This is a great little pan, the kind of thing you didn't realise until you have it, then it's one of those pieces you wouldn't be without. This is small, but great for making (low volume) sauces, re-heating thicker liquids (also, e.g. "regular" size tins of beans/soups), perfect for tempering spices for Indian cookery (the small diameter base means your oil covers the spices and curved sides makes for easy tossing/mixing with one hand). The pan itself is beautifully well constructed, and I particularly like the Mauviel handle shape that, despite having long fingers and the handle being quite slight, works extremely well for me.

I wanted a quality stainless steel chefs pan/saute pan to complement my Le Creuset stainless steel pan set, but the Le Creuset chefs pan was Teflon non stick lined. Quality of Mauviel is on par with LC range of cookware. The 24cm is the largest of Mauviel's chefs pans and tapers down to 17cm at the base. Their smaller chefs pans would be too small for me, so bare that in mind before you buy.Used in conjunction with the stainless lid, makes this pan the most versatile pan in my collection. Highly recommended.

This is a very useful pan for scrambled eggs, making sauces and (in small quantities) soup. It heats evenly and food generally does not catch. It is also very easy to clean. This size (16cm) is quite small, however. If you are cooking for more than an couple of people you may want to go a size up. I will buy the 20cm saucepan based on this.

Love the wok! Finally I can get rid of my non-stick pans.... no matter how expensive non-stick pans I bought, after few years need to be changed and it is really non environmental friendly! The wok is a bit heavy but deep enough for stir fry. Excellent product!

Bought this after using a saucier at a cook school here in Aberdeen. As I usually cook for one, this is like a mini wok; perfect for stir fries, etc.Just get it hot before adding the oil and ingredients to avoid 'catching'.

A little dream of a saucier! Perfect size, weight, balance and impeccable good looks. If you can't make mmmmm.... sauces in this pan, you can't make sauces.
