My daughter recently bought this giraffe for my wife, for Mother's Day. I thought it was quite a sophisticated and expensive choice, given she is only 2, but I still think it is a fantastic toy. My wife, however, thinks it is not an appropriate gift for an adult and believes my daughter bought it with every intention of keeping it for herself.The toy is huge and takes up the entire corner of our dining room, which is fantastic as I no longer have to repair the broken plaster on the wall. We bought this for our little girl’s birthday. At nearly 1m 40 she’s not short for an 8 year old, and ‘Maisie' (who I’ll call ‘Steve’ the giraffe) is still bigger than her!Steve burst out of his box to the delight of our daughter. Unfortunately he was hampered by being wrapped into an air tight plastic bag, so his entrance was rather muted and our son thought that he may have suffocated or eaten one of the silica bags during transit. Perhaps this is why he’s not touched any of the leaves we put out for him!!We can tell Steve is going to be a great part of the family. So far, our rescue dog and pee’d herself and hidden in terror of the 4ft beast,

I was given this as a gift (My friend sends all her close friends very odd and random gifts), it's a Giraffe! It's a very fine Giraffe it is too, I call her patches.It's well made, cuddly looking and of good build and hight. The whole toy feels strong and is a very good weight. I had to find a space to put "Patches" in as it is a big Giraffe (Pleas don't forget to feed and water your Giraffe or it will feel sad), once I installed "Patches" in a corner of it room she was very happy.Since I was presented this as a gift, I have used "Patches" as props for youtube videos and photo shoots, so it's very good as a cuddly toy for kids and a prob for videos and photos.

The delivery guy was wondering if I'd bought a stuffed ostrich! But since my giraffe arrived in two layers of plastic bags, I was quickly able to show him what I had bought.Once I finished unwrapping her, I straightened her neck slightly (there was a slight curve in it from when she had been pressed against some other parcels) and stood back. Good colour and patterning to the plush, decent stance due to the reinforcement in her legs and neck. She's a good looking example, albeit with a rather lop sided smile, and she looks even taller than she actually is. She really dominates the area where she's standing. Once she had accustomed herself to her new home, I introduced her to the rest of my collection of "mega" plushies.

Amazing my daughter loves it I brought it for her first Christmas but since we are going away christmas eve we coukd t take it with us so opened it and she absolutely loved it. She is 1 years old in 4weeks time, she sat on it and loves to hold it as she is in the process of learning to walk it is very useful as it's quite sturdy. We had a little ride in it around the house a few times ( obviously me standing but she sitting) and I made it seem to her that it's real and tiring to tickle her feet with its head when I'm holding her!! She absolutely loves this giraffe and so do I , I must admit!! IM very happy I got this product as it looks Beutiful wherever I place it in the house!!

This is wonderful - or so my wife tells me. She collects "static" (sounds better than stuffed!) giraffes - mostly of the glass showcase variety. So when I saw this in a local shop window it immediately became a must have item. Unfortunately by the time I had returned to the shop, the one that they had was sold. So I found the very same on Amazon for £20 less. And it is beautifully made, standing well over a metre in height and built of soft material on a well hidden wire frame, so that it is stable when standing and can be posed to a limited extent. It arrived well wrapped, but the form of a giraffe was unmistakeable! I thought it wouldn't last long in the lounge before being relegated to a lesser location,

Hi everybody , I recently came across the Melissa and Doug website and was immediately taken not only with the quality of the site but in particular with the giant girrafe . My baby grandson Beau first birthday was fast approaching so I placed an immediate order via Amazon and the parcel was successfully delivered within a couple of days to my daughters home in Bristol , England . Beau really loves Geoffrey the girrafe and gives him a big hug and a kiss each night at bedtime. We are expecting the arrival of a baby brother or sister for Beau any day now so I guess I had better get back in touch with Melissa and Doug to see what else might catch my eye . I was very exited to get this giraffe for my Sons jungle themed party. I had stayed up all night decorating the house as a jungle and this lovely giraffe looked right at home. My little ones face as he came down stairs the next morning was a picture!. He loves his giraffe and she is now called Angela, random but my son's choice.Everyone who came to the party loved Angela the Giraffe, next to my little boy she was the star of the show. I think everybody wants their very own Angela, kids and adults alike :-)We all love her very much, she has such a sweet face and is very lifelike, especially her eyes. She is very well made and just perfect in every way :-)

Jenny the Giraffe is much loved. She is shorter than expected from the photos but I guess model kids are short. The Giraffe is 1.2 meters tall so not tall enough to go on roller coasters in theme parks. Jenny has been pimped out by my 7 year old daughter and has her hair done with clips, wears a chain around her neck and stinks of perfume. Not sure why Jenny is getting this treatment but I suspect it is her amazing eyelashes. great toy and appreciated by my daughter so I recommend. The main reason I bought was for the comedy of watching the post man deliver a Giraffe to my long suffering wife who hates parcels (even small ones).

Steve has become an invaluable part of the family. Always in eye sight and willing to just sit and listen to you.Has a very large presence that can sometimes seem daunting to small animals but he's actually quite considerate making sure not to move whilst they are around.He doesn't allow you to ride on him but he's happy to be moved around although we haven't tried him on a lead yet.Not sure how we survived so long without him. We've totally welcomed him into the family. What a fun loving guy.

After trying to find one of these I saw it in Argos. Cheaper than ebay even with delivery!! When it arrived I was surprised at the height of it. Although you may think it's expensive for a stuffed toy, it is very well made with lovely tactile material. But what really makes this giraffe special are the eyelashes. I had mine looking out of the living room window and had lots of people doing double takes when they walked past.The only way to have a near endangered species in your home.

I am 44years old and bought this for myself because i have always wanted one. She cheers me up and i smile everytime i see her. She is currently in my front window and gives lots of happiness to passers by, especially when the blind is down and the room light on. From outside she looks like a dinosaur!! She did not come in a box and by the looks of the amount of wrinkles in her neck, she could have had her neck bent in transit. She just doesn't stand as tall because her neck is droopy!!!

I bought this item for my wife who adores giraffes and after she opened it on Christmas day I adore them! The quality is top drawer as it feels and looks like a giraffe! It's very sturdy as it stands up on it's own very well.It's also very cute(just like a real Giraffe)with it's long eyelashes and gorgeous eyes.If I was shopping in Harrods I would expect an item of this quality to sell for a very much higher price!!(It's also VERY tall,what's not to love??)

Perfect. Bought for my 20 month old daughter to accompany the Melissa and doug yellow lab she has, its amazing! stands at nearly 5 feet easily, high quality plush, very well made and looks like it will endure a good few years of rough and tumble from a toddler. Love it so much I was tempted to keep it myself! Only downside was paid for next day delivery but didn't receive the item for nearly a week. Its a good job it wasn't required for a specific date.

Been on a prowl for this giraffe for a while, Selfridges sell a similair one for £300 while I managed to get it for 6 times less on an offer on here! The giraffe is absolutely gorgeous, very realistic and my 2.5year old now officially has a favourite toy. The only downside, I expected it to be really sturdy, However one of the legs is sort of hanging up and not touching the ground so it keeps losing its balance and falling over.
