This tunnel was a Christmas present for our 3 year old daughter from her 5 year old brother and they both love it.The tunnel itself has a padded steel frame and a fabric ‘tunnel’ with fabric butterfly doors at each end and when expanded it really is quite large. It is nearly about 5ft in length and 18 inches high meaning that smaller children can bend down and walk through but older ones need to crawl –that said our 5 year old has no issues getting himself through while chasing his sister. As the tunnel is marketed as being suitable from 3 up to 12 years of age we have a good few years of play in it but I suspect an average 12 year old may find things a bit tight so it is probably best used until about 10 years old really.The fabric of the tunnel is nice and strong and durable, it is also not absorbent meaning spills and garden mud can be wiped away easily (not that we have tested the mud option yet as it’s a bit too chilly in the garden at the moment)In our house space is at a bit of a premium so this toy is great in that we can get it out, have loads of fun playing and then tuck it away into the plastic case and squeeze behind the sofa until next time. This really is the beauty of toys which collapse like this, like pop up tents, they require vertical storage space and very little horizontal space which means they can be stored behind or next to furniture easily.Our two whizz through the tunnel at high speed but also like lying on their tummies inside facing each other and playing games and as there are the ‘doors’ at either end they use it as a bit of a den and hideaway. I can see this being popular as their favourite hide-out as the year progresses.At £27.99 it is not the cheapest tunnel on the market but it does have the extra ‘doors’ which many don’t and it also has the Melissa and Doug name which means you know you will be getting a well-made item. We have had many Melissa and Doug toys over the years and have found them to be extremely well made, high quality and designed with learning and play in mind. This tunnel is no exception.

Erection too is simple, just grab one end and pull out to the maximum length. The tube, which is made of hard wearing, easy-clean, material is kept in shape by steel loops, well-padded to avoid hurting little knees. At a touch over a kilogram in weight, it is easy for quite small children to unpack,set-up and put away.Suitable for use indoors if space permits, but much more fun out in the garden, when the weather’s fine. My granddaughter took to it immediately, and we all had to jump up and feign surprise as she leapt out from behind the butterfly end flap.Good fun for a group of children, but equally enjoyable for a child playing alone.

Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Cutie Pie Butterfly Crawl-Through Tunnel (almost 1.5 meters long)I let my nieces loose on this and I think they have had the most play value out of this than anything. The dog also joins in.They have had it for 3 weeks now and play with it everyday and it still looks like new. It is a simple idea a fold up play tunnel but it has provided many ours of fun for them.Overall.Simple is always best and the two 3-year old’s and one dog have loved playing in it. Despite having many expensive presents for Christmas this is still the one they go for each day. Says it all.

The kids adore this tunnel! To open it, you just need to open the Velcro ties and out it pops. You use a smaller tie if you want to attach a flap to each end. It's pretty big inside, big kids can use it too. I almost fit myself! We put this so it opened into a tent and the kids spent hours wriggling in and out of it. When you want to put it away, just gather it together and use the Velcro ties to secure it. So easy!

What a brilliant toy for the children this is.It is perfect for inside and outside.The tunnel is made from sturdy material that can be cleaned with a moist cloth.When it is built, the tunnel is 147 cm long and has a diameter of 46 cm.This is going to be a Christmas pressie for my 5 yr old niece and I just know she is going to love it.This tunnel is going to get loads of use.Thank You

This is a very pretty play tunnel. And makes a lovely scrunchy noise. My two year old grandson loves it and so does his older sister. These tunnels provide hours of fun for small children and make great hiding places. And by the way, the pussycat loves it too. A great, inexpensive gift.

Ideal for our 3+ and 5 year old grandchildren, it pops open straight out of the bag with lovely butterfly ends to go through . Nice length easy clean , great to to keep children happy for hours and if you loose your phone,keys etc you will know where to find them.

At 1.5m this is probably better used outside, but the quality is excellent (so fine for indoor and outdoor) and the design and styling will be fun for children of 3+. Definitely recommended for children parties etc.It folds flat so is easy to store.
