What can I say, this is damn good stuff. I enjoy my cognacs neat and this is by far the smoothest VSOP I've tried so far, (compared to the other big houses) It's aromatic on the nose and not too overwhelming, it's just goes down so well, I'm really impressed by Martell.However, I had to take 1 star off, I found there was a bit of a trade off in the taste. While it is smooth and mellow, I find its slightly lacking in depth and character. After a taste, the flavours and aromas disappear very soon after, it doesn't linger in the mouth like other VSOPs I've had. It's a slight trade off for something so smooth, and at this price point, I really can't complain. Taste is subjective,

WOW Martel is one Fantastic drink, I’m No expert on Brandy/Cognac Etc but do ya really need to be!I think I prefer this to the regular Martel he says with one on order with expected delivery for Monday ??Thought I would try this Red Barrel because it was Next day delivery, and I was out of Cognac.It’s a lovely drink but I’ve only had it in tea and coffee so far, Not really into Neat Brandy but I’ll try it for you guys and do a update .....the things I do for ya! ?Brandy makes me Randy, .... naughty dreams again tonight! ???They say Alcohol can kill a virus but I’m not washing my hands in it!???? ?

A truly great cognac, full of flavour. Not overly sweet with a delicate vanilla notes, some fig and saffron notes with an Oakwood/sandalwood finish. A very well rounded flavour profile, with no heavy spice flavours, just fruity+woody goodness. Also, while not the best value for money, this VSOP beats others in its class (Hennessy VSOP, Courvoisier VSOP etc).

This is the best vsop around me and my mate always buy loads bottles and twenty six pounds 90 pence was excellent price with free standard delivery so hope will go down again some point. Very woody and smooth and easy to drink far to much dont last long and no harshness I prefer this to remy vsop. Cant go wrong for the price even thirty was ok.

Love Martell Brandy but this is the first time I tried Medallion Cognac ... so warm and smooth on the chest without that bite ... 10/10 ... will be buying more for special accations ... just hiding it from the misses will be the problem she loves it too :)

A step up from the standard Martell,a very drinkable smooth coganc.At the time very good value.Don,t expect the taste of a cordon bleu but nonetheless most enjoyable.

Surprisingly smooth at this price range, lacking a bit in depth of flavour but a fair tradeoff at this price point. Overall, a very pleasant drink and good value.

One of the smoothest cognacs on the market. Excellent news for people with a more delicate stomach. I would rate this alongside Remy Martin for similar quality.

Can’t say enough superlatives about this cognac. Lovely taste, premium product presentation, exceptional value for money if you can get it sub £26, like l did.

I was told by the drinker that this is the nicest brandy they have tasted to date . I picked it up for a bargain price and will definitely purchase again.
