I was looking for a carrying case for my 15" laptop, accessories (cables, power brick, mouse etc) that I could also fit a cooling fan tray/pad, plus a Wacom tablet into as well. I looked all over for a case or bag and dismissed the idea of a backpack for some reason.I am glad that I chose this item. It is lightweight, strong and has lots of room. The backpack has a separate padded compartment for the laptop, with velcro and elastic strap for fastening. There is room for all the extras that I need, plus the backpack has shoulder straps that although are NOT removable as the description suggests, can be zipped out of the way when not in use as a backpack.
