I bought this because I bought a new tv and moved my wifi to my living room instead of my bedroom. So I needed a range extender for the back bedrooms because for some odd reason, the bedrooms are total dead zones. We have a 1 story, 4 bedroom home. Anyways, set up is a little bit tricky at first especially trying to find the perfect spot to place the extender. For my 1600 square foot home, I placed it right in the middle of the entrance to our hallway that leads to the bedrooms. I tried setting it up with the same wifi as my main router but for some reason no wifi's in the house would connect to the extender. They would remain with the living room router which is a dead zone weak 1 bar signal to our bedrooms.

I used the WPS buttons on the extender and my router (RAX120) to get it connected. Once connected, I inserted an Ethernet cable from a computer and logged in. Upon logging in, I was prompted to update the firmware. I did that and it went smoothly. Then, I looked at the default settings. The extender had taken on my routers SSID and password. Sweet. One SSID means one contiguous network. Then I took the extender directly into my dead space and plugged it in. To my amazement, it had a full strength signal. Wow. Mission accomplished! I surveyed signal strength and download speed throughout the house. The signals were strong and the speeds were all good. The only caveat I could find is one of my devices (an Android)

The NETGEAR AC1900 Mesh WiFi Extender (EX7000) has solved a huge problem for me. Concrete walls. The extender has changed the functionality of wifi in my loft completely. What used to be impossible to predict levels of connectivity has now become reliable and high performance wifi signal throughout the entire 2,000 sqft space. No more dropped calls, no more searching for the sweet spot and fast internet speeds. Streaming movies is now a pleasure instead of a walk on eggshells wondering when the buffering will start (and then when it will end) all thanks to this extremely exceptional extender. Not a single negative thing to say about it. Easy to set up and security features which meet all of my needs.

I usually do no rave about electronic equipment, yet in this case, the tether of one room wifi coverage is cut! The AC1900 has opened up a previous data bottleneck with about 10 devices struggling for wifi, and now I am smooth sailing while enjoying the on demand access of fast, seamless wireless range extension provided by the AC1900 extender. So robust is the signal in fact, that I pulled up to the post office box, around the corner from the apartment, and lo-behold, signal strength 2 bars and running at 20mps in comparison to standalone router which covered only the house and dropped off outside. I have a very long house and have made numerous attempts to get good wifi signal throughout the house. I had a wire running across my kitchen floor for years to a secondary router to boost signal...I've used numerous extenders and had limited success. I had a little trouble getting this to get both the 2.4 and 5Ghz wifi signals so I had to do it manually, but once I got them both I put the router in the kitchen and was able to walk to the furthest end of the house and close the door and still get 5 bars on my phone. Yay! So far so good. I am going to try moving it into another room where it will blend in better with the surroundings to see if it works as well, if not,

Had a ex6200/Ac1200 for several years and wanted to upgrade .So I Looked at several models from several brands I ended up back to netgear and choose the Ex7000/AC1900 and I can say that the extender was very easy to set up and get running less than 5 minutes and coverage is unmatched . I use the 2.4 GHz to connect it to my wi fi router and the extender to send out only 5 GHz . (Beamforming) I think that's what it is called .and I have phone ,tv, dvdplayer ,streaming box ,laptop,and ,sound bar connected with NO BUFFERING, and no dead spots or dropped connections ....also have desktop pc and security cameras, printer ,hooked up to the ports on it ....so yeah it gets 5 stars ...

My WiFi unit is in the basement, I had to look for a good spot for a decent signal in the house especially on the second floor. When I hooked up the A C 1900 WiFi extender it was like night and day. The whole house has has a 5 bar signal. What a difference, it even gives me a great signal outside. It took about 15 minutes to get it up and running. Very straight forward instructions easy to understand. The Web site is great for set up assistants and technical advice. I would recommend the A C 1900 to anyone who has dead spots or a weak signal in their house. This item will solve all you problems with dead spots or a weak signal with ease.

I've had this awhile to extend my Netgear R8000 router - and I also recently added EX8000 extender which is worth the extra money. I have big house and this combo covers all areas. My only gripe is the EX7000 cannot be managed using the Nighthawk app along with the router and other extender. The EX7000 is supposedly a mesh extender and part of the "Nighthawk" line so I don't get why it can only be accessed thru a website. This is a big inconvenience and it's not obvious when shopping for an extender. I bought the EX7000 extender in 2017 thinking it would match my router so I could manage both in the app - but not so.

I love Netgear equipment so when we needed to increase signal strength for our upstairs wireless needs there was no question what brand of extender we would buy. The Nighthawk increased our signal so that streaming from the movie sites became fun again. Before adding this we had buffering and pixeling now the movies load and we get to watch without getting mad. The upstairs computer now has better speed thanks to the increased wireless signal. Netgear is so user friendly when it comes to installation and customer service if you ever have to call is not aggrevating, I've never had long hold times

I needed a new router and had heard about the netgear nighthawks. I thought they were for gamers (like my son). After a quick search settled on the AC1900. What a device. It tells me everything hooked to it and auto assigns what data usage for each device if you want. It was incredibly easy for me to hook up and install (and I am not a techy by any stretch). I can check the status of everything with my phone. I had to call in for tech support to install an extender for the far reaches of the house and received quick answers and step by step help. Great router and great customer service.

I got the NETGEAR EX7000 range extender to be used as an access point in my house. I went from having limited to no connectivity upstairs in my house, to having full bars constantly and the ability to use WIFI in my backyard. The instructions online and inside the box were easy to follow, and covered different installation options. The 3 antennas on the back really help to better focus the direction of the WIFI broadcast as well.I like how there are additional ethernet ports on the back of the extender, allowing you to hard wire a few devices that are near the extender.

I was looking to upgrade my WiFi extender (I had one that was 5 y.o. and only extended my 2.4Ghz signal) and found this nighthawk. It made sense to get it since it extends not only 2.4 but also 5Ghz signal as well. I placed it in same spot as old one was and the signal it receives from my netgear modem/router is excellent. One BIG thing to know, create account for netgear online and update the new WiFi extender’s firmware and it will work perfectly. I love it. Now I even have amazing WiFi speeds in my art studio which is a building 20yards behind the house.

I am a full-time RV traveler and use WiFi at RV Parks all the time. Most RV Parks have WiFi which sometimes isn't all that great. We use the Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi Range Extender (EX7000) to extend and boost up the WiFi signal in the RV Parks we use. This Range Extender makes a major different in our WiFi use. Now we can have a strong signal almost all the time where ever we go. We can watch Netflix and do all the other things we need WiFi for. I highly recommend this Nighthawk Range Extender for everyone.

I installed this extender after purchasing a new Netgear nighthawk router. I am happy with the range and speeds that I am getting from it but am disappointed that there was no way to set it up withing the nighthawk app like the router. The web ui is easy enough to use but being able to do it in the app would be way easier and also allow ease for any future changes I might have to do. Overall I would suggest it but if they apped app support on this "mesh" system that would be better

A couple peices of my entertainment system did not have wi-fi so I purchased the AC1900 to give them access. What I discovered that all my entertainment system peices that connected to the wi-fi performed 10 tiems better using the AC1900 instead of their native wi-fi.I highly recomend this product, it has surpassed my expectations and I love its ease of use and setup.As a 25+ year IT engineer, I can tell you that this was a rock solid purchase I'd do again in a heart beat.
