This is my second Roku streaming stick, and I bought it because my new Smart TV for our new Utility / games room we're setting up doesn't support Plex, and I only need it for that as everything else I need is in the TV. As a test, I removed the old stick from the TV in the living room and plugged this one in. Since I did that it's now become a permanent fixture with the old TV and will never find it's way into the games room as it's very fast at what it does and is a massive improvement on the old streaming stick I bought a few years ago.The old streaming stick remote uses wifi to control the Roku, and I was a little hesitant and wondered if the infrared method used by this Roku Express wasn't going to be a pin in comparison.

I had the older version Roku stick which seemed sluggish in comparison to the new Fire Stick, but i prefer the layout of the Roku, so decided to take a chance on the Express. Initially I was concerned that the remote is infra red and not bluetooth, however this is no concern at all in actual use. The device is snappy to use with plenty of apps. (Although most will never used) The only app that the firestick has that the Roku doesn't which I miss is NJPW World. But then its highly unlikely that this will be a deal breaker for the vast majority of people reading this review.

Bought this to replace my chrome cast as my chrome cast broke for no real reason which was disappointing ! Glad I bought this as far better value for money and streams excellent with the bonus of everything else that comes included. Love it and recommend this.Remember before purchasing this device that you will need to add your PayPal or bank details to setup.Batteries included for Roku remote and an adhesive strip to fix the device so it doesn’t rattle around your television.Very good item and well worth the money. so I recommend this completely..

Easy to use and setup. You can use the usb port on the TV to power the device or use mains plug with the device. It's easy to setup with WiFi. You can watch Netflix, tvplayer, Amazon prime video, nowtv, and loads more things something for everyone. Some you may need to subscribe for a fee. The remote is easy to use. You also get sticky pads to fix the device to the TV. Mine is on top of TV. All cables and batteries are included. Worth the money would recommend this product.

So quick and easy, just plug in an Go basically time taken around 20-30mins. Tip: be sure you have PC, Tablet or Smartphone ready to verify and enter codes as requested. Once this is done and you've connected Roku to your device your good to go.I bought at very good price and now only pay for Netflix & Amazon Prime. No more expensive SKY and I didn't need to install a digital aerial so more money saved. Brilliant!

I have two of these units. They are very easy to install and simple to set-up. For the set-up all you need is to choose your modem and have the modem password. The menu for selecting and saving channels is no different than most TV's. All in All, the Roku is very good in all respects, and at around £25 to £29 is great value for money.

This is one of the few sticks I have found that offers Prime, NowTV, Netflix, Deezer, and Plex! Although I am unsure if I can run plex alongside Roon, but that is my issue. The NowTV devices that offer voice control only work with the NowTV platform, even though they offer Netflix, that was a let down.

Easy to setup and just what I was looking for.I also like that there's a physical remote control, so your not tied controlling the device using a smart device.No credit card information is needed, if you create your Roku account using a different device (laptop, phone etc...)

I bought for a friend that has an old Plasma TV. This fit the bill very nicely. Streams easily after the simple setup. The only downside is the last stage to activate online which requires a payment method (card to be added/Pay Pal etc) in case of future rental/purchases.

Brilliant device to get internet based TV if not already built into a set. The remote is slick and positive with some stations such as Netflix with its own button. Great Hi Res interface with cool screen saver. Liked it so much I have since bought another.

Buying films off both platforms Roku let's me stream from both service unlike the Google or Amazon devices. Other big thing is you can connect head phones to your phone and hear the TV with out the rest of the house hearing what your watching on your TV.

Ultimately it's worth the effort. The box itself is easy to install but took me 40 mins to sort the apps out. Love it but not quick.Then does take ages to navigate the apps. Again this is not the box itself but the generally poor quality of the apps.

Love this little box of tricks, it has all the main services available, Netflix, Prime Video, Now TV etc, only main exception is Apple which I believe is due to come to it later in the year.For the price e you really can't fault this little streamer.

I bought it when my aerial connection stopped working. It provides catchup TV (BBC, ITV, 4) but not live TV, and some free TV channels with adverts that I probably won't use. You can pay to subscribe to the usual providers. It works well for MUBI.

Really impressed with the Roku Express. We have a Samsung "smart" curved T V which is not compatible with Adobe Flash Player, so I cannot get ITV hub, UKTV etc. With Roku Express I can now watch all on line content. Easy to use, brilliant!
