Don't let the price put you off when considering purchasing this product because the quality of the product and the sound from the guitar is actually really good. Some things to mention when you first buy this product:* It will sound terrible for the first full hour or two of playing as the strings need to wear in* It will also go out of tune very easily at first but it will hold the tune better the more you bed the strings in.Good buy and highly recommend for beginners and pros

Its definately not the best guitar in the world, but it does what it is intended for and that is to give a taster for playing guitar, my 3.5 year old loves to pull on the strings and copy Dad. It does not sound bad though. If you have never tuned a guitar before, buy an electronic tuner, it takes time, adust each string several times as you tighten the next string the previous string will go out of tune, so be patient, follow tutorials and have fun with your little one.

This is the perfect little guitar when you're not sure if your lad or lass is going to take to playing. Don't go spending a lot on their first guitar when all they need to learn is where to put their fingers and the names of the strings. Eddie Ate Dynamite Good Bye Eddie works perfectly well on this guitar and at this price...what's not to like? Mine holds its tune well enough and makes a nice enough sound and I don't cringe when he bangs it on the door frame. No brainer.

Bought this for my 7 year old who wants to learn guitar. Very good for the money and it’s got him started with his learning. It’s never going to set the world on fire for this price but for a cheap nylon strung guitar it’s not too bad at all. He’s had 10 lessons with it now and we are looking to upgrade to a better quality steel strung guitar but this has more than served its purpose and will be kept as a spare. Well worth the money and certainly do not regret buying it.

As it is a junior guitar, it is the ideal size for my granddaughters who are 7&9 to play with... The guitar doesn’t look cheap, it comes with a spare string and Argos stock the strings if they snap or you want more spares. It comes boxed and in a bag that you can store it in, but bag is easily torn... As it doesn’t come with a case, you might (if wanted) need to purchase a guitar case, which Argos also stock... If the guitar gets broken, it’s cheap enough to replace.

As a musician, i bought this as a cheap "use it and put it down" guitar, i didn't have enough money for full size. The strings take a while to adjust to the tension while setting up because its new...all new guitars are like this. but now i have it tuned, i love it. the sound is quiet enough so my flatmates are happy with the silence, but it still has a lovely classical timbre, the size makes some of the chords difficult to play, but I enjoy playing it.

When we first bought this we chose it for it's size and price and we prefered it to the the blue or pink alternatives. When we unwrapped it we were stunned at how nice it looked. It's 80% a lovely rich red. Only the front face is pine colour. My son prefers the three thicker / deeper strings. The higher strings don't sound so good. Maybe it needs tuning properly? He enjoys plinking away on it though! Hours of fun!

My 7 year old son has wanted a guitar for ages but I didnt want to spend loads of money on one and then him get bored, as kids do. I have no clue about guitars but my friend tuned it all in and said he was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality. My son loves it and has not put it down!! Its the perfect size for him and there is also an app that you can download to help you tune it in, it's called GuitarTuna.

I got this guitar as my young disabled son is obsessed with my acoustic guitar, and to prevent him damaging mine I got him this. He loves it but owing to his disability he is unable to actually play anything on it and just likes the noises he makes with the strings. Just as well really as I have found it impossible to tune. Not unhappy with the product though as it does exactly what I purchased it for.

We purchased this as a gift for our four year old grandson, who loves to play like grandad. Well, he was thrilled to bits with his own proper guitar. It's an exact replica of grandads and, once tuned, it sounds really good. Even his daddy is thinking of learning how to play now. Really good purchase for a child to learn a musical instrument. Great price and great quality too. Well done Argos.

I purchased this guitar for my 4 year old niece as a late Christmas gift and she loved it! Great quality instrument, actually plays well. It is a lot larger then expected; she can just about hold it but that OK because it's something she can grow with while she slowly learns how to play... but until then I'm happy to hear her version of Let it go and any other song she makes up! :)

This was bought for my 3yr old grandaughter has her brothers have guitars themselves.Bought a paw patrol kids guitar which was returned for being to small this is a decent size maybe a little bit too big but she will be 4yrs old just after christmas and can manage it . Ideally would say around 4 to 5yrs upwards and your child can get years out of it .Great value for money.

My son loves his guitar. He hasn't started using it properly but just lies it on the floor and starts strumming it. Will be great once he starts having lessons. Comes with a few picks and a spare string. It doesn't come tuned, so I will need to do that but it looks nice and it seems very robust. This was the best price I found compared to anything similar in other shops.

My nephew opened it for his birthday and the back of the guitar was scratched, but as it was opened the store told my sister she could not return this item. I am currently travelling in New Zealand and ordered the gift online, so i am frustrated that he could not return it. Other than this, the guitar is lovely. be better if it had a strap with it for ease of playing.
