I was very impressed with this. It kept my 4 and a half year old boy engaged for some time. He was able to follow the picture instructions with only a little direction from me. The picture instructions were more simple and self-explanatory than Ikea instructions. I think these toys are great for encouraging patience, determination, visio-spatial awareness, construction, manual dexterity and give a sense of achievement. The plastic pins are a little hard to push in, however the set comes with its own device to help push them in (and remove) without too much bother, and my son managed this himself. The wheels were too hard for him to push on, so I helped him out with this. As for toy value,
