Overall, have found this new player really good. It was very easy to set up and works easily and well. Previous player had started whirring quite noisily but this is super quiet, which I wanted. The picture quality seems great to my non-expert eyes, with blu-rays looking crystal clear and full of detail. Watched a dvd for the first time the other night and I think it suffers slightly from the picture capacity and upscaling efforts as it looked slightly grainy but it wasn't a problem and didn't distract from the film. I like the menu screen with options for additional inputs such as USB stick for music or photos but haven't utilised those options yet. There is a certain knack to the open/close button, which made me think it wasn't reacting properly at first. But I think I know how it works now. It's just a case of not holding it too long wondering why it isn't working as I don't believe it will react till you have let go of the button. If that makes sense. A very minor 'issue' in an otherwise great device. A similar very small niggle is that the remote is of a much cheaper feeling quality from my previous player (also Panasonic). This feels very much emblematic of cost cutting over the years as the previous player was over 10 years old. It is smaller and lighter (in a lower quality feeling way, rather than a positive way), and has more fiddly buttons as a result. It doesn't really impact my enjoyment of the player but I found it noteworthy when it arrived. All in all, though, I am very pleased and would happily recommend this product.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of unit (32cm wide) and pleased to note it was matt black which matches in with my Sky box. It was simplicity itself to set up using an HDMI cable. There are two HDMI ports on the unit but I only used one of them to connect to the TV although I understand you can connect both of them to reduce distortion (what distortion? Mine sounds ace!) It plays 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays, and supports multiple HDR formats but I was unable to test these features as I only have a Panasonic HD television. That said, the picture quality was superb and the sound was absolutely astounding, I have a Panasonic SpeakerBoard and watching a DVD on this little unit makes it sound like I have an expensive surround sound system!I played both John Wick DVDs on this machine and you could hear the marked improvement in quality between the DP-UB150EB-K and my old one. The upscaling feature is a nice addition as it improves the quality of ordinary DVDs to HD quality which means I can watch my older DVDs without complaining about the fuzzy picture. The remote control is basic but it doesn't need to be fancy, all the functions you need are there at the touch of a button This is an excellent DVD player in every way and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Programme.

I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Programme. On opening, I was pleased with the look of this neat, stylish player. It was simple to set up and I tested it with a selection of DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and 4K Blu-ray discs. Image quality was fantastic, particularly on Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray. I was also impressed with upscaling on DVD, which improved the viewing experience - so much so I'm looking forward to re-watching some of my old DVDs which will look brilliant on this new system. Sound quality was immaculate, even through the TV speakers. Even my 8 year old commented on the improvement compared to my older Blu-Ray player. It's a shame that it doesn't have wi-fi built in like my previous player. I can get wi-fi through my TV so not a deal breaker, but I understand that this means I'll have to carry out software updates via a memory stick which is more time consuming. Overall though, this is an excellent piece of kit for anyone wanting to upgrade their DVD and Blu-ray watching experience. Highly recommended.

For such a small box it is a very impressive piece of kit and it matches nicely with the Sky plus box. It is very easy to set up, simply plug in the power cable and an HDMI cable then follow the on screen instructions and you are good to go. Having tried 4K blu ray discs, normal blu ray discs as well as standard dvds I can honestly say that the picture quality and sound across all are really superb. We have also viewed photos that are on a pen drive and the quality of those is absolutely amazing. We were particularly amazed at the sound quality when playing Music dvds I also like the fact that there are no annoying lights to distract you when playing dvds, also you don't have to leave it in standby mode once you have removed the dvd. The remote control is simple to use albeit a little flimsy. The only drawback is that it's not WiFi enabled but it's not a show stopper as there is the facility for an Ethernet connection. I was given this product to test and review for Panasonic, I was very impressed with the compact size of the player and the weight. It was considerable smaller and weighed less than my existing BluRay player. It was extremely easy to set up with an HDMI cable on my LCD TV. There is also facility for Ethernet connection to WiFi router, The playback on a 4K Ultra HD DVD was of the highest picture and sound quality. It was significantly better picture than standard 4K with the picture sharp and contrast good. The upscaling from a standard DVD was also of high quality. I Would thoroughly recommend this product.

This product was given to me by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Program. A very compact unit but this magic small box gives such great quality and sound and sharpness of picture, it almost draws you into the film. My old DVD player, quality and sound has gone upmarket, should have made the change to Ultra Blu Ray sooner. The DP-UB150 can connect to the internet via your broadband router, which is another plus and is easy to setup. By having twin HDMI sockets it separates the distortion, giving good quality picture and sound. Playing, music sounds so different on this player.

The lack of a digital audio output for linking to my Home Theatre System is a disappointment and at time of writing still trying to resolve how to connect to that system with only output via HDMI. The absence of a front deisplay panel may not be to everyone's liking but, given the compact size and uncluttered look, I actually like the unobtrusiveness of that. Overall I think this is an excellent machine for my first foray in to playing 4K Blu-ray discs with crispest images I have seen with any video disc player, whether using $K, Blu-ray or DVDs.

Used with Panasonic OLED 4K TV . First used with old DVD disk then with Blue-ray disk`s upscaling picture quality is excellent .When used with a 4K DVD disk the picture and sound is out standing . A definite upgrade from my old Blue-ray player , I thought my old player was good but this DP-UB150EB is excellent . I am loving going through my old DVD`s and watching them again with a much better picture quality . Highly Recommended . I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic review programme The first impression was how small, light and compact the UB150 is. It was very easy to set up - power cable and HDMI Cable and it is up and running. The start-up response for Blu-ray and standard DVD's was very fast and the picture and sound quality was excellent. I have played some really old DVD's, including some old Pathe News converted film and they all played to a very high picture and sound quality.

The blu ray player is great! Whilst we have watched a couple of 4k/blu rays on it since purchasing, we have primarily watched my old DVD collection and the upscaling is impressive, with a noticeable difference on a large screen. I'm really glad I purchased it overall, and found it was a great price for the spec. The only slight negative for me is that the remote control isn't as sensitive as what I'm used to with the TV remote, but still works perfectly fine.

I was given this product as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme. Opened the box and was surprised at how light the product was. It was very simple to connect up once I got the HDMI and LAN cables bought. Once connected the easy set up came up and just followed the instructions . Updated firmware which was very easy. Picture and sound quality very good. If I had any criticism it would be that there is no WiFi to connect to the internet.

Excellent quality 4K player. Gives great picture quality & sound, especially if you have a good sound system. It's really easy to use, straight out of the box. I did have an issue with sound to start with, the discs were playing sound during trailers/adverts and on the menu but as soon as the film started there was no sound. With a quick Google the issue was a really simple fix.Highly recommended as it's not a huge cost for a 4K player.

Very good picture and upscaling, quick load time... Issues with getting the sound output on 4Ks correct so no sync problems (only an issue on the extras and actually an issue caused at source by the sound bar itself, but was a bit fiddly to work through the player settings to solve) Once it loaded the disc but kept the player menu on the screen, which was annoying.

Feels a bit flimsy, it’s quite light out of the box. The remote is very basic and not really many options available, but if you want something that won’t break the bank and does what it says on the tin then great otherwise if you’re looking for something with a few more bells and whistles on it I would definitely look elsewhere!
