I do like a proper keyboard! I use this for work instead of the keyboard on my laptop- it's nice to be able to position my laptop to the right eye level and still type on a flat keyboard (wish I had realised this as a university student- would have saved a lot of neck/back pain). This keyboard works brilliantly, and the wire is long enough to wrap round to either side of your laptop/down the side of your PC.I actually prefer wired to wireless- don't have to worry about needing new batteries, losing the little USB sensor, or forgetting to turn it off! It's nice to have the number pad on the right as well- some standalone keyboards don't bother including it but it makes a big difference whendoing serious amounts of numerical input.

After reading a few of the lower rated reviews, I find myself pleasantly surprised with this product - especially given the price. I find the key action clean and precise and remarkably quiet without sacrificing on the precision of the keystrokes. The nubs on the 2 home keys are prominent which helps re-orientation when touch-typing. It's a bog-standard key layout... which is a good thing - no fancy deviations from the standard which then trips you up when you use your autonomic key combinations (like CTRL-INS). In short, I'd recommend if you need a functional and clean keyboard at a decent price - happy with my purchase.

I brought this because I don't want to just waste money on a stupidly priced mechanical keyboard (which by the way, is just a preference thing. There is no such thing as a "good mechanical gaming keyboard". They all do the same thing, but the click or amount of pressure to press the key down is down to preference).I like this keyboard. It's good and does what it needs to do.Positive = cheap & good for what it needs to do.Negatives:I prefer the standard Dell keyboard because the buttons are harder to press. These keys are pretty soft to press & I prefer a slightly tougher keyboard.

Following the purchase of a cheap, unbranded keyboard with 'soft touch' keys that proved hard to manage, this was a very pleasant replacement.Although the keyboard is larger and less slimline than other keyboards on the market, which is what you would probably expect of a basic Microsoft keyboard (exactly the reason for a 4 star rather than a 5 star review), this is a great product at a great price. This keyboard is perfect for the fast typist, due to its high responsiveness.Would definitely purchase again.

The product arrived within the expected, which is a great aspect. The keys are soft but a bit noisy, still nothing that would stop me from giving it a 5 stars review. It does not disconnect, as mentioned by others, maybe I was lucky. The num lock led keeps turning off after about 5 sec of not using the keyboard, which kind of annoys me a little, but there’s no delay when using the numeric keypad or any other key while it’s off. I would recommend this product if you’re looking for a cheap (yet very good) option.

A standard keyboard. Great for the price you pay. If your looking for top quality then reach deeper into your pockets and look for another one. If your looking for a budget buy that does the job you need it to do, then this is what you want. No problems so far. Some people complained about the keys being a bit plastic and slightly cheap. Doesn't really bother me, After all I didn't pay much for it. I'm using this for my third computer which I don't use much. overall good cheap buy.

Great keyboard - however it was powering off after inactivity of around 10 seconds. You would have to press a key to 'wake it up'. I spent about 2 hours trying to resolve this. The solution is ... In device manager, turn off the 'power saving mode'. There is a checkbox which when checked stops it going to sleep. If the checkbox is greyed out, you can find the setting in the registry (search for: windows 8 device manager regedit power save settings) to enable the box.

I could complain that this keyboard feels gritty, but that would be very unfair as this could be due to the fact that I didn't cover it when the new sockets were being fitted and holes drilled. No, it works fine. I am actually replacing a wireless keyboard that started playing the giddy goat, too many 2.4g devices in the room I guess. If only they made keyboards the same size as old manual typewriters, my fingers were not made for these little things:)

I brought this to replace a curved keyboard which was almost impossible to use to type with.Needless to say, this keyboard is much better and good quality.I can now type much faster as the keys are in the correct position for my wrists and I can type without looking at the keyboard.Plugged into my windows 10 pc and drivers automatically installed and it just works.Great buy, especially if you have a curved keyboard that you are struggling with.

Does the job. Key sound and feeling is not great, but as expected at this price point. Some reviewers have complained that it is poor quality as it switches itself off ("randomly" as one post put it) after a certain time, but this is a Windows feature and can be disabled (see this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/590b6991-3bc2-4225-afb5-5509e4eb9088/microsoft-keyboard-turns-off-by-itself?forum=w8itprogeneral).

Bought this for my Surface Pro 3 and found it kept turning on and off on Windows 8.1. I needed to go to Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Click Devices and Printers > Right click USB Keyboard > Advanced > Hardware > USB Input Device > Properties > Change Settings > Power Management > Untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".Probably don't buy this keyboard if you have a surface pro 3 and windows 8.1

Very satisfactory, not perfect. Apple compatible although it didn't say so on the blurb. Very modest price for a big-name product.Bought to replace an Apple keyboard which had a few keys had died. Some keys on the Microsoft keyboard are located differently but the outcome is that keys produce what Apple would expect rather than what shows on the keys.Sometimes misses a double letter if the key is pressed too quickly.

Buying a trusted brand is always something worth doing when the extra cost is so small. The keyboard works great and feels sturdy and well made when sat on the table. It is the second one I've bought as the first came to a watery end after spilling a cup of coffee onto it. Yes a full cup so there was no bringing it back to life. I certainly recommend the keyboard if you want one that doesn't feel cheap. Recommended

By now, you should know that I like my products to be funny, and this one tries hard to be funny. However, while this could be considered its biggest strength, it could arguably be thought of as its biggest weakness. It almost tries too hard to be funny, this works for a while, but it's 'shtick' gets old fast. Overall, I liked its material, I just wish it did not run out of steam so quickly. Instant 4 stars.

I bought this as a replacement for a wireless keyboard (not from Amazon) which I only had for a few weeks before I got really fed up with it always needing batteries and not responding half the time. This is a good keyboard, nice and quiet and quick. Has additional features which I haven't explored, if you want to use them. It's comfortable to use. It's just what I needed and I love it.
