I have had this pan for 7 months now. It is so versatile. stir-frys, chili, spag bol, meatballs, indian dishes and fry-ups are just some of the things that regularly put it through its paces. The pan is heavier than cheapos but manageable. Just use a bit of common-sense and make use of the small grab-handle. If you are used to pans with a stay cool handle then you may be disappointed that the handles on this sometimes heat up. On the other-hand, if you are used to heavy cast-iron pans where the handles get intensely hot then this pan will probably delight! Again just use common-sense. I can honestly say that I have never found the long handle too hot to hold, but the stubby one should be approached with caution as it it can get very hot.If you are considering buying the Elite version of this pan here are my thoughts with regards to the glass lid based on my experience of using it on another pan:I like the Circulon Infinite range so much more than the Circulon Elite pans - mostly because of the lids. The elite pans have a really awkward lid design that makes hand-washing and drying awkward. If you sliced through the lid and looked at the lids lip-profile you will see that it resembles the shape of a hook or question-mark. This is a real pain. Normally when cooking with the lid on, any water droplets that form on the glass will eventually run back in to the pan (imagine the dot on a question-mark being a water drip). However, when you then go to lift the lid at an angle to shake off any drips back in to the pan before placing the lid on a work-top a problem occurs - the drips do not run off in to the pan! Instead they pool together in the curve of the lip and will only run off when the lid is placed in a horizontal position. Expect to get small uncontrolled splashes over your work-top and hob! The Infinite lids don't suffer this. The lid on the Infinite by contrast is simple, functional, and easy to clean. Yes, you can't see through it, but don't be put off - you soon get used to it!The only advantage I can see in purchasing the Elite chefs-pan is that it has a larger capacity as evidenced by the higher sides (probably to accommodate the bulky lid). Unfortunately this gives the pan an odd appearance. This Infinite pan is far superior IMHO.A very nice pan to use!

Bought this pan to go with my new set of Infinite pans as I needed a pan that was deeper than my big cast iron skillet for when I do my Saturday night curries for the visiting family...What a fine piece of cookware this is!I have allready used it as a roaster by using it to seal the joint on the hob and then using it in the oven as a roasting tin! When you take the pan out of the oven and remove the joint to rest you can the use the same pan on the hob to make the gravy from the juices left behind by de-glazing with white/red wine and there is no chance of the pan buckling like some of the roasting trays you can buy! Also, because of its shape you only need one ring on the stove to make your gravy instead of the usual two used with an oblong (buckled!)roaster. You can use it for boiling large amounts of potatoes, stir frying, pasta sauces, curries, sautéing, stews (on the hob or in the oven!) and doing your full English on a Sunday morning...so versatile! This pan was half price when I bought it but it is still worth the full price as it is a quality piece of engineering and should last you a lifetime. Forget what the odd one or two say on here about their circulon pans not being durable as they must be doing something really stupid to them like scrubbing them with a wire brush, but even that should not damage these Hard Anodized pans! some very unlucky folk must just have a faulty batch. One more thing, please do your Infinite pans a big favour and wash them in the sink by hand (very, very easy as nothing sticks) dishwasher salt can be harsh and eventually discolour the finish, even though Mayer say you can put them in the dishwasher I would be carefull!

This cookware may be a bit heavy and expensive, (I just bought a whole set) but they are the pans you'd probably see in a restaurant or hotel kitchen. If you are serious about cooking, or you just want to do beans on toast, these pots and pans, do the biz. Because I was more used to my old set, I keep forgetting to use a mitt of some sort to pick up the pans, as they can get very hot (they have metal handles), but after a couple of burns, you tend to remember! But then there's another good reason to use an oven mitt....all the cookware can be used on anything, including Induction and then put straight into the oven, up to Gas Mark 9! When you let the pans cool, they can then go into the dishwasher,a definite bonus. My set of 'Morphy Richards' lasted about ten years, but these 'Circulon Infinte' pans are guaranteed for life.......I'll be dead before they are knackered!Recommended for junior and senior cooks/chefs alike.

I have tried around 20, supposedly non-stick, pans over the years. None have maintained their non-stick properties for more than a few months and most begin to lose it after a few weeks. Not these. I now have a complete set of infinite pans, all at least a year old and they are all as good as the day I bought them. Nothing sticks - ever. Washing up is a breeze, you simply wipe clean with a soft cloth and you're done. There are absolutely no hot spots, so everything is evenly cooked. They can withstand temperatures up to 240 degrees, so hob to oven is no problem. I have turfed-out very other pan I owned - these do everything I need.Surely there must be SOMETHING wrong! Well two things actually.1.They are quite heavy.2. Some say the lids get too hot. (Although I have never found the need to use gloves).Given what they do, for me, those are insignificant issues.

This pan is fast becoming my favourite above all others because of its versatility. Its a good looking pan (if you can say any pan is)and is well balanced. It isnt over heavy when full but the helper handle can get very hot so wear your gloves ! I love it for browning joints before baking, for chilli, bolognese, stir fry, stocks and stews. It is easy clean, just soak for five minutes and wipe off. It is advertised as dishwaasher safe but to prolong life the manufacturer recommends hand washing which isnt a problem. I am building up my collection of circulon little by little. I have most of the bakeware which I would not part with so even though this chefs pan was not cheap I was confident inits quality when I ordered it.I have had all kinds of pots and pans over the years but I have to admit that the circulon range is the first that I would trust to recommend.

I bought one of these as I had been given some cookware vouchers for a present. It is quite simply the best pan I have ever used. It is heavy-based so takes a little while to get to temperature, but once it does it cooks like a dream. The heat is perfectly distributed and in fact, it's quite hard to burn or even char food inside it. It's oven-safe to 250 degrees C so you can finish off dishes that way too. The lid makes an excellent seal. It is the most non-stick pan I've ever cooked with. A light spray or brush with oil will cook a fried egg so easily you can tilt the pan and slide it off. Pancakes are the same. The dimensions of the pan mean that it is most useful for sauces, risottos and the like, but it will take a mini fry-up and as mentioned, fits a pancake perfectly in the base. Highly recommended.

It took me a while searching for the right pans as I have been disappointed before and wanted something that would last and not stick.Circulon pans are really well made and the nonstick surface is great. The instructions say it's fine to use metal utensils but I don't want to risk it. (I bought the plastic circulon range)The chef's pan is a really nice addition to my kitchen. Its perfect for making one pot dishes such as bolognese / casseroles / soup, as it's nice and deep.I make a lot of oriental food so I thought this would do as a small wok, turns out it's not great if you have to cook a lot of veg, for a stir fry for instance as the pan isn't that wide and the veg won't cook evenly.I will just have to replace my wok with a decent circulon one :)

My first reason for choosing it was it was compatible with an inductive hob. Secondly, it had the capacity I was looking for. Price was also a factor and I found it was quite competitive with similar pans from other sources. My first impression was how well it was packaged by the manufacturer to ensure no possibility of damage in transit. Some thought had gone into this.I'd noticed one adverse comment about it in reviews was the handle on the lid can get very hot but I haven't found this a problem. It cooks very evenly and is a breeze to clean after use. I anticipate this pan will have a long life despite a frequent use in our household, as it is solidly made.If it did meet with an accident I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with another of the same.

I've had various sauté/high sided pans over the years as this seems to get more use than any other pan in my kitchen. Most pans seem to last a few years at most before they show signs of wear, even high quality pans just don't seem to like being used every day. I can't really comment on longevity as yet, having only had this a week, but have high hopes for this one.I like a heavier pan as it gives the feeling of sturdiness and high quality and is more difficult to knock off/over, and this does have some weight to it, but the extra handle makes this easy to carry/move even for someone challenged vertically. The high side are perfect and stop me losing escapee food and making a mess of thecooker. Will be buying other pans in this range now.

The good points about this pan are that the surfaces are completely non stick and it has reasonably steep sides to keep the contents in whilst stiring. The lid is reasonably tight fitting but it is not transparent so you cannot see the contents whilst cooking unless you raise the lid. The lid also has a metal handle which can become hot during the cooking process so you need to be a little careful with this. The handle is also metal but this has not been a problem as it seems to take a long time to conduct heat and I have not yet had to use a cloth to hold it. The handle is long so that has to be taken into account when storing or putting in the dishwasher.Overall I am happy with the product and would recommend it to others.

Bought this as a gift for my son because when he comes to stay (and cook) this is the first pan he aims for out of my Meyer Circulon collection. He would boil an egg in it if I allowed it. Anyway, what a success it has been and I know it will be the start of a 6 pan set. It's not just the cooking that's a joy with this product but the cleaning. Whether it's food spilled down the outside of the pan or grease splashes from another pan when working on a crowded hob, washing away the muck is so easy; even when burned on.I have been using Meyer for some 14 years now and the Circulon is in its 3rd year.Terrific product and when I compare it to the one Le Creuset product that I have, a stainless steel sauté pan,it's no contest.

I have just finished fitting our new kitchen and had decided to go for an induction hob, however this meant getting rid of all our old pans and replacing them with new compatable ones! After extensive research into what were the best ones to buy we decided on the circulon infinate range (which? magazines best buy!!).I cant fault these pans in a single way, they heat up very quickly, have a very even spread of heat and as for the non stick coating, no matter whats in it.....it just wipes off with a cloth!!! Circulon even say on their website that the non stick coating is that good, its ok to use metal utencils!!! Could not be happier with the quality and usability, and will be recommending them to all who will listen!

I recently purchased a complete set of the Circulon Infinite range to use on a replacement induction hob, and the results are outstanding. The even heat distribution is really excellent and the non-stick coating is the best I've ever encountered. As the larger items have twin handles the increased weight, when compared to some inferior products, is manageable, and they are incredibly easy to keep clean.I'm really amazed at the improvement in the quality of the meals that I cook, and that's all down to this brilliant range of products. The additional Circulon items, such as the draining spoon, are also really well designed and easy to clean.A very well deserved five star rating in my opinion.

New kitchen, so invested in replacement Chef's pan (my old one was an M&S brand) since the non stick had worn out. This pan from Amazon was loads cheaper than everywhere else I looked and although still quite expensive I think it's worth every penny. I have used it non stop in past couple of months since it arrived. It's sturdy (fairly heavy, so beware if that's an issue for you), amazingly non-stick, with heavy lid and the perfect shape for all sorts of dishes like curries, chilli con carne and bolognese sauce. Easy to wash up, although I do put in the dishwasher occasionally. Can go in the oven also, but I haven't tried that yet. A great buy!

After reading through countless reviews of good-quality non-stick pans and trawling through tonnes of recommendations, I decided to purchase this after careful consideration.I must say in terms of appearance and looks, it really oozes quality and class. It also feels quite sturdy compared to my other cookware and Tefal pans.Cooking meals on it is a pleasure, from frying, sauteing or simmering/boiling, it does the job quite well. Heat up times are very fast and cleaning it up afterwards is a breeze.I would highly recommend this brand of cookware and I am greatly considering to invest in more from this range.
