I have two of these bags. I take one to work with me so that I can express milk for my daughter during my lunch break. This usually provides me with two 3oz bottles which are then sent to crèche the next day using my second cool bag.I use a Medela pump with the associated Medela bottles; these are a perfect fit for the bag. My only criticism is that the bottles don't fit in when the teat and cap is attached. This isn't an issue for me as I just pop the teat and cap in separately but it's something to be aware of. Another reviewer mentioned that the teat will fit if it is turned inside out - good tip!At work I just bring two bottles and am able to fit the Medela Feestyle pump attachments into the bag too - I find this very convenient.I usually store my milk in the bag in the fridge but,if the fridge is full, I just keep the bag under my desk. I freeze the cool pack every night and, even if not in the fridge, the bag and ice pack will keep the milk just as cold as the fridge will for at least 6 hours. The small Medela bottles fit perfectly. The ice block is shaped to allow for the bottles and provides a perfect fit (and thus perfect cooling/insulation).I also like that the bag is subtle and professional looking - it makes it ideal for carrying to and from work.I highly recommend this product and feel like it has made my expressing journey simpler (so much so that I bought a second one so I could bring one to work and send one with my daughter each day). The only real downside is the cost. It does seem expensive but I believe that it's worth it for the practicality and the quality - my first bag has been in use since 2014 and still looks as good as new.

I would recommend these 250ml bottles if you need to pump a lot (I am pumping all my breast milk). I originally bought the 150ml bottles but I was having to change them over mid-pump (time consuming) and it also created more washing up. If you are looking at these bottles you already have a Medela pump, so there is no point reviewing the finer points of the whole system here, but I would just note that I don't like the lids much. You have to handle the two component parts to assemble them even though the instructions that come with the pump say to avoid touching the insides of bottles and caps after cleaning. The lids come apart so you can use the Medela teat. This is good in theory so that you don't have to transfer the milk to different bottles. However, I found the Medela teat too 'narrow'; my baby was taking whole teat into his mouth, whereas the Tommee Tippee and Avent teats are wider at the point where they fit to the bottle and more similar to a nipple and breast. To sum up, if you are pumping a lot, don't waste your time on the small bottles.

I have a number of Medela products for our baby daughter including these breastmilk bottles. What I like about these bottles is that they are big enough to give her a full feed now that she is eating more and the markings are very easy to see unlike other bottles where the markings are made in the plastic themselves. These have held up well to numerous washes and sterilisations. Some things to think about before ordering:-Bottles and teats are typically not transferable between brands, so whichever brand bottle you get, you will have to get the matching teats.-The lids on these bottles are of two pieces as shown in the picture. If you do not get the disc lined up properly, your precious milk will leak out.-Lastly,the opening on these bottles is a little small if you are going to use them for making powder formula. A steady hand will be needed when using the scoop to get the powder in.

We've used the Medela Swing pump since our little one was in the neo-natal ward and continued to use Medela products with our second child also. We rate the pump and natural teats very highly and these bottle don't disappoint either. They are easy to clean and the lids have the added bonus of being interchanged with travel teats on the go to negate the need for separate feeding bottles. This function is however both their pro "and" their con. Any bonus for the convenience of the pop out sections in the lids is negated but the fact they are fiddly to assemble and can pop out at inconvenient points, usually onto a floor that means the lid is no longer sterile. If you're careful with them they'll supplement your baby range well otherwise we've moved on to Philips Avent Classic+ bottles now as they're more robust for our on the move needs.

I used the 150ml size to pump directly into for months, then as I was double pumping for twins and my supply increased I had to move onto this size. They're very easy to clean, can be sterilised by any method and you can get slow or medium teats by medela to feed directly from the bottle. They actually hold approx 300mls if you fill all the way to the top.it's taken a long time for the markings to wear off, they're better than other brands for that. The down side is you cannot get a Medela fast flow teat (Tesco own brand fits, Asdas not so well), They're too tall to fit on any shelf in my fridge stood upright, (and of course breastmilk should not be stored in the door)and too tall for the microwave steriliser (I put mine at an angle and can then sterilise two at once).

Does what it says on the tin, so to speak! These bottles fit your Medela pump and come in handy when the one that came with it is being washed up, or in the fridge or the steriliser (actually we don't generally sterilise them, as the hospital told us there was no need to sterilise breast milk bottles, just wash with hot soapy water). I'm not entirely sure I see the point of being able to take the top circle of the lid out, as I (and I'm sure most other people) just decant the milk into a feeding bottle anyway. The lids do clip together securely so they don't bother me by falling apart all the time. They are a little bit expensive for what they are I suppose, but they do the job and if you're pumping regularly they will come in really handy.

What a wonderful little set! Absolutely perfect for storing milk on the go.Bought for when I went back to work as the fridge at work is often too full for me to store my pumped milk in, and also I don’t trust it won’t get tampered with or contaminated so I bought this and it’s perfect. The bottles are spot on in terms of size, and fit into the bag perfectly, abd should a decent amount of milk. and the ice pack fits around all the bottles and keeps them cold for hours. I take it out of the freezer in the morning when I leave for work, so around 7:20am and it’s still cold when I get back at 6:30pm.Would be great for travelling as well as work,or basically for any time you can’t get to a fridge to store that precious liquid gold.

I have found these the most useful bottles on the market, mainly due to their size. Whilst this isn't a full milk feed, I find half sizes are enough for mid morning & afternoon, therefore these slim bottles are perfect. The tops have a cap for transport and fit the Medela thin teats (different flow rates available). Wash and clean beautifully. Still in excellent condition after daily use for 8 months.Pro - convenient size, easy to transport, wash, last for many months due to replacing teats for new speeds as baby able to tolerate it.Con - a little fiddly to invert the teat inside the lid & cap for transport, but you quickly get the knack.Thoroughly recommended.

We bought these bottles to go with a Medela breast pump and have found the extra 3 bottles to be excellent and very useful. We will pump into a bottle and then store directly in the fridge. We tend to use all expressed milk within a few days (so don't need to freeze it), so the bottles work out far easier than the storage bags. They are easy to use and sterilise, and also they fit easily into a cup of warm water, which is useful for warming milk.We tried using the teat on these bottles and our little guy does not take it - we have to transfer the milk into another bottle for a feed, but we don't find this an inconvenience.

I bought this bag to house a Philips Avent Pump and some bottles. It fits everything in perfectly. I love the little coolbag and bottles - they will be useful long after finishing breastfeeding for containing cooled drinks or even baby food with the added bonus of the fitted ice pack which helps keep things fresh all day. I unfortunately had to give up expressing but have still found the bag useful. Its as nice as any handbag and holds plenty when shopping. Theres a zip compartment for valuables and the light fabric inside makes it easy when rummaging about for things.

I use this cool bag for any milk I pump in the night and I find that the ice pack is still icy by the morning despite my bedroom being about 17oC all night. Great because it's difficult staying awake to express milk, never mind having to go downstairs to pop in fridge. There is a bit of condensation but doesn't bother me. You could use any cool bag for this task but I love that everything fits in perfectly and that the ice pack hugs the bottle. Only complaint is that it's a bit pricey for what is essentially a cool bag and ice pack so it loses a star for that.

Bought these for our 3 month old, to complement our existing Medela kit. They have not discoloured at all in the time we have had them. I think the trick is to wash them in hot soapy water as normal, but to use a steam steriliser rather than liquid disinfectants. I have put all our Medela kit, bottles, lids, teats and so forth in our tommie tippee microwave steamer thing many times and they are still perfect. Not cheap but we have found the Medela teats preferable to others, certainly they don't seem to cause any wind or upset.

We already owned the smaller (150ml) bottles and the Calma teats, so needed bigger bottles when our baby started drinking more milk. The best price we found was on Amazon, and we've had no problems using them to make up formula (unlike another reviewer) - the Aptimil measuring spoon just fits within the neck and the formula should be made up with cooled water (according to instructions).Definitely would recommend the Medela bottles and Calma teats - our baby has used them since he was 2 weeks old with no feeding problems.

25.5.2017

We now have loads of these bottles with the Calma teats, my newborn was getting a combination of breast and bottle milk and the tommee tippee ones were useless and flow rate was far too much and made it leak from his mouth and ended up throwing up from being able to gulp too quickly. These bottles and teats are great, well worth the extra money! My only criticism is the necks are a bit small for getting his formula in but I bought a food funnel to get the formula in and works perfect.

Love these bottles, great price and lovely to hold while feeding baby. Easy to carry around and store in changing bag unlike the large bottles that are out there. Plus they look lovely, clean and fresh due to the subtle colour of yellow. A must buy for newborns as they are not large and heavy with milk in. A bonus is because im breastfeeding I feel more comfortable using these bottles in public because it symbolises breatfeeding with the medela symbol located on the bottle.
