Been mulling over picking these up for a while to go above my "gaming station" to mix things up and also add some shapes and "Art" of sorts. In a nutshell and TL:DR, this is a great looking kit for most places in the home, it is slightly pricey and is functionally useless, but is interesting and looks great. Downside is the adhesive is horrible, would pick up some other stuff.*Packaging and Construction*The item arrived as normal with prime delivery, AKA next day. The item itself is actually pretty heavy, surprisingly so. This 15 panel kit is boxed in two brown box's then covered by a sleeve with all the marketing nomenclature on it.Inside the pair of box's your get the 15 nanoleaf panels, for this kit the rhythm module, small control module which connects into the primary panel for power, the power brick, a pair of power cables (one terminating in a UK plug, the other a EU plug), manuals and a bunch of sticky pads. The small control panel which plugs into a Nanoleaf panel has a few buttons on it, namely power and cycle, can also be used to reset in event of any issues. Said control unit has a cable of about 1.5m attached to it at which point there is a break and then there is another cable into which it plugs into which leads to the transformer. There is then a third cable which goes from transformer into the wall. Suffice to say, there is plenty of length here at play.*setting up*Getting set up is fairly straight forward(ish). The box comes with some templates which you can use to try and map out the pattern your after. Similarly you can wing it using the sticky pads in the box's. Now this is a Pro and Con. The Pro is that the adhesive is relatively poor so you can easily re position the lights and do not take any pain off the wall's. Now this is also a bad thing! After a few Hours panels were falling off and putting them back on again, same thing happens with half the panels falling off in the night. Suffice to say, I ended up using some other sticky pads, specifically these ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sellotape-Permanent-Double-Sided-Sticky/dp/B004OHT7LS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1543223089&sr=8-6&keywords=Sticky+pads and now I have no issues. On the downside, these are very strong and can pull paint off if I want to move around the design. Therefore I suggest getting some stronger pads, but mapping out the design your after with the sticky pads in the box then replacing with the stronger stuff you pick up.Anyways, once the unit is up and powered, you download the nanoleaf app which is the primary form of controlling the device. There are multiple other apps you can use to control the device as part of a smart home like Amazon Alexia, Apple home etc, but the Nanoleaf app has deeper options. I would also recommend you update the panel if you plan to mess around with more profiles but this is easily done.*Use*So once your running and app downloaded, away you go. To put simply, the use is really to have pretty lights in unique shapes. Update the panels with the latest firmwhere and you can visit the nanoleaf profiles made by the community above those already on the app to go through loads! There are some great designs and patterns out there. Similarly with the nanoleaf app you can create your own. Options are plentiful here, with speed, direction, randomness, colours etc all being various parameters you can mess with. You can also set the item to Rhythm with this kit so if there is any music playing, you get reactive lighting which looks great! Needless to say the options are plentiful and solid with this kit.Color wise there are millions of course as you get varying hues and shades. Brightness wise, these can get extremely bright, for that reason I keep these on about 50% as otherwise they are very bright. The light itself comes from the 3 corners of each triangle, however the light is diffused really well among the whole panel its not noticeable as being edge lit.*Overall*Overall this is effectively just a piece of light wall art at a price. However it can be personalised into any shape you want, colours can be customised massively, patterns and designs and so on. It really does add to a room I think and adds a interesting element. It looks great in all types of rooms to be honest from gaming room's aside battle stations to living rooms with more subtle colours. With integration with the larger home stuff, it can be commanded by those which is neat. As I said, downside really is the adhesive so advise you pick up some better stuff.

I think these lights look great, they are probably expensive for what you get but they don't really have good competition so that is reflected in the price. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is all the problems I had getting it working. I don't think I was the problem, I have a lot of smart home equipment over 30 devices on wifi without issue. I have a computer science degree, am a qualified network engineer and currently work as a software developer. Even given all this I found getting these lights working properly a nightmare. When I first tried to pair the lights it's would just timeout waiting for them to join the network. Eventually after it acting like the pairing had failed they would show up again,up to 10 minute later and sometimes I would then enter the pairing code and they would pair to my phone other times for no apparent reason it would fail and I would have to reset them and try again. One paired they would only show up around half the time as reachable in the app. I tried changing my WiFi setting as surgested and still no luck, so I changed back.Eventually after many emails with support they agreed to send me a new control unit. This had the same pairing issue and once paired would instantly become unreachable. After a few resets I thought I would try not restoring the backup even though I had not been told this should be a problem. Turned out it was a problem and without a restore they remained reachable. However they kept dropping off after a while. After changing several setting under the advanced settings of my wifi I managed to get them stable. They still take a while to become reachable once opening the app but appear stable. I did think the wifi settings I tweaked could have been the problem all along so I did try the original unit again but that continued to become unreachable. So in summary.Thier pairing always errors on my phone even when it 'works'The first unit I sent was faultyThey did not warn me that restoring the backup could be a problem when getting second unitI had to change multiple wifi settings to get it to work despite none of the other 30 devices on my WiFi having issues.Even with it now working it's sometimes slow to show reachable under the app.Another thing regarding the software is the best pc apps are made by third party developers. The official beta app does have screen mirroring that works well.I find it amazing that a company selling something priced this high has such bad QA and such poor software.

At home I have Philips Hue coloured lights everywhere, along with the complete smart home set up. I've known about the Nanoleaf products for a while and it's something I've wanted to add to the living room. I took the plunge and bought the 15 panel starter kit. When they arrived it took about an hour to decide how I wanted them to go on my wall and setup was very easy. I had a little trouble linking them to my Google smart speakers but it did connect after a while. The lights are beautiful, I used the app to find my favourite sequences which was straight forward. The Nanoleaf panels compliment my other lights and it makes such a great ambience.I also have the rhythm adapter which works great when playing music. Some people have complained about the sticky tac strips that come with the kit not being very good at keeping the panels on the wall, I've had no such problem. The tacs work very well and keeps everything in place. From doing some research, it seems to be the kind of surface you stick the tacs to. I just have an emulsion painted, smooth wall which I think these tacs were designed for. If you want to use the panels on a more rugged surface like brickwork etc, you might want to look at something a bit stronger.Nanoleaf tiles are expensive and only those who are really into the smart home setup will consider purchasing them. I'm a geek when it comes to this stuff so I had to get them, I love the wow factor when other people see them too. If you do buy them, you won't regret it! They are worth every penny despite the price.

I have been watching Nanoleaf as a product for a good 6 years now and have seen how the company has grown and improved the product. I finally bit the bullet and bought the 15 rhythm pack. I was initially worried that the command strips that stick the panel to the wall were way too flimsy and small after seeing a few reviews but after putting the first up with a good push of each corner, the panels were going nowhere. Adding a panel onto another, and then another to another was seamless. It took me about 20 seconds per grabbing a panel to secure it to the wall. Incredibly easy and as long as your first panel is level, all others will be perfect too.The above picture shows my design and it took around 15/20 minutes to get up on the wall all together (as well as adding 3 strips to each panel). The app works brilliantly, the fact that Nanoleaf has added the ability for people to publish their colour designs and people having the ability to download and use them instantly is great. There is also a Windows app for Nanoleaf which works well but is slightly less intuitive than the mobile app.Overall, I definitely feel I should have gotten them sooner but absolutely no regrets on my end, I love them! And none have fallen down yet, touch wood! I feel that this will be a little like a tattoo, once you've had one done, you want more and more. I will definitely be grabbing another 9 to add onto the design at some point!

These lights really add atmosphere in your home, especially above computer monitors and TVs. They react to sound and flash accordingly. The app is easy to use and you can download different animations like autumn leaves, fireplace, green leaves, arctic etc.Sometimes when I look up, it’s like a stained glass window beaming through with daylight. The only problem is the cost, they’re really expensive for what they are, however they do trump the cheaper competitors and really do achieve total ambience. They’re ridiculously easy to fit and you can create any pattern you like. You can be quite inventive and there’s no need to worry about them dropping off the wall. The best thing is that they work with my Alexa and Google Nest Hub,complimenting my Philips Hue lights. In some ways, the Nanoleaf are better.I highly recommend these lights to compliment any home setup. There’s a certain retro Star Trek and Buck Rogers look to them that’s both unique and vintage SciFi.You needn’t worry about the brightness, these Nanoleaf lights are bright and colourful, so much so, that I’ve had to reduce them to 30%. Absolutely brilliant.I’m dropping one star because of the expensive price.I simply can’t imagine my life without them.

One of the best lighting products I have ever seen..... Let down by a connection method that is the hardest most frustrating, awkward and stupid connection methods ever seen in the 21st century. What an absolute shame. I have now tried 3 different sets ( my mum's and my mates and mine) and all have the same issues on multiple networks. I know people that just turn them on and leave them on random because the connection method is such a pig. Whoever invented these needs a big pat on the back and whoever decided on a connection method this hard needs putting in Guantanamo bay!!! Imagine just leaving them on random and being happy and not even realising their full potential and being happy proves what a hit the product could be if the app would connect and work.Sort it out nanoleaf it's really letting you down :-(

These lights are amazing!! Expensive yes but certainly worth the investment, they give off great light if you want them to light up a room but can quickly be changed to different colours and brightness levels. There are hundreds of scenes available on the app or you can design your own. The sound module adds a whole new level to these lights and turns them into the perfect party lights while pulse to the music.Visitors to our house are always commenting on how great these lights are and honestly I wish I was on sales commission as quite a few friends and even a tradesman have left here and gone and purchased some.

These are amazing and look stunning on the wall.Couple of points..I would recommend a stronger sticky tape to keep them on the wall.Ensure you know EXACTLY where you want them before putting on the wall too.Additionally these connect to the 2.4ghz part of your wifi. You need to check you have dual band wifi before buying.Just check your 192..etc admin page and do read up.Once up, easy enough to connect to wifi and there are so many different scenes to choose from, and the ability to make your own design/scene too.

I’ve always been a fan of Nanoleaf and wanted to expand my current collection, however it took 3 packs of 15 to finally get there. The previous 2 packs were full of these pigments which look horrendous (pics don’t really do it justice) but I can honestly say once my final pack was delivered and tested I’m so happy with the result! The colours and themes are endless and it really makes your room come alive. Both Amazon & Nanoleaf customer services are faultless 10/10

Reluctantly purchased these for my son at Christmas as this was all he had asked for but I thought they were very expensive. We had them on the flat surface for a few weeks until we decided on the shape. Thought they were ok but it was not until you put them on the wall when you realise just how affective they are....almost worth the money lol.

Really really cool lights. They are so unique, everybody who sees them are amazed. I think they could be cheaper but I’m extremely happy with them. They are very bright and the rhythm module picks up on sound straight away.

Absolutely love this item! I regularly have this on daily timers for getting home. It’s brilliant with my music set up and just looks fantastic! Had sooo many people commenting on it and saying they want to get one. ??

The headphones have very good sound quality, the price is reasonable, the wires are not long or short, and the size is right. The sound is richer and more comfortable than the other earplugs I have tried.
