When I first got the lamp I was pleased with it and it looked great on my desk. It didn't though come with a bulb and that seemed daft for an online purchase. But the real issue was that, after about a year, the fitting which holds the bulb in place became very discoloured and the lamp stopped working. So I'm guessing it overheated and burned out, but either way that was the end of desk lamp.
