The router worked fine. My issue is that the box I picked up had previously been opened and had a sticker saying ‘quality checked’. Clearly not fully checked because the cable that plugs into the router and the phone splitter was missing. Fortunately I checked before leaving the shop car park and was able to immediately return the item. I got a replacement which was shrink-wrapped ... so there was a difference!Beware if your item has a red sticker. these cables are obvs very sought after

This modem was easy to set up from a web page on laptop and can cope with both ordinary and fiber broadband. It also has the ability to switch on and off WiFi to specific devices to keep the little kids screen time controlled without arguments... Its decently fast without being the best and the WiFi reach through the house is ok. A good back up router and good for smaller homes. Finally if broadband breaks down this modem can also take a USB 3g/4g dongle and turn that into WiFi for the house!

Was fed up with the useless super router talktalk sent me as it was always losing connection. . Was told about this router by a friend so decided to buy it as it was a good price and all reviews were good.Simple to set up and now at last I have a very strong internet connection and super fast download speeds.Have got 2 lap tops, my iPad, 3 mobile phones, my smart tv, a PS4 and a Xbox one , a desktop and my sons tablet all connected wirelessly to this router and we can all use the internet

Not the fastest, but for FTC (fibre to cabinet) connections you don't need faster. If you have internet above 100Mbps, get one with gigabit LAN ports and AC wireless.Easy to set up. For most users it's simply plug it in, connect with the default Wi-Fi password, and go!For techies there's basic networking like DHCP, MAC filtering, port forwarding, and VPN.Seems stable, not needed a reboot in the month I've had it.I don't use the Wi-Fi so can't comment on the range or signal quality.

I was upgrading my internet connection from ADSL to VDSL 2 (or fibre as most internet providers call it) so needed a new modem.Once I'd worked out that I hadn't connected the ethernet cable it was simple to set up, with a dialogue guiding me through the installation with it recognising my internet provider and saving me from having to configure some of the more complicated settings. Anyone reasonably tech savvy and with access to Google shouldn't have any problems setting it up.

Firstly - do NOT plug it into a power saving or surge protecting extension. This caused us disconnects, simply overcome by plugging it directly into a wall socket. This replaced our Plusnet router, which didn’t reach the upstairs bedrooms. It has solved that without range extenders or other accessories. We also no longer get the periods of hanging that we used to.It was pretty much “ plug and play” with auto-setup simple, but as always it does help to be technically minded.

I bought this because my old router was out of date and there was no firmware updates available for it anymore. This one has recent updates on the website which you can download then upload to the router through it's built in configuration page. This is important because hackers are targeting vulnerabilities in router firmware now. Apart from having up to date software the router has plenty of settings you can tweak ,or just use the quick setup page if you don't know much about them.

I bought this to replace a TalkTalk router which had become very unreliable due to frequent disconnections, slow web page opening, freezing and buffering of Youtube videos etcetera. I have been using this TP-Link router for 2 weeks now and am very pleased with its performance and reliability. It was very easy to set up by following the instruction leaflet and the on-screen instructions. I haven't got any criticisms, it is a great relief to have a reliable broadband connection again.

This is an excellent product, a little difficult to set up, but not so bad if you follow the instructions properly. You have to go online to do it. I was having terrible trouble with my TalkTalk router. My speed increased from 4 to 11 after installing this router. Previously my broadband kept dropping out, now it is perfect and I am very pleased with it. I would certainly recommend this product. It's a strange looking thing from outer space, but does the job exceptionally well.

Bought this modem-router to replace another manufacturer's model which was losing internet connection occasionally and required re-booting. So far the TP-Link has worked well without any problems but only had it for about 2 weeks so will have to wait to check reliability. Currently using ADSL but modem has the option for VDSL if I decide to upgrade to fibre in the future. Easy to set up and download speed is slightly higher than it was with previous unit. Very good value.

This modem is better than my previous one. It was a bit awkward setting it up, but that may be because I have just changed broadband provider, so was setting it up before my provider modem arrived. Once set up, I then easily connected a set of Deco M4 mesh units to it. As a result, the wireless is the best we have ever experienced and we no longer have to use ethernet connection anywhere in the house. All in all, I am very happy ith this product and would recommend it.

As expected from TP-Link, initial setup was a doddle consisting of not very much more than entering my broadband username and password. The setup sheet is helpful, plus there are plenty of internet links available showing you how to set your modem/router & WiFi up if you need them but it's not difficult. It can't be - I did it.So far then I'm very pleased with it because it does just what I want it to do. All it needs to do is carry on trouble-free for years to come.

Very good simple router, lots of configuration options which can appear daunting to those less familiar with setting up networks. However the Wizard is very good and easy to follow and get you up and running quickly. Excellent WiFi range on the device, only downside is that when new routers are WiFi 6 and most ISP routers utilize the 5Ghz range this model is out dated. I would of prefered at least 5Ghz network rather than setting multiple 2.4Ghz SSIDs.

When I first set this router up I thought it was great if a little odd in some of the configuration, but I had to return mine in a couple of days as the device disappeared from my network completely and couldn't be found by any smart device. Also some of the settings seemed to reset on Thier own. I had to return it after two days. I don't know if this was just mine or a common issue, I think if it had worked it would have been a really nice router.

My old D-Link router died on me suddenly. I went to Argos after a bad experience in PC World, where I was told I couldn't get a router with the old, small RJ11 socket ADSL input as all manufacturers had moved over to using standard RJ45 connections. I walked out and went into Argos, where I found exactly what I was after and at a good price too.Once home, I found it very easy to set up. It's been running for several weeks now, with no problems.
