TIP: Can I please recommend that you have some washers handy so that on step 17 and 29 you can reinforce the underside of the stairs and middle wall. The board you are screwing through is not really able to take any kind of stress that the screw head puts on it.We also had an issue during assembly with a screw-head shearing off leaving the screw in situ. This had the potential to ruin the entire build but was circumvented by drilling a new hole and using a different screw.What I did like about the build was the screw heads being painted a similar colour to their surroundings so that they blended in a bit better than shiny metal. The instructions are also pretty clear,

We have been looking for a pretty dollhouse for my 4yr old for couple of months... kidskraft has a variety of dollhouse designs, we were confused between a dollhouse with garage or pool. Our daughter preferred pool ( expecting to play with water, but that's no no) so we settled with this one. Except for few missing furnitures ( which kidskraft immediately shipped for free) the package delivered fine. Now the new dollhouse is built and it looks so big and colorful. The pool area is big and every room is so very spacious. The furniture does not look crowded leaving lots of space for the little ones imagination. Over all it's a stylish modern dollhouse. We all love it. Now about building it,

This dolls house is value for money because it is HUGE. I had a rough idea of how big it was but I didn’t measure for it arriving. I had assumed like all toy adverts/photos they used a small doll sized child to play with it, not this time. It’s only a few inches smaller than me and I’m 5ft6inch lol. It arrived in a huge box and had 100s of separate pieces. It was very fiddly to put together and took us 4 hours. The instructions are in black and white and have no details on like the patterns on the walls and floor so it is very easy to get things round the wrong way. There were a few pieces where the drill holes were missing completely and we had to make these ourselves. Most of the furniture comes made up.

Quite a building project to get this impressive house together. If it were a real build some additional safety features for the stairs and elevetor would be required. The additional bag with bolts is btw to fix the construction on the wall to avoid the structure would be pulled over when play gets rough, I think. Don't throw wrapping away before everything is finished. We missed part 17, a transparent small bit used when assembling the stairs until we discovered it when going through the pile of wrapping. Also: consider putting some glue behind the elevetor rail to attatch it more securely than with a couple of tiny screws.

This is HUGE and so much better quality than Barbie Dreamhouses! My daughter has wanted a BDH for the past 3 years and I just couldnt bring myself to buy something that I know will fall apart and get ruined because its cheaply made. She picked this one out from the website and once we got it set up she was so happy. At first she was like, idk I may still want the BDH but once she saw this in person she didn't even want the BDH anymore. The only thing I would recommend KidKraft to change is on the instructions, I wish they would show the print on the walls and panels. Its kind of hard to tell which way the boards are supposed to be turned. I had to unscrew the pool area a few times to get it correct.

Brought this for my 7 year old for Xmas, and just put it together. Comes very well packed, and all the parts are quality built including all the furniture and accessories. Takes approx 3 hours to build but definitely worth it as its beautiful. It is very large so make sure you have the room before you purchase. Rooms are big enough to add more furniture and accessories to if you wish. Furniture is in a stunning retro theme. My daughter originally asked for a Barbie dreamhouse but that was a lot more money for flimsy plastic rubbish, when she saw the beautiful range of doll houses kidkraft stock her mind was changed instantly and chose this house as it had everything she wanted and she is not disappointed now it is up.

Really pleased with this dolls house. Ideal for slightly older children, my 8 year old loves it. The house and accessories fit barbie type dolls perfectly. I was looking at the barbie dream houses but after reading lots of reviews etc got this one and pleased that i did. There are lots of bits to play with and has kept my daughter and friends (and even her big sister sometimes) busy for lots of hours.Just be aware it takes a LONG time to put together and is pretty complicated. The night before my daughters birthday I thought we were never going to finish it!That being said it’s a doll loving child’s dream come true. I wish I could shrink down and live in it!

So far I am still building and it is hard going. I expect it will take about 6 hours. I wanted to add some thoughts now.The box it came in has a photo of the product printed on the outside so beware if this is a surprise for someone. It is also extremely heavy and hard to manoeuvre.So far so good on all parts being in the box. The stickers labelling the parts do rip the printed boards but can be removed if you apply a bit of water to the sticker for a minute or two, otherwise it is impossible and my first two ripped.Overall I think it will look great when built but this will be a big building job.

My daughter loves this house. Its colourful and sturdy and was in perfect condition when it arrived. It took an experienced flat pack builder 3 hours plus to build it , its not easy but worth it. Its very large and would not suit a small bedroom. The lift is a little stiff to move but nothing a touch or grease wouldn't fix. The little light, musical piano and toilet sounds are fun. There's lots of furniture included which is good you don't need much to top its up to doll heaven! We will add some lights and a wardrobe to ours this Xmas. We have had ours for two months and can't be happier with it .

... love this one, changed the office into a 2nd bedroom, so 2 families can share the house 'cause my granddaughter and her best friend regularely share the house with theyr doll-families (and those families have 5 lil doll-kids between them) meals are usually served on the roof-top-patio. As I say the girls creative imaginations can really go wild with inovations all over this house, I know of an other woman in my circle of friends that bought it for her daughter ... 'cause her girl wanted a pool!!

This doll house is so cute and our kids love it. The piece with the pool should probably not go right in front of the house because it’s likely kids will step on it and break it. It is removable, however, so that’s great if you don’t mind setting it off to the side somewhere. The other thing that would make a lot more sense to me is for the pieces around the pool to be waterproof. The pool can hold water just fine but if the water gets on the pieces around the pool it damages the pictures.

Quick speedy delivery even at the holidays during covid and mail delays. Thought that with 2 of us putting it together it wouldn't take the 3 hours others said, but it did. Directions while step by step were confusing in a couple spots. Obviously color pictures of the pieces wouldn't be cost effective on printed directions, but the online one would be nice. While I love the pool we haven't been able to store under the house. We have to remove that piece.

My daughter received this as a Christmas present. She absolutely loves it. I love the wooden furniture and was fairly easy to put together... just a lot of parts. What I do not like about this dollhouse is the elevator is hard for a child to move without almost breaking it and the floors are a little wobbly due to lack of support. However, I love Kidcraft and all their products. We have many toys and furniture pieces that have maintained over the years!

Wife bought this for grand daughter instead of the barbie one, she does her research well. Wife sorted everything, and took me about 3 hours to build. One complaint that i have is there are different colored screw with the same number and have to guess or go back and switch some around. If the instructions would just add a color letter at the different locations it would dafe time and flustration.Other then that we had zero problems.

We receive the parcel of 26kg from U.K. to Greece within 5 working days which was stunning!The instructions were perfect and the screws packaging was really helpful as you can see from the pic.It took us 2,5 hours to complete it and the whole process was flawless due to the great instructions.It is about a heavy construction by a mix of plastic elements and wooden.The overall outcome is perfect and I would suggest it for sure!
