This is a really nice play set for any young Barbie fan, this time in the form of the 'Barbie Dreamtopia' range. This 'Chelsea' Barbie doll is childlike and very cute, she has long blonde hair and is wearing an attractive outfit consisting of...a snap on plastic bodice (pink, yellow and pale blue) as well as a rainbow coloured skirt with a white cloud pattern, yellow shoes and a purple tiara.What's great about this playset is that it comes with another four clothing item (rainbow coloured wings, an irredescent skirt, a rainbow coloured mermaid tail and a pale pink top with purple sash). There are also a pair of pink shoes and pink tiara.

I got this for our youngest family member, she's improbable and all things pink and or sparkly. I am reliably advised that this is Chelsea, she comes dressed in a shell style body... it doesn't come off. Also a colourful skirt, which is removable, and little plastic sandals. There are three interchangeable outfits, or roles, if you like: mermaids, fairy and well, Chelsea! The mermaids tail seems to be the favourite accessory. The outfits are not particularly robust, and could be fiddly for little fingers, but then the age recommendation is 3 years plus. It's a great little gift, at this time of year, it makes an inexpensive stocking filler.

As with all these dolls, the child [3] absolutely loved it. She cannot make up her mind whether she is a Princess or a Fairy and is often a Fairy Princess, and sometimes Princess Fairy... so this set which allows the doll to become a Princess or a Fairy (or a Mermaid... hah! she hadn't thought of THAT!) was perfect - especially as it arrived just as the young lady was feeling rather poorly - and thoroughly cheered her up!And I am not able to print what her mother thought (she IS from New Zealand where swearing is endemic)All in all - everyone happy! Grandpa in the good books, child over the moon, mother fuming... Win Win!

Excellent gift set for your fave Barbie lover but misleading name - this is Chelsea (apparently Barbie's little sister) not the main woman herself! And she's smaller than I expected. Anyway Chelsea has all the clothing options - she can be a glittery princess, a shimmery mermaid or a rainbow fairy, or presumably all three at once! Really lovely for younger kids IMHO - not quite as grown-up - and a good deal for all you get. Every bit of the costumes is lovely though (like the large-size Barbie version) the wings seem quite cheap, which is a letdown. Minor quibble though.

Like the Barbie, Dreamtopia doll, Chelsea has a combination of different outfits, which allow her to be dressed as a princess, mermaid or fairy - or, indeed, all of them at once!Like Barbie, Chelsea's outfits were not, to my mind, of the best quality. The tops just clip on at the front, rather oddly leaving her back bare. Again, this not bother my niece, who has delighted in both Chelsea and Barbie. The outfits give the dolls a lot of play value and, although I was not particularly impressed by the accessories, she loves them both and, I think, liked Chelsea more.

Standing at approximately 14cm tall, Chelsea is "Mini-Me" Barbie. The Amazon pictures show exactly what you're getting. Chelsea's arms and legs move (shoulders and hip joints). Chelsea's mermaid tail is fabric and not designed to get wet, but if it did end up in water I don't think any harm will come to it. Youngsters are bound to take Chelsea for swimming lessons.5 stars for fun factor, being able to dress her up in different combinations the accessories included. Being Mattel, it is well made and should last years.3+ years, due to small parts.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how child-like this Barbie is. I knew they had changed from the original, but did not realise just how much of an improvement they had made. The original was very much a small adult shape, but this one is definitely a child doll, with flat sandals, an attractive, young-looking face and a child-shaped body. It has a range of easy to fit imaginative dress -up clothes. My friend’s daughter, who is seven, just loves it and enjoys dressing and undressing it and making up stories about Barbie’s adventures. Love it!

I always loved small toys and dolls when I was a child and I've no doubt that I would have loved this doll. She is packaged in a clear-fronted blister pack ideal for hanging up in a shop display. She's about 5.5inches tall. She has long blonde hair and is fully dressed with also a good combination of outfits included. The mermaid tail is a little tricky to put on, but we got there in the end!Her face is beautifully painted and B loves her. She's part of the Dreamtopia range of dolls under the Barbie brand. Our children's first impressions were that this is a very small set. We have a lot of Barbie and similar products and this is definitely at the smaller end, which is worth bearing in mind if they're planning to play with them all together and swap their clothes etc. Setting the size aside, it's sweet and has a few accessories to play with. It's been played with a fair bit but is unlikely to become a classic in our household. Recommended for younger children (but not so young that they'll put the small pieces in their mouths).

This is a very pretty set and a nice change from purely fashion based Barbie dolls. This is much smaller than the usual tall and skinny version of Barbie, probably intended as a younger sister kind of connection. The many small parts are a great way of opening it up to more use of imagination. However, the small parts while giving it more choices and variety don't give me the impression that they will stand up to excessive play, time will tell. A nice doll and accessory set overall.

Barbie FJD00 Dreamtopia Playset, Multi-Colour has created a lot of fun for our little girl who already loves the original Barbie d.oll, now we have introduced her to the small ones she thinks these are much more fun as she loves the bright colours as well as the pretty clothes which are included with the doll.The doll has accessories which are nicely made and very colourful, and everything about this doll makes it a sure favourite.A great fun item which I am happy to recommend.

The collection of dolls in the house seems endless, i dont know one from the other these days, however this one is has somehow established itself on the pecking order as the go to bath doll. Its small, comes with some little accessories which you will lose unless you have some OCD approach to keeping these things together. Ultimately its the mermaid tail that is the standout thing. So this has been a good addition to the bathtime posse.

This Barbie is smaller than some others my daughter owns – she is approximately 16cm tall. If you are expecting a standard sized Barbie, you will be in for a shock.Nevertheless it is a decent Barbie and has a fair number of accessories.You get what you pay for - rival, cheaper dolls invariably show that they are cheap – my daughter notices too. It is good to have a well-made doll.Price at time of review: £13.94.

This is a small set - ideal for a gift ?.Lots of little girls would love this set which includes a few items of clothing, butterfly wings and a mermaid tail ?♀️ .Currently on sale at £15.25.The set was smaller than I expected.I tested this with a nearly 5 year old - who loved it. We had a few interesting chats about mermaids!I found the clothes easy to change not all fiddly.Recommended for Barbie fans.

I'm not sure this qualifies as a playset - it's just a doll with a few fashion accessories. Misleading title aside, my girls still enjoy anything with Barbie on it and this Chelsea doll is no different. Part of the dreamtopia range, Chelsea can be transformed into a Mermaid or Butterfly/fairy freakshow. Everything is colourful, glittery, and cute, and it fits in well with our other dolls.
