L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Eyebrow Colour Kit, Light to Medium - RRP £9.99=== OVERALL ===When I first discovered the Benefit brow kit, I'd had my eyebrows dyed a blackish purple by a beauty salon and looked ridiculous as I'm very pale! Using the brow kit gave my eyebrows back their normal colour and meant I could leave the house without wearing sunglasses!. Since then, I've also recommended the brow kit to friends to add missing volume to over-plucked eyebrows; and to friends with ginger hair to give definition to pale eyebrows. The Benefit kit works an absolute treat. This L'Oreal kit is a fraction of the price and just as good, so I will be recommending it in future.=== TO USE ===With a bit of practice,it's simple and very much worth it to have more defined brows:- Fluff up the eyebrows with the spooly end of the supplied brush, then shape them using scissors and tweezers (or have them shaped for you at a salon)- Apply plenty of brow wax in both directions (so both sides of the hair are coated) using the angled brush on the other end of the supplied brush- Smooth the brows back into shape with the spooly brush- Apply the powder conservatively using the angled brush in the direction of hair grown, building up gradually to achieve the desired look.=== PRODUCT PACKAGING ===The wax (on the left) and powder come in a smart silvery snap-top case which contains a mirror, tiny tweezers and a double-headed brush with a spooly (spiral brush) at one end and an angled brush at the other.=== NIGGLES ===The kit would be even better apart from a couple of slight niggles:- The mirror would be even better if it was slightly magnified- It would be better to have separate brushes to apply the wax and powder, to keep them separate- The tiny tweezers aren't as easy to use as full-size tweezers, so they'd just be for pulling out the odd hair rather than a full eyebrow tidy-up

Well this is a bit different … a 'brow pomade', which is a mix between a powder, a pencil and a gel. An interesting concept … but does it work? The pomade is in an attractive metallic pink pot with a long thin neck, it consists of two separate products in one. An eyebrow precision angled brush one end with a warm blonde brow pomade in a pot at the other. The brow pomade is in a small circular transparent pot. The colour of the pomade is quite a dark blonde and the texture is not too soft (a little crayon like) yet it applies easily and evenly. This pomade produces a good strong colour which was a bit too light for my hair but suited my teenage daughter's dark blonde hair and eyebrows perfectly. It covers well but looks just a bit too obvious for my liking, although my teenage daughter loves it. You really need to be very precise when shading your brows with this … any error will stand out like a sore thumb, as I sadly found out. It would probably be advisable to use one of the many brow stencils that are available to avoid mistakes.I am fifty seven years of age and do not have the inclination to style my eyebrows apart from the odd tweezering of a stray hair or two … I gave this pomade a try, laughed at the result and decided to pass it on to a much younger person … my teenage daughter, who needless to say produced a much better sculptured look than I did.I am sure this brow pomade will be just the thing for the modern eyebrow styling phenomenon which is sweeping the nation amongst today's teenagers.

So I'm fairly new to using gel type products on my eyebrows having generally been gifted with a reasonable amount of hair in that location, but have always had a little patchiness that I would correct using various powders in a fairly subtle way. Now the fashion is much more geared to defining and shaping brows fairly strongly with products like this one. I'm a dark blonde naturally and so opted for the blonde shade. This shade is a more grey brown colour than blonde which from my experience with powders in the past does tend to go well with blonde hairs and associated skin tones. The packaging and case are really a joy to look at and I love the fact that a) it comes with a little angled brush and b)the brush is kept in the lid of the pot, so no scrambling about to find a suitable brush. The only tiny issues on this front I think are that the brush doesn't click in or screw on tightly which may be annoying if you're taking it in a makeup bag and there isn't a brush wand to brush your eyebrows with before/during/after.The product is easy to use and using small strokes with the brush gave the most natural look. It takes a few seconds to dry and then it is set, and in my case seemed to stay put for about 10 hours before I noticed it looking less defined.I recently tried the wunderbrow and have to confess that one seems better in longevity and colour for me, but I'd happily use this version too, plus it looks far nicer on my dressing table.

Brow pomade in warm blonde..........................This is a very well presented product, with a pretty, almost champagne bottle style pot in a coppery pink colour that looks very decorative on a dressing table.Product design............The pot breaks up into three parts, the brush pops out of the bottles neck, the neck of the bottle unscrews to review the product in the clear base. The brush has a protective plastic sleeve on to stop any damage, when this is removed you have a small, hard bristled, slanted edge brush which you use to not only remove the product from the bottom tub but to also apply to your eyebrows.Pomade.............The product is a light and creamy “pomade” which feels likea whipped powder to me.It is definitely a product where a little goes a long way and so is best applied with a delicate hand and built up in layers if necessary. It went through my eyebrow hairs and on to my skin as well as sitting on the brow hairs, this gave a natural look that still managed to make the brow up and look polished. After a few minutes the pomade did not transfer off with touch, but it still came away if I rubbed my eyebrow. It removed with a makeup wipe.Brush.............The brush is excellent, it has clearly been designed for exactly this use and delivers a wider edge if lay down ( for the fuller part of the brow) and a thinner edge if you use the tip ( great for styling the thinner end of your brow).

Relying solely on eyebrow makeup to fill in my sparse brows, the paradise brow pomade is by far my favourite brow product to date! Not only does the exterior of the product (which is a beautiful rose gold bell shaped bottle) look like an elegant piece of art on my dressing table but the brow formula itself is just as impressive if not more so! The built-in slanted brush allowed for easy and flawless application of the formula to my brows. I was able to outline and fill my bows in only a couple of strokes. On first application my brows looked natural and full and the more I built the formula the bolder the appearance of my brows.I was so impressed with both looks and I also received multiple compliments from my friends who all asked what product I had used! The product stayed in place on my brows all day long, without any smudging or fading whatsoever with it's texture even feeling lightweight & moisturising which I was thrilled about. I cannot think of a single negative with the paradise brow pomade. In my opinion, it is fantastic value for money and I would expect it to have come at a much higher price tag being how wonderful it is. I can only describe it as being overall, perfect! This product is lovely, it looks like a mini champagne bottle, it is a rosy gold colour and is easily spotted in my makeup bag. It separates into three sections: the top you have the brush, the next section unscrews to reveal the product in the base. It is easy to use; the brush is very fine which I like as it allows for precision application and it picks up the pomade well. The brush is slanted which allows application along the natural shape of the eyebrow. The colour applies darker than it looks in the base, which suited me as my eyebrows are very dark. I think this colour could be too dark for someone with fair eyebrows who wants a natural look. The product gives great definition to the eyebrow,it was easy to apply and allows for a great build-up of the eyebrow, giving a thicker look, which is a fashionable look at the moment, however a more natural look can also be achieved with very little effort. A little product goes a long way. The finish is more natural than other products I have used in the past. The product lasted all day which is great, there was no fading and it did not run which is something I have experienced in the past. I am very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it. A worthy 5 stars.

This is fabulous. I have always used eyebrow pencils, as a teenager back in day trying to achieve the "TWIGGY" effect I over plucked my eyebrows as was the fashion, to have thin eyebrows. Consequently I have sparse over plucked eyebrows so was really delighted to have this opportunity. To review this to see what improvement if any could be made to my lost cause eyebrows. This comes in a lovely little kit with a mirrored lid which is a standard mirror not magnified but adequate, a teeny tweezer which is good for plucking the odd stray hair but of as effective as a full sized one, an applicator which has a mascara style brush on the one end and an angled thin firm brush on the other.First of all I applied the brow wax,you do need to be generous with the amount your use to fully oat the brows, I used the angled side of the brush and then smoothed my brows back into shape with the other end. I then applied powder with the angled side again- you need to be more sparing with this powder. In short this is lovely piece of make up kit which would make a lovely present for the make up lover. Excellent value for money and leaves a far more polished and professional look than you could ever hope to achieve with an eyebrow pencil.

I love defined brows, so I was thrilled to try Paradise Pomade in shade 103 Chatain. I performed some serious "crash" tests, and now it is time for results. - Pomade is slightly harder than Anastasia dip brow, or MUA, but it applies nicely. The formula is more settled, a bit dry and not that super creamy, which in my opinion helps create precise strokes without too much mess.- Stays on whole day, and does not smear (pretty sure is water resistant as when I was caught in the rain nothing happened.)- Not fading, so once you apply it will stay all day long.- Nice, soft brush of reasonable size to create lovely arches. I found this particular brush cooperating better with the Paradise pomade then my Anastasia one with spooley.Surprised. - Nice shade. Not too dark, not too light. No ugly red undertones involved which are common in shades that need to oscillate in between blonde or brunette. - Buildable formula - easy to create the natural or bold look!So far so good. I will be using it every day as I am a bit darker on my hair at the moment. So far so good. I think product is good and worth try. It is budget friendly too which adds another to PROS! L’Oréal Paris Brow Pomade is a very nice product which brings much-needed definition plus it builds up your brows to your chosen thickness. I love first the look of the actual container which really has a rich appeal especially when it comes to the packaging. The applicator is included within the lid, it is a slim brush which has a certain thickness to the actual bristles which allows you to really work the product into the actual root of the eyebrow.I loved how easy it was to apply the product and with the added definition of the brow, this is one product I am very happy to recommend.L’Oréal Paris Brow Pomade is beautiful to use product which delivers first class thickness to the eyebrow which is very fashionable now.I also like how it simply adds more body to my now thin brows due to age and the dreaded menopause. I could apply it lightly using very fine strokes. Using this technique give my brow a very natural look and feel.Another reason I would purchase this product again is due to the fact I applied it first thing in the morning and with a couple of light touch ups through the day I was happy to report my brows look good all day.Happy to recommend.

L'Oreal Paris Brow Pomade - BrunetteThis is a glamorous little pot for your dressing table, but I wouldn't carry it round in my handbag, for a couple of reasons. First, the container is quite large and would take up a lot of room in your make-up bag. Second, the lid isn't held on with any sort of clasp or click so could easily be knocked off, exposing the brush in the lid. The pomade itself is a really good texture with good colour saturation, producing a good dark colour. It can be used lightly to enhance your own natural look or built up gradually with feathering strokes for a more dramatic, defined look. If this is your first time using pomade,I'd recommend taking a look online for instructional videos; I searched "How to use brow pomade" and found a really helpful video. You'll need to neaten your eyebrows first using a spoolie or other eyebrow brush, because the little applicator brush itself isn't going to do that. The slanted applicator brush in the lid is quite small, so you might want to use your own make-up brush. For sale at the time of writing this review at £9.99.

I've used various eyebrow pencils and powders but have never really been happy with the outcome; too heavy, too fiddly, no staying power...The L'Oreal brow pomade comes in quite bulky and cheap looking packaging. I expect the rose gold surface will rub off the plastic - it doesn't look particularly robust. But the product inside is really great. The handle of the bottle separates to reveal a short-handled brush. The brush is firm, and sharply angular, and holds its shape well. Then the bottom unscrews to reveal a small pot of a brown wax-like pomade. The brush picks the pomade up easily and is then perfect for applying it to eyebrows. The angular shape means that you can easily achieve good shaping in the corners and on the arch, but the pomade is applied with a feathery brushstroke effect, which looks quite natural - more so than my efforts with an eyebrow pencil. The effect is smart and natural. The effects last really well, without fading or smudging. Now my eyebrow product of choice.I have mid-dark brown hair, and black eyebrows, and the colour is just right for me.

This is the first time I have used one of thesePomades. I am delighted with the result of this L'OReal one in the blonde shade which is the perfect colour for my brows. I have over plucked brows as I was a seventies chick and as was the trend then over plucked my eyebrows and have struggled ever since.I have used eyebrow pencils for years with varying degrees of success and this was completely new to me. In two parts this is made up of the eyebrow brush and the powder which has a creamy like substance. The brush is superb taut enough to collect the powder and supple enough to glide over the eyebrows and give a natural made up effect to my brows.Much more professional than a pencil. The powder is easy to apply to the brush and you need very little to complete two eyebrows so making for excellent value for money as this is a product that will last a long while. Centre melt attractive to look at in a pinky champagne colour and look like a miniature bottle of wine or champagne.I am very impressed and will binning my eyebrow pencils and am a pomade convert. Ten out of ten.

I wasnt sure exactly what this was at the start. Inside the pot it looks like solid eyeliner! This is a well designed plastic pot of solid brown brow creme gel. The elongated lid is half shiny and half brushed copper finish (no idea why its two tone) The shiny half of the pot is actually a brush. You pull the lid apart and invert the brush back into the lid to make a longer handled brush. There is a protective plastic sheath over the slanted headed brush. The brush has a good shape for drawing in eyebrows. Its not the sort of brush to draw in individual hairs but it is good for adding thickness to brows. The thick cream itself has a tendency to be claggy so its best to wipe the brush on the edge of the pot to get rid of any chunks. The cream itself lasts well on the eyebrows and actually gives a nice finish (as long as you are careful to avoid lumps.I like this as its easy to add colour. I have some brow pencils that arnt that easy to get any colour out of. The colour is labelled as ebony and i would call it blackest dark brown. Its not quite black but it is nearly!
