I used this as a practice/portable amp for my electro-acoustic mandolin. It has a sturdy belt clip for walking and playing (although you may look a little pretentious!) and has volume and tone dials, and an off/on/overdrive dial. There is also a headphones out jack and a AC input (although it also runs on battery power). It does what it's meant to but is not going to blow your mind, it makes your playing louder and has a little tone control but it's realistic for the price you're paying. The only annoying thing for my mandolin is that it doesn't amplify the sound very much unless I put it in overdrive mode, but this may just be because mandolins aren't the most powerful instruments. Overall, pretty useful little practice amp but don't expect miracles.

This is my first example of a mini amp like this so not much to compare it too however initial thoughts are that it works well for the job it is intended for considering the price being charged. Only used it via battery power so far but despite the small size the sound kicked out is fine for my first forays into learning the guitar (and I'm sure my neighbours are happy I have nothing louder!). Being honest it looks and feels cheap, but then to be fair, it is!Only complaint is that it is incredibly light, in fact, too light - I find that when you have a lead plugged in the weight at the front has a habit of making it fall over.I'd recommend using it with an L-shaped jack to stop that happening.

arrived super quick UK -> Portugal ordered friday, dispatched saturday arrived wednesday.if you are afraid the sound this amp produces is too low, fear not. its pretty damn loooooooud and the quality of the sounds is amazing for such price.one small recommendation: buy a rechargeable 9V battery. i dont know how long the battery that comes with the product have, altough i have it as a spare when my rechargeable is recharging.

Well made and iconic brand. It was worth the money just to use as an ornament! As to the sound, on full volume, it is worth using in the home or pub to get some more volume but there is a slight buzz to the speaker when in use - not an electronic buzz but more a speaker buzz trailing each note. For electric guitar, it may be acceptable and construed as dirty, but for acoustic, it does slightly spoil the clean tones.

This amp is great for what it is. Actually it is a little miracle and the distortion sounds really good. It tends to produce an annoying buzzing sound in high volumes, but that's not a big deal. I think it is great for studying or if you want to use your electric instrument along with acoustic guitars and some percussion. Do not expect to play with a full drum set though and be fine.

I would recomend this product to any guitarist from beginner to expert!!! It is light small and powerful, it makes the same amount of noise as a substantially bigger amp, plus it's there to go anywhere. For £20 this is great quality and I highly recomend this as I am only 12 but have had 5 years of guitar experience and this the best value amp I have ever owned!!!

My parents bought this for my son for his birthday. I was amazed by its quality for such a small device and he absolutely loves it! OK, its not top of the range sound but for the money it is superb. I recommend it as a top Christmas stocking filler or birthday present for a budding guitarist.

Great sound and very loud. For such a small amp the sound is surprisingly good, especially on OD. If you live in a flat, as I do, expect your neighbours to hear it when you play at maximum volume.Bottom line is if my MS-2R got lost or was stolen I would order a replacement straight away.

Great quality for the price. Works best with headphones. If you want full on Marshall sound and effects, get the new Marshall MG15CFX, I've got one and it's epic. It's light years ahead of the previous MG series solid state amps... Definitely worth paying the extra for.

I love these mini amps they sound great for practice, as do the other models to. The od and tone ect sound just right and you can tweak them with the control's on your guitar also. But remember if you want a big sound get a big amp!

Would use this suplier again and have no hesitation in recommending them. Bought this for my daughter so that she can practice without disturbing people. Marshall is a good brand and this little amp does not let them down.

Its Great But You Should Buy The 9v Adapter Or You'll Have To Replace The 9v Batteries Over And Over Again It Gets Anoying But Its Small But LOUD You Might Want To Keep That In Mind...Jake

Easy to use, sound is decent considering the size. The OD feature is useful. You wouldn't want to use this as your main amp but for practise it works well.
