which means if it goes wrong I haven't lost everything - much preferred. So what don't I like about it? Not much it is simple plays and that's all I ask. I don't want Apple/Android/etc. to me those are just things to go wrong - so this is nice. Not a luddite - my home has automation, but under MY control.

I compared this with several alternatives before buying this one and although others claimed to perform better, the results have been fantastic on this unit. The upscaling as been much better than I expected, although the load times are slow but this is expected when using BluRay discs. I only wish something else could be done about that. Plenty of connections, perhaps the location of the ports could be better but generally i cannot complain too much. It's a great player and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Having done a great deal of research & upgraded our soundbar in August to a more "musical" one reviews pointed me to this Panasonic for CD playing & it is excellent, very good sound quality, easy to set up & to use, compact, what more could someone who wants to hear & really listen to his music want? Final important point - it does not come with a TV/Soundbar connecting lead, I do believe Argos should be telling people before purchase ( & also they can get another tenner from the lead sale!)

Pros: 1. Simple to use, great picture,2. Sound seems good (but we're just using the TV sound).3. We wanted a basic Blu-ray player and it's connected to a smart TV so the less features the better really.4. Operating buttons on the case (saves time if the remote goes missing :-)Cons: 1. It has locked up a couple of times after leaving a DVD on pause for 10+ minutes. Nothing worked except switching it off at the mains. After a software update there have been no more problems.

This is a good DVD player with a couple of drawbacks. No WiFi connection just Ethernet. However if you want to check and upgrade the firmware you will need to hardwire to a LAN. It does not come region free on the DVD side but check ebay and you can buy a little signal box for around a fiver, Follow the instructions, point it at the DVD player and you can lock the DVD player to play all regions on DVD. There is no way of making the BluRay side also region free that I am aware of.

After owning a Panasonic Bluray player before I wasn't hesitant to buy another quality product. I loved how it is half the size of the old player, easy to install, you just plug the necessary cables in and off you go. The reason I've bought it is because of the 3D TV I have and the player doesn't disappoint, if you have a 3D bluray then this is the player for you, the quality is amazing. Also you can hook it up to the internet and enjoy extra features. Also it's a lot faster.

The player works fine and looks sleek as its a very small device. The only disappoint is that the description provided on the web site for the capability is incorrect. It leads you to think that you can connect this to your home network via wireless, this is not correct, the only set up the unit will allow is via the hard wired Ethernet port and hence you will need to run a cable to connect this to your router.

A very easy to set up Blu-ray Player with the added upscaling of picture quality. i bought this to replace an old Sony player which couldn;t play all my Blu-ray Discs. This new Player plays every Discs I put in it, For such a small Player, the quality of the Picture is superb. Only 1 gripe, There is no Wireless connection for Netflix etc... It has to be wired up to your Router to gain these additional services

A great little player. Bought it to replace a Sony player which was far too fiddly and over-complicated. Designers seem to think complicated is good while simple is dumb. It's just the other way round. Anyone can make things complicated but it takes skill to make things simple. One thing the Sony did that I don't think the Panasonic does is: it remembers where you left off on a previously played disc.

This is a very good BlueRay player, it works very well on all my old DVD collection and the sound is so much better than my last player. The aspect ratio when viewing old DVDs is not good there does not seem to be any way of getting it to change say to 4 - 3, 16 - 9 or any other format, with my old player this could be done using the TV setup but this player does to let you us this function any more.

Bought this because my son kept loaning me Blueray DVD's which obviously wouldn't play on my old player. Chose this one because of the price and I only needed a fairly basic player to work with my seven year old Panasonic LCD tv. Set was very simple and the operation of the player quick and easy. I also enjoy using the online functionality to view YouTube etc. which has proved to be very useful

Use this product with home theatre during winter months and on TV during summer. Sometimes used to entertain at parties and family gatherings. Used mainly for music DVD and Blu-Ray with surround sound system. I like the ease of use of this unit and it is so reliable never had any trouble with it since purchase. Neat and compact one of my best ever tech purchases would recommend it to anybody.

For a model of this price I was impressed. For me it's picture, picture, picture, not features. Bought for using with a projector, I have mounted it beneath, light as a feather, small and compact. I was using a games machine, but wanted something dedicated, and had 3D playback capability. Could not see a difference in picture quality against the games machine. A tad noisy, so 4 stars overall.
