Luigi's Mansion has arrived ...I won't be playing it until Halloween.Had this on the Cube at launch, it was a system seller for me.Consequently it's an all time top 10ner for me.Will this version hold up??I expect the Cube version will still be the definitive take ...Online reviews i've scanned for this version have been 7.5 to 9 out of 10.Not bad at all.Quite a short game but in these days of super long games that is fine and dandy with me.I'll happily update when i've played through this game ...When i saw the new version of an old friend I was really happy...Glad they updated and stuck with the original art work.Happy Halloween everyone andStay scared!!!???????????UPDATE:: I couldn't resistpopping the game in last night to try it out ....I have to say I really like what i've played thus far ...Let's quickly get the obvious out of the way...The graphics do lose a bit in this version ...The atmosphere of the Mansion in the original was something really quite extraordinary. We don't get the dust particles caught in the torch light etc. It's minor but is noticeable. Also, the ghosts were just prettier in their look in the original being translucent and all. However I did honestly stop thinking about that quickly and the 3ds take soon became easy to enjoy in it's own right.Ninty have really honoured the original to the very best of their abilities where they can and even upgrading here and there...Always having the map there on the lower screen that is pretty cool. The controls handle really well ... playing on a new 3ds and you can use the nub to pan luigi to look up and down and rotate him left or right.(It's done with the d-pad regularly.)Handles similar to Mansion 2 or perhaps a little better, probably need to get to a busier part of the Mansion and take on multiple ghosts to say that with true conviction though. It all feels pretty natural to me.What else to say???If your a new comer, then I think you'll enjoy the experience - it's a good time!!If you've played before you should be very happy with the job done.Luigi's Mansion 3ds keeps the integrity of the original fully in place. From the moment you enter the Mansion and hear that old sountrack kick in you'll have to have a smile. If your a 3DS lover this is really a must buy.Presentation is to the usual Ninty level of greatness.Superb stuff.?

This was the first game I ever played when I received my GameCube back in 2002. I was 10 years old and I can safely say I enjoyed the game just as much as I did now as I did back then. The game is a beautiful port of the original Luigi's Mansion although in some places it does show its age with some strange control choices the game still manages to hold its nostalgic side of affairs as well as telling a classic tale of how Luigi helped free is brother Mario. If you've played Luigi's Mansion 2 then you will really enjoy this game but I must say it does play fairly different but only in minor areas it's still got a ton of ghost catching and a much better storyline.I always preferred Luigi's Mansionto Luigi's Mansion 2 as I didn't like the chapter system from 2 and that's not apparent in this game which I was so pleased about.Honestly this was one of my favourite games on the GameCube and even if you have played it and want a nostalgia trip you really do need to pick this up.Only downers I can think of are the visuals sent as crisp as the GameCube but of course this is to be expected on such a small system, along with its average control scheme and also the game length... I finished it already!! It's on the short side but maybe that's because I couldn't stop playing it.Any Nintendo fan will have a blast with this game.

I Loved this game when it came out on GameCube and this version is a good attempt to recreate that magic. It looks pretty good considering hardware limitations but what let’s it down for me is the controls. I don’t know why they just didn’t release it on the Nintendo Switch. I don’t like the tilt action in the game and find alternative left thumb -stick quite cumbersome but I persevered and got through it and back for more. The dislikes don’t outweigh the awesomeness of this game for me.

Luigis mansion originally started life of on the gamecube but has now made it way to the 3ds and has the 3d graphics the game originally had planned to have but dropped during development. The gameplay hasnt changed and if you have played the second one you will enjoy this one my only issue i have is the new 3dsxl analogue stick is too high up to really enjoy using for this game but if your like me and have the now defunct 3dsxl circle pad pro it works far better.

Has to be one of the best 3DS games, the graphics are good in 3D mode, the story is not overly involved and you can dip in and out of the game easily. Good range of character, and the environments are interesting and look really good in 3D.What a shame Nintendo did go create a new 3DS xxl

Game isn't quite as polished as the newer two releases, but it's still nice to have a classic in my collection.Slightly creepier and darker than the newer titles, and slightly less polished but a lot of fun nonetheless. Controls could probablybe tweaked a bit but I'm still enjoying it.

My son 7yrs took a little while to get use to Luigi's mansion (based on game cube version). He had been playing the dark moon on his DS, I'm sure it was down to the graphics but loves it now. After comparing an watching prices, Argos definitely had best price. I find it usually does.

My 5 year old loves these games, we already had the second one so thought he would get this with his pocket money he had saved from family, I have to admit we think its harder than the second one but he loves it so don't mind ?

The original Luigi's Mansion finally gets the remake treatment it truly deserves and it's a incredibly enjoyable romp that with provide plenty of fun throughout the games 10 hours run time.

The game itself is absolutely amazing, brings some beautiful welcome changes, and great new graphics, only thing is controls are very very angering but still very playable!

Just as brilliant as I remember it on the GameCube, this HD remaster is absolutely worth the purchase - especially with the new addition of a co-op mode!

An entertaining game but with some tricky areas to play. One for older kids or more experienced players but without doubt good fun to play.

Very good game very difficult so wouldn't recommend for little ones , but grown ups who are a fan of mario/ Luigi games will love it.
