Edit Jan 2019 - now almost 2 years down the line and still going strong. Also been using the shifter for a while so I'll add a short review of that at the endEdit Jan 2020 - now 3 years later and it's still working perfectly, not really run into any new issues that I can think of so still very much recommendedEdit September 2020 - After 3 and a half years, the potentiometer in the throttle has finally given out. However, if you have a soldering iron and a little experience this is pretty easy to fix, and the replacement part is pretty cheap. I honestly can't fault it too much though, potentiometers don't last forever and I used it a LOT in those 3 and a half years,and continue to use it after a fairly simple fix--------------I've held off on reviewing this because I wanted to give it a proper testing, and I've now been using this pretty heavily for a year (largely drifting on Assetto Corsa with some racing here and there, so it's gone through some pretty strenuous testing), and it's so far held up almost perfectly (more on that in a moment). I upgraded from a DFGT, and the FFB is a huge improvement from that, and having a clutch is a huge advantage. I would have liked a few more buttons though, the G29 is much more similar to the DFGT in terms of buttons but I chose this one because it looks less like a toy. Also, I really miss the stick shifter from the DFGT, it sucked as a shifter but it made a great hand brake so it would have been nice to see it return on this.The biggest problem I encountered is one I've seen a lot in the reviews, so it appears to be a fairly common fault, and that's that after a while the wheel started to develop a squeak when turning left. It was beyond the return period for Amazon however so I decided to just stick with it, it was irritating but the wheel still worked. HOWEVER, after a little while the squeak disappeared again, and it's now working perfectly, so my guess is it's just brand new bearings that needed to be broken in a little. If the problem comes back then I'll edit this, but so far so good.Another problem was the brake pedal. Some people despise the brake on this, saying it's impossible to use, and I'll admit that when I first got it I was basically unable to use the brakes because they were so stiff, I would press on it and my chair would just roll backwards. However, after some use (and jamming something behind the wheels of my chair, lol) the rubber bumper has softened up and I now don't have any real problems with it, I actually like the feel of it, because the amount of pressure required increases through the travel range you quickly learn to gauge how hard you need to press the pedal, rather than just how far, so it's a little more intuitive if you're used to real brakes (though it's important to note that it still doesn't feel like a real hydraulic brake pedal, it just behaves a little more like one than a simple sprung pedal). And if you don't like it, you can simply remove the rubber bumper and the pedals will be basically identical to the G27Another thing I noticed is that it does get a little hot when being used heavily. As I said earlier the main use it has seen has been drifting, which puts the motors under a lot more stress than usual, and I have noticed that the casing can start to become a little warm, though so far it hasn't caused any problems, I just let it cool down for a minute or so every now and then if it's being used heavily.Using it on Win 10 as well, I saw a few 1 star reviews saying it doesn't work on Win 10 but I assure you that it does, and has done flawlessly for the past year.All in all, while this wheel did have a few problems, I would probably still recommend it, you could buy a cheaper wheel but they're generally not worth it. Another decent alternative in the same price bracket is the Thrustmaster TMX Pro. Both are good choices (Edit - the TMX Pro is now pretty expensive compared to this)I also bought the shifter that you can get for this, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it for the price. It did initially feel a little flimsy, but after almost a year of use it still hasn't failed at all. The amount of force required is nothing compared to a real shifter, and you obviously can't feel when the gear doesn't engage properly (though that is a fault common to basically every shifter), so it doesn't feel entirely realistic, but it is so much more immersive using it, even if using the paddles is slightly faster it's worth it for the sense of really driving the car that it gives you. For the shifter alone I would probably also give it 4 stars, with the caveat that if you want as much realism as possible then this probably isn't for you since it does feel so light, so probably 2-3 stars for someone only concerned with realism

Logitech G923 Racing Wheel and Pedals for Playstation PS4 and PC.I set this up on the PC so the review is based on using this G923 on the PC and not on a PS4.If you want to amaze your kids then treat them to this racing wheel, its the closest they'll get to actually driving for real at home and with the Trueforce technology you actually do feel every shift, drift and hairpin turn. Highly recommended.In Detail:My first thoughts on this G923 was that it's another sim racing wheel which tries to be like the real thing but never cuts the mark like the rest of 'em". Well I was going to be proved wrong and I was actually impressed by just how realistic it was. The quality of the build is really fantastic and there is no chance this wheels going to break, the quality is probably better than my own cars wheel :). The wheel is finished in stitched leather and the pedals are pure metal. The pedal floor base has rubber sections for gripping on hard floors which works 100%. There is also a retractable carpet gripper for use on carpets. The wheel has a ton of controls on the front and once the wheel is attached to the desk via the clamps it is really sturdy and looks the biz. The clamps do let an otherwise outstanding wheel down as I really had to put some force into tightening them ensuring the wheel wouldn't come off as the clamps are just grooved plastic.The pedal base plugs into the wheel via quite a long cable, the power supply cable is permanently attached to the base of the wheel and this plugs into an external power supply which in turns has a separate mains power lead. Another lead plugs into the wheel base to attach to your computer via USB socket.The G Hub software allows for customisation of the wheel functionality, sensitivity levels and force feedback which I downloaded off the manufacturers site. The first game I tried was Beamng and I had to tinker with the controls to get this working but once I had it was impressive but I wasn't blown away, my son enjoyed trying it though for a while at least.Now, to really get the best out of this G923 I needed a Trueforce game which at the moment there are only a handful. So my son chose Assetto Corsa which I downloaded and put this wheel to the test. The game settings didn't show the G923 racing wheel in its preconfigured list which was strange. The closest to it was the G920 which didn't work with the wheel. So I chose the configuration wizard and after going through all the steps the game then recognised the wheel as the G923, a bit of a palaver.Anyhow, straight into the game and it was totally awesome. It was so realistic, I could actually feel all the bumps on the circuit, the skids, the whole lot. Absolutely life like! Apparently the G923 is tied into the game so that any stone you drive over is instantaneously felt on the wheel. Just keeping on the realism of the wheel, it was like having power steering, each turn on the circuit was immediately felt, letting go of the wheel at high speed and the wheel turned and twisted on its own like it would in a real car. if I had closed my eyes I would of thought I was actually driving.The pedals were just as realistic to a degree, the metal plates are a good touch. The base non slip features prevented the pedals moving no matter how hard I stamped on the accelerator or tried to stop via the brake which by the way had progressive braking, crazy right? I would of liked to of had some game physics feedback on the pedals just like the steering wheel but you can't have it all.There is a whole lot more to this racing wheel which would literally take ages to go into but on the initial experience its totally worth £350.00. Oh, my son by the way thinks this racing wheel is 'epically awesome' when he played Assetto Corsa using Trueforce and I probably won't get a look in now!

Originally, I purchased the G920 wheel for use on Windows 10 without the gear shifter. As I used it for F1 2017, this was perfectly fine as gears are switched using the LB and RB padals behind the wheel in the game, just like in an F1 car. It was also fine for Euro Truck Simulator 2 as the trucks have 12 to 18 gears on them. The wheel and pedals work brilliantly with both games, and all in game menus can be traversed with the wheel as it also doubles as a controller. You can never go back to playing with a controller once you've used a good wheel in racing games. It totally transforms the experience for the better.On playing Forza Motorsport 7 and Project Cars II,I realised that the gear shifter would add another dimension again. And again, once you've used a gear stick in racing games, it's hard to go back to not using one! It totally transforms the experience for the better. Can't wait for Forza Horizon 4 now! I feel like a kid playing Daytona USA in the arcades in the 90's again!! Priceless.So it's a good buy, no question. However there are some caveats that you should be aware of.You need to attach the wheel to a table, desk or something. It's very easy to do as the wheel has built in clamps on the underside to fix to such a thing. But you need such a thing, or else you wont be able to use it.The pedals have no grip on the bottom of the unit. They will slide when you press them on a wooden floor or thin carpet making them unusable unless you sort out some kind of fix to stop them sliding.The clutch and accelerator pedals are easy to press. The brake requires more force and a bit of getting used to. Don't get me wrong, it works well, attempting to emulate pressure required to slow a moving car, but you need to get used to it at first. After quickly realising the pedals slid without a fix, and fixing it, I nearly toppled the chair back I pressed so hard braking late on F1 2017! It's not a fault. You just need to work out how hard you should be pressing it for effective game play. It actually works very well once you get going. Teenager and above would be fine, but smaller kids may struggle pressing the brake pedal effectively. My kids are 8 and 10 and they struggle. But that's partly because they can't drive and always go flat out on the accelerator and brake way way too late! Personally, I would say the brake works well, and the resistance in pressing is an excellent feature. My kids would disagree. Fortunately, you can change what the pedals do easily, so I have made the clutch the brake for them instead. They prefer automatic anyway.The shifter has 6 gears, and a reverse gear. To access reverse, not obvious on first use, you need to depress the stick in neutral when the car is stationary before moving right and then down. The shifter adds a brilliant new dimension to the game play and control of the cars with the pedals. I see the dilemma for making a cost effective H shifter for gaming as this is. Many cars in Forza / Project cars have up to 8 gears. Many only have 5. 6 gears, 1 to 6, is a good balance for a default setting in a game that covers hundreds of cars. You can use the padals behind the wheels to go past 6th gear when needed. Euro Truck Simulator goes up 2 gears in each position which works well depending on the truck you are driving (they can go from 9 to 18 gears!). It also allows a shift key to make 1 to 6, 7 to 12 and vise versa. That's not really down to the manufacturer, Unless you want to buy an 18 position H shifter? They have provided a cost effective H shifter with 6 positions on it and a reverse to connect to your wheel and pedals. And I can say it works well for most instances. For the instances that it doesn't cover, there is usually an easy software work around with the controller buttons. As I prefer racing around in the older cars in games, pretending I'm James Bond in a DB5 for instance, it works a treat for me! For a 5 or 6 gear car, it's perfect!To conclude I spent around £200 for a gaming wheel with gear padals, 3 pedals, and a 6 position H shifter with a reverse gear. Am I happy with the purchase? Yes. Does it improve the gaming experience? Yes, immeasurably - you can't go back. Do I feel I got my money's worth? Yes. Is it perfect? No. But it depends on what you are after. For me, and most, it's a perfectly good and highly enjoyable solution. Just make sure you have something to attach it to and can stop the pedals sliding across the floor! I have long been a gamer, albeit a casual one. I have owned a few gaming wheels over the years, including a budget one for my ps1 many years ago, and the speed wheel for my xbox 360. Having not owned one for many years, when I got the opportunity to test this brand new Logitech, I couldn't wait. It looked so good in the images, and the price tag suggested I was in for a treat, as something so expensive (at least to me) wasn't going to let me down. I eagerly waited for it to arrive, and when it did, I was amazed by the size and weight of the box. The box was well presented and looked very smart with greys and blues and embossing. Inside I found the wheel, the pedals, an adapter and additional cables for set up.There were absolutely no instructions in the box aside from an a4 sheet of paper with diagrams on how to connect the cables. This process was straight forward enough, and I soon had it up and running. First of all, I was astonished by the quality. For the price, I would have expected nothing less. The wheel is heavy and sturdy, and the leather and brushed aluminium feels very premium, and even better than some steering wheels in cars feel. The pedals too are a great size and feel very high quality. The brushed metal pedals and foot rest are fantastic. As for the quality and aesthetic, I would give this set a five stars, as it truly does look beautiful. I set the wheel up on my ps4, and not owning any car games at that current moment in time aside from drive club, I downloaded project cars 2. I couldn't wait to get started. The wheel began moving as it calibrated itself, and the led light panel flashed, and it all looked brilliant, and unlike any wheel I had owned before. My first hurdle however, was set up. This can't be used on your lap like my old wheel, and it needs to be clamped to a table. I unfortunately don't own a professional set up, so I had to improvise and use a plastic table. This meant the wheel wasn't as stable as it could be, I also tried a lap mat but that too wasn't the best. So, in order to get the best experience it seems I'm going to have to spend £100 or more, in order to set the wheel up without it moving. I loaded the game up regardless, and with the set up I had managed to achieve I began to test it. I wanted to feel this force feedback that was the selling point of this wheel. I didn't change any game settings to begin with, as I'm a casual gamer, and not too clued up on changing individual settings. I began my first race, and the first thing that threw me, was the fact that the wheel began jumping around erratically without me even touching it. I don't know if that is normal, but throughout the race, I felt as if I was working against the wheel, and that doesn't happen in a real car. It was almost as if it was driving itself. Another gripe, is the brake pedal. After prolonged use, the top of my foot and my ankle were aching, as the pedal is so stiff and hard to press. Without the added carpet grip, it would have been moving all over the place due to the levels of force required to push the pedal down, although I have noticed over time that this is easing up and isn't so stiff. As for handling, I just couldn't get this wheel to work with project cars, I tried my hand at changing settings but no matter what I tried, the car was jumping all over the place, and when I picked up any speed I would crash. I just couldn't get the wheel to handle properly. I also downloaded dirt 2.0 to make sure the game wasn't the issue, but even on dirt, the wheel was uncontrollable. The wheel lurched around from side to side, and I had to keep turning force feedback off as I just couldn't get used to it. As a last resort, I downloaded gran turismo sport, as this game is called the real driving simulator, so if didn't work with this, it wouldn't work with anything. Much to my relief, the wheel is superb with gran turismo. It feels so realistic and the handling is a true pleasure, and I really did enjoy using it. The wheel looks and feels great, and it made me feel as though I was really in the game, feeling everything beneath the tyres. I am a little disappointed that I could only get it to work well with one game though, as over £300 for a wheel is costly if it doesn't work with many games. For gran turismo sport though, this wheel really heightens the experience, and takes it to a new level. If you are looking for a new wheel, and you love gran turismo, then this is the one for you. I highly recommend it.

The G920 is the first generation of Logitech force feedback wheels to be for the Xbox and PC rather than Playstation and PC. The main difference this makes is that the buttons and other controls on the G920 are the Xbox One joypad's laid out over the wheel instead of Playstation 2/3/4 controls. Since Microsoft are finally getting around to properly unifying the Windows experience across all platforms (console, phone, tablet, PC) it makes sense for Logitech and other third party manufacturers to follow along.Now you might think that since Microsoft are unifying everything the experience of using the G920 on Xbox and PC would be identical, but it isn't. On the Xbox One the experience with the wheel is essentially perfect.Once you have got the wheel, pedals, power supply and cables out the box and connected them up it all just works. There is nothing to fault with the experience of using the G920 on Xbox unless you are extremely picky about the minimal paperwork included in the box. The only warning you need is to remember to keep your thumbs outside the wheel because the motors in it are powerful. So it is a very obvious five stars for the G920 if you buy it to use with your Xbox One.On PC things are a bit more complicated. When you are setting up the wheel with your PC you will need to visit the Logitech website to download the Logitech Gaming Software (the web address is on a piece of paper in the box) and you will probably also want to download the latest firmware upgrade for the wheel if yours does not come with the current firmware already installed. After you have done all that you can start to think about playing games.At the time of writing the G920 hasn't been out for very long and that means there are teething problems with some games. For example, on GRiD 2 I have had some very strange behaviour in the menus, but once in game the wheel does work well. At least it does after I spent a fair amount of time tweaking things such as the range of motion. I expect the problems I encountered with GRiD 2 to get sorted out in time with patches. By contrast I got the G920 working perfectly in DiRT 3 with only the bare minimum of setup. But having checked the forums I saw that people had problems with it early on and Codemasters had already patched the game to fix the problems before I had tried the wheel.At the time of writing Assetto Corsa shows how things are very well. In the control menu there are templates for earlier Logitech wheels (I was using the Logitech G27 before I got the G920) and it was very simple to just select the G27 template of choice (with gearstick or without) and be right into the game immediately. There is no template for the G920 yet, so you have to set it up yourself. That's not hard though, it just takes a few minutes. As long as you remember to tick the boxes to invert the accelerator, brake, and clutch pedal axes you are golden. Then in game the G920 works essentially the same as the G27 does. It gives your arms a good workout!Despite the small niggles with some PC games, and having to spend time setting the wheel up on PC the G920 is still worth five stars because I can see that in a reasonably short stretch of time things will all get sorted with patches and game templates will come out. The basics, the way the wheel handles and the way the pedals work and so on are just as solid as previous generations of Logitech force feedback wheels. Which is not surprising since the guts are essentially the same. Logitech have done it again and turned out another fantastic wheel by not really changing any of the fundamentals. And once you have used one you won't want to go back to playing driving games with a joypad.Addendum:Since writing the review the Assetto Corsa PC game has been patched and does now include a template for the G920, making setup and use in game extremely easy.I should also add that force feedback wheels such as the G920 do have powerful motors, so you cannot use them on your lap. You do need to anchor them securely to be able to use them properly. Whilst it is possible to use the clamps on the wheel to fix it pretty securely to a desk or table, a generally better solution is to buy a suitable stand which you can securely screw the wheel and pedals to. The Logitech G923 - **This is an In-depth review - SKIP to the BOTTOM for it in a nutshell**So, it's no secret that we like racing. We decided to do a direct comparison between the G29 and the new G923. If you're planning for an upgrade or if you just can't decide between the two and whether the newest is worth the extra cost. Then here you will see what you're going to get for your cash.On the face of it, the two look almost identical and they pretty much are, aesthetically speaking. The old one is sleek, stylish and ergonomic and felt great in my grasp. So if the style works for Logitech, why change it?This version suits both, playstation and PC. For the PC version,all is programmable using Logitech's G-hub utility software from tweeting macro functions to drag and drop customisations.There is also the Xbox version to this wheel. The button layout for which, is identical to the playstation/PC model, unlike the G920 to G29 models in the older version.There's now a cooler looking G logo in the centre of the steering wheel which replaces the playstation logo, which is an obvious change to design of the wheel.On this new model, there is no dedicated switch to transfer between the two platforms (ie playstation/PC), instead, it automatically switches to the correct platform when you've plugged it in.We still see shift lights on the wheel, but now in a slightly different colour scheme, with now a selection of green, red and blue.The latch mechanism to secure the housing to your desk is still made from plastic. I was hoping this time around, it would be metal as the legs are sometimes prone cracking. Though there are still the mounting holes for attachment this way too. The build quality is still fantastic overall. The frame is made on the most part, out of metal and the rest of the housing is moulded from quality plastic.The pedals are completely the same in design and function as the ones on the G29. The only difference is the logo now appears only as a 'G', instead of the entire Logitech name on the older model.● So What's Changed?Though it still does not offer direct drive system, particularly at this price, they have implemented the change with a new feature that tightens the whole feedback experience with a function called TrueForce.The two motor setup of the past model and with this one, now translates your force and takes in your input with a big gear attached to the rear of the wheel, with the aid of the rack and gear system as the stabiliser. Delivering more feedback and overall feel. What it transpires to, is that you get a more lucid gaming experience with the immersive mechanical vibrations and feedback when the whole chasis is strumming from the kick back from the virtual engine and tyres.At the moment, not a lot of games support this feature, which is something perhaps to bear in mind, particularly on PCs, but this is likely to change in the near future. In the console, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Gran Turismo Sports do support this. Games that plan to support this in the near future are Dirt, F1 Series and iRacing. I have no doubt many other racing games will soon jump on the bandwagon too, to support this feature rich wheel.In terms of functionality, it doesn't vary a great deal over the predecessor, but it does hype the immersiveness up a whole bunch. It is a very worthy update to the older model. The wheel still does it's funky calibration "dance" once you plug the USB and power. As it's wholly a gear driven wheel, you do have more apparent force feedback.● In a Nutshell:If you're planning to upgrade from a model from a few generations back, such as the G25 or G27, this will have a massively different feel and a comparatively feature rich transition.On the same note, if you have a G29 model and it's work fine, then an upgrade to this model will not prove to be such a huge change from what you already have. Except possibly, if you really fancy your hand at the immersive TrueForce.I do think that the G29 and now, the G923 are some of the best in category wheels you can get for value for your money if you take racing as seriously as we do, before you take the ultimate next step and purchase a hardcore Direct Drive System like those from Simucube.Absolutely 5 stars.Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found this useful.

Stunning performance, Trueforce for more realistic sims gaming, but very unpleasant cable managementI have been using this daily for the last week now and I am stunned by the performance of the wheel and pedals. I mainly used it to play F1 2020 but also tried other games briefly like Euro Truck Sim. I am a big fan of car/plane simulations and this wheel just adds to my obsession with car racing. I recently switched all the way to car racing and sims and left other games like RDR2 on the ‘ignore for a while’ list.• Design and Build:Okay let’s start with the design and build quality. The wheel in particular feels like an actual car wheel, just a bit smaller for better management.When held with hands the grip feels really sturdy and gives a feeling of solidity and durability. There is some leather covering the wheel which I find very considerate as it adds more charm and merges well with the plastic parts. The centre is packed with various buttons that mimic a F1 wheel but also look like a joystick. Just behind the wheel are the metal gear controllers. These seem like the sturdiest part in the wheel and give a nice feeling while driving. Overall, the design is very sleek and simple. I like that it doesn’t have many colours but rather resorts to the basics, which in my view is better than colourful wheels I have tried before. The pedals feel equally solid and provide enough room for the foot to rest while pressing the pedals. The foot resting surface is not very soft but rather textured with little holes for a better grip. The brakes stiffness is way harder than the other two pedals and this is way better than the predecessors (G29, G920) in terms of mimicking a real car brake.• Setup and Performance:The setup is very easy. I started by downloading the Logitech G Hub. You just need to google it and the first result will direct you to the relevant website. The download and installation take sometime but once done everything becomes easy and quick. The software identifies the wheel directly, but if it doesn’t just unplug the USB and re-plug it. The wheel model will appear on the screen, you just need to click on it and then go to the setup to adjust sensitivity or other options (Like macros). Once done the wheel was identified by my games, especially F1 2020 which, surprisingly, worked flawlessly with true force technology!Attaching the wheel to a desk might be tricky if the desk surface is very soft like mine. It really requires serious tightening of the adjustment screws for it to stay fitted properly. I managed to unscrew it 3-4 times while playing but afterwards I got used to it. While playing F1 2020 with true force on the wheel becomes very stiff which I like. However, you can adjust that in the control and vibration settings. True force is just amazing, it made me experience racing more in depth as it mimics what drivers encounter during the race and how they feel when they brake, go off track or crash. In comparison to the predecessors, this is just another level.While not clearly mentioned in the website, this wheel now works perfectly with F1 2020 as true force is flawless. Other supported games are mentioned in the website (Grid, iRacing, etc.).• Downsides and Verdict:The only downside of this wheel is cable management when fitted on a desk. The way cables are attached and fitted to this one show that the manufacturers clearly designed it with a wheel stand in mind, rather than a desk surface. The cables are attached beneath the wheel which is uncomfortable when attached on a desk. The pedals cable feels a bit fragile and I am always afraid that I might ruin it when I am racing as it is constantly pressed against the wall. So in my view this wheel’s optimal configuration would require a stand with it.All in all, I am really happy with the look, design, build quality, leather touch, setup, and performance. This wheel has changed my gaming experience and made car sims feel more realistic. If you are deciding between this and the predecessors, then go for this as it is worth it. If you already have the predecessor and think to upgrade, then I am not sure whether you should go for it or not. I am not sure whether you will be able to feel and appreciate the difference. I have never had the opportunity to play racing games with a steering wheel, and I knew that the keyboard was not the way to enjoy these types of games, but I never could justify the asking price of the racing wheels. I do know that there are cheaper products on the market but I know also from the reviews that they are not really that good. I got the Logitech G923 without shifter for review and at the time of the writing of the review, it costs £350, with a shifter it is £400. The shifter is the same as the one for G29/G920 and it costs £45, so it is cheaper to buy it separately.Upon taking the product out of the box it is immediately noticeable that the build quality is excellent,it is even better than the car I used to own, the wheel is wrapped in leather cover, the paddle shifters and the pedals are made out of steel, the whole chassis is built out of durable plastic, buttons are inaudible and not mushy. When it comes to the build quality this is a wheel to choose.The wheel does work out of the box, but it is not well supported in games, so I had to download the Logitech G Hub, upon installing it the PC had to be restarted to complete the driver installation. Afterwards, the wheel was better detected by the games, at least the controls could be correctly mapped, although, I would have preferred if I didn't have to map the controls for every game as it can become tedious, especially if you reset the layout without having the ability to save your profile. For the racing games I do own (F1 2018, Grid 2, Dirt Rally), there is very little support, and there are no Steam Workshop configurations available, the wheel layout is very similar to G920 but the sensors might require different tuning parameters than the G920. The wheel and the pedals have to be tweaked as the default values are just too strong, the force feedback is too violent and the wheel would emit loud noises which got me worried and the sensitivity of pedals is a bit too weak. So I had to play with them on my own which took a lot of time and is again quite tedious, I would like a product that works well out of the box, I know this wheel is maybe not intended for beginners but it would be better if it was a bit more accessible as it is one of the best wheels out there. The wheel has two levels of configuration, one inside of the G Hub and the other within each game.As for the gameplay, the wheel provides incredible experience, however, in some games the sensitivity was a bit off and the wheel wouldn't register small changes and would start reacting at 10 - 20 degrees. The force feedback can at times be so strong as to make the motor inside grind, and by default is too strong and would give too much feedback so it had to be tuned down in every game. The pedals feel great, but the brake is way too strong, my colleague said that players prefer strong brake pedal, but even he agreed that it is too strong if you play in an office/gaming chair you can easily push yourself backwards if you depress the pedal fully. Also, the rubber feet, in that case, provide too little friction and the pedals too get pushed away when pressing on the brakes. It would be great if they offered a mechanical tuning to adjust the resistance of the pedals to your liking, not just software tuning.Overall, with all these small issues that can be easily tuned, I still had great fun and I enjoyed playing games with this setup. If you already own the Logitech wheel I would suggest sticking with them, and if you are considering buying you first one then this might be a good option. Do note that support is a still patchy at best, and only the new games will support this wheel fully.

A truly realistic driving experience brought to you by Logitech’s new G923 Steering Wheels and Pedals! I have been using these with my PC (playing GRID which is fully supported) and it has been a super fun and immersive experience! Although not all PC/PlayStation/Xbox games are supported yet (please see list of supported games on Logitechs website under G923), more games are in the works to be compatible, and I’m assuming will soon be the norm for racing and driving games! If you are planning to use on a PC, you must download the G-Hub Logitech software (free on their website) which will allow you to sync and fully customise both the steering wheel and pedal.You’re able to save individual presets for your favourite games as well as change settings such as sensitivity and toggle on/off Trueforce. Trueforce seriously brings your driving experience to life thanks to realistic vibrations and sound effects that radiate from the steering wheel.Speaking of the steering wheel, it is incredibly comfortable thanks to its leather material and hence, easy to grip when driving. You have plenty of hotkeys and buttons you can customise to really utilise and make your driving experience feel as natural as possible. The steering wheel can be easily hooked onto any table and locked into place. I’ve had no issues with it slipping off of the table (nor damaging the table) during races: just ensure it’s secured tightly.As for the pedals, they seriously are well built and are perfect for all floor types. If you have a wood/tile flooring, the rubber grips under the base will keep it secure, and if you’re like me and have a carpet flooring, a flick of a switch under the base of the pedals will cause a spikey platform to pop up and stick into your carpet, preventing the pedals from slipping around during your hardcore races. Just make sure to pick up the pedals and not drag it on the carpet to avoid it from damaging the carpet due to the spikes. This platform can be pushed back into the base of the pedals to keep it hidden and away from your fingers when not in use. The pedal material itself is comfortable to push on and didn’t hurt my feet, despite having on socks and not shoes.The steering wheel and pedals were easy to setup. Just plug the pedals into the steering wheel (plugs can be found under the base of the steering wheel). And do the same with the steering wheel to your PC and into the mains. I did find that one con of this product was keeping a healthy cable management in place. There are loops and pockets integrated into the steering wheel to help facilitate this, but not the same can be said with the pedals, and you’re more than likely to have a few cables dangling around, unless you can think of a way to hide this. However this didn’t bother me much as it didn’t interfere with my driving experience.Overall, I am so pleased with the Logitech G923, every attribute was well thought out and has helped provide a great range of customisability tailored to you and your gaming experience thanks to the UI/UX friendly G-Hub software. This driving accessory is probably the closest you’ll get to driving a real car so it would be great for everyone who wants to get a feel for the wheel before they eventually get their hands on their licenses. (Or if you’re like me, just have a need for speed and want to drift around the canals of Italy, legally of course ;)). I ordered this Logitech G923 Racing Wheel and Pedals set primarily for my son, who is an avid gamer and has been for many years since I first introduced him to Sonic The Hedgehog lol. He has a PlayStation PS4 so this brand new Logitech G923 would be ideal to use with it, though it can also be used on a gaming PC. This set comes with a steering wheel system that has all the usual functions on the PS4 controller plus a few more including a light up rev accelerator and left and right paddles for manual gear control. It looks a quality build with a leather clad steering wheel, the right size for a racing car. The pedals are made of strong stainless steel with a clutch for manual gear changes,a brake that also works as a reverse with a long press, and an accelerator on the right as per UK standard cars. It doesn’t have a gear shift but with the steering wheel pedals it doesn’t need them. What the steering wheel does have though is incredible technology onboard, I mean seriously incredible real time technology that has the WOW! Factor.The steering wheel is designed to be clamped onto a desk or table with easily adjustable clamps as the base, no screwdriver required. The pedals are heavy and do not move on wood floors and also come with a carpet grip underneath to ensure it doesn’t move on carpet. The steering wheel does need to be clamped down to a table, desk or stand especially designed for it to sit on, due to the incredible Trueforce High Definition 1000 HZ you just won’t be able to control it without it clamped, it’s awesomely powerful. Plus to experience the immersive experience of driving real time, it needs to be fixed firmly. On my initial video I couldn’t clamp it to my oak kitchen table, due to the table top being too thick for the clamps, but it will fit onto most tables and desks without an issue.It’s easy to set up, even a complete novice like me did so in minutes to my son’s PlayStation PS4 to a TV. My son had already downloaded a compatible PS4 game F1 2020 so I was ready to trial this Logitech G923 out. Well I am blown away. It’s an amazing immersive experience. The sounds, the responsive feel of of the wheel, the pedals are super sensitive, the torque on the wheel is strong, as you’d expect in a racing car. Though you can of course customise everything to suit you which is great, especially for younger children. I found it easy to use the brake, it wasn’t stiff as I thought it might be, I was able to control the car, even as a newbie to racing games. My hubby tried it too and has been converted to gaming, who knew an online racing game could be so much fun? Honestly, it’s so real it feels like driving, only a whole lot faster. The Trueforce feedback technology is incredible, it’s precision design is super fast and super powerful. It has a dual clutch that’s programmable so you can accelerate faster than ever before. You can design and customise it too, giving you a complete driving experience that’s exhilarating. My son tells me it’s head and shoulders above anything else he has tried, he’s hugely impressed by it, though tells me Logitech has the best quality build and technology. It’s not cheap, but it’s packed with amazing features that would thrill any PS4 gamer. As soon as I saw the box I knew this driving system was going to be the real deal. I'm not really a race driver but probably because I care too much about my car.Size wise this system is almost a real size replica of a racing car console (without the dials). The wheel feels nice and thick, real leather and good quality (a bit tightly wrapped around the wheel but still feeling nice - probably for increased durability). The paddles have a metal touch and nice clicking noise. On the wheel you have all the buttons you get in a fully functional PS4 controller - and some more.The pedalboard is made of a very solid piece of plastic with space for your feet. Pedals are made of shiny chrome metal,with a proper racing look. They are very durable, especially the brake which is even a bit tight (you can adjust the reaction time in options for every game).The set is quite heavy so make sure you have a good, solid desk to attach the wheel console. You have quite wide mounts to do that, with two knobs just behind the wheel to tighten or loosen the grip. Surprisingly there is raw plastic on both sides of the grips. I didn't want any scratches on my new desk so just attached some cork patches on both sides - worked perfectly.Installation is really simple. All you have to do is set the pedalboard underneath the desk, connect it to the wheel console, mount the wheel console and plug the USB cable to your PS4. Oh and don't be like me and forget to plug the power into the socket. Otherwise you'll be wondering why everything works apart from the actual steering…I like the racing approach. My real car is a sports version of a regular car and has paddles. I love using them where I can. But when I turn the key into ignition position, both my dials move to max position and then back. Silly thing but makes me smile every time. Well in this set when you turn the console on, the wheel calibrates itself by turning vigorously all the way left and then all the way right. Super awesome!The gaming experience...I mentioned the pedals intensity and reaction times can be adjusted in the game. Same goes for wheel feedback. Because it is powerful. In 'real' mode, unless you put a tight grip on the wheel, it will become alive on its own!Steering is very reactive. You can see that on the video - the wheel movements are almost directly reflected in the game. The feedback will make you feel every bump on the road. If you ride onto a band head on, trust me you'll feel it in your hands.There is a LED RPM indicator just above the center of the wheel. It's a really cool, colorful set of lights which allows you to match the gear shifting more precisely.It is a tough decision whether it's worth getting this set. Because it's really expensive. Don't get me wrong - it fully deserves the price. There's loads of very precise technology and effort put in this racing set. It is a 'dream come true' present for your child up to their late teenage years. I'm now in a 'career making' age and it still gives me lots of joy. If you're really into racing/driving games, you will not want to go back anymore to your normal game controller for car games. Plus you can trust the brand - after all it's Logitech. Apart from Arcades, I have not been not been a regular player of racing games. I have tried it a few times on my PC and my phone as well but it has always felt a bit lacking compared to driving a car. I have tried a few free games on my XBOX as well but have not used anything like this steering wheel which would enhance the gameplay and provide a sense of real race car driving. I was really excited to try this steering wheel and foot pedal combination and I was really shocked by how much I enjoyed it.When it came, I got really taken aback by the size of the box as I was not expecting it to be this big and heavy. Once I opened it, I realised that it is a really premium built controller specifically designed to enjoy racing games.All through out, I could feel the premium materials which have been used including faux leather grip on the steering to the metal pedals. I really liked the design of the pedals and when I tried to press them without even connecting to the XBOX or any power the pedals had a lot of resistance. This is quite similar to what I experience in my car which made me really excited to try these out.The whole setup is very easy but takes some time to ensure everything is secured properly so that the parts don't move during gameplay and ruin the fun. There are simple instructions included, but really the device is complete plug and play, connecting to the XBOX just by USB.The steering wheel can be attached to a table and I did try it with our dining table but that didn't work as it was rounded edges and the wheel clips did not hook on. I managed to finally get it setup on our coffee table but as it not the right height I had to increase its height by placing a few books under the table legs. I might have to buy a taller portable table just for this as I havent been able to replicate the same setup since the first time I played.Similar to the issue with the wheel, it would have been easier if the pedals also had some sort of mechanism to keep them steady on the floor. I have felt that sometimes they do slide if I apply too much pressure which I have to do due to the resistance while pushing the pedal. Again, I would recommend having the properly chair to secure these to. Other than that, I cannot fault this unit at all.All of these shortcomings were forgiven as soon as I started using this. The steering wheel feels sturdy and responsive. The vibration feedback is really accurate and provides a almost life like feeling of the race. This really helps to make the gameplay more interesting and engaging.I have used this steering wheel with a couple of games now and it works perfectly each time with gear changes and clutch working well. OK, my first ever racing wheel for a car sim. Bought the whole thing with shifter. Saving 6 months after buying Project cars until I could afford it.It's a very nice strong looking wheel set up. Muted dark colours which I like, except for the XYAB colour buttons, the only bit that gives it a 'toyish' look. There's also an 'X` for Xbox use, I guess (I'm using this for PC). Looks solid and made for adults to handle. It has several buttons on the front. Wheel seems too small though, bigger would be nicer, but it does feel quality.Now considering I'm a complete noob to this kit, it was very easy to set up even without instructions. I clamped the items to my table. I just plugged in the pedals and shifter into the wheel's ports,then the USB connector into the pc. I finally plugged in the wheel power and switched on.The wheel goes through this "I AM AWAKE! FEAR ME!" robot monster routine where it spins 360 back and forth as it calibrates itself. This can be quite shocking as it's a powerful action, shaking the table it's clamped on. Fine for adults, but you don't want any little fingers near it when it goes through its wake up routine. Personally, I like it. Dramatic!(But, really, don't let little kids near it on start up! And it does this on every start).Started Project Cars 2 which I'd been saving for months since a joypad just wasn't doing it justice. PC2 saw and took the wheel instantly. I just needed to do a quick calibration in the PC2 settings to make sure all was set and I was off!I ran the game in full realism mode which meant no huds, dry start switching on the engine, using the clutch, power and shifters and it works a treat! Did several practise runs and loved it. Heck, even stalled the car like a noob! The force feedback runs very well and quite strongly though I noticed I could up the feedback in several ways in the game settings. Great.Tried Eurotruck Simulator:This was a little more of a problem. Took ages fiddling and faffing, before I finally got everything working. This sim doesn't detect everything easily, especially the shifter, it even had stuff backwards and I had to go through it and manually select everything in the sim settings. This is not the Wheel's fault but the way the Dev's set up the sim itself.Anyway, finally got running on a few deliveries and it was a couple of hours by the time I was done. Definitely immersive and a heck of a lot more enjoyable (and even easier, I'd say) than using a joypad.Couple of negatives I noticed while using the wheel and shifter...The shifter keeps slipping off the table, especially when I pull into any gear that causes me to pull the stick. Trying different ways to get it to hold onto the table, such as a plastic wad under it, which works better.The pedals again moves, so I had to wedge my toolbox infront of it to keep it still. There is a grip nub under it, but this didn't really work that well for me, my floor is too smooth.The wheel itself stays on the desk. No probs there.So to sum up. Good kit. Very strong. Works very well depending on sim/game/racer and only slips a little (the shifter and pedals)..

This is what you need!This is the Logitech G923 Racing Wheel and pedals, with trueforce upto 1000hz force feedback, dual clutch launch control for the Xbox One / PC also available for the PlayStation.The wheel is gorgeous in jet black with leather cover, blue aluminium centre marker, steel flappy paddle gear shifts, LED light rev indicator, all the Xbox controller buttons, a 24 point selector to finely tune your settings, bottom table clamps and the finishing is superb! The pedals are on a jet black base with 3 x brushed metal pedals (clutch,brake and accelerator). It reeks quality and class.Out of the box you get one wheel, pedal set, power cable / brick and a USB cable.Installation on the Xbox is easy, connect power lead to wheel (and to mains), connect lead between pedals and wheel, clamp wheel to a stable surface via tightening screws and connect the USB lead to the rear of the Xbox, you have the choice of two. If you are playing further than four feet from the screen I would recommend a USB male to female extension or you might struggle.Once this is all connected load up your favourite game (mine was Forza) then watch as the wheel calibrates itself. This is freaky and sooooo mesmerising.On the PC this will be all done with help from the Logitech Hub dash.Right now you are all set up, it is good to go! I would suggest you ensure your table is sturdy, you will see what I mean if its not haha. You'll be on the floor!Using the wheel is a massive adrenaline rush, as I am more of a controller bloke, so steering wheel is normally arcades only, but I've bought the arcade to my home! The one thing I noticed it is a bit too real for my liking, I have owned an automatic performance car and this so reminds me of it. Just put yer foot down and feel the response from the wheel, it is outstanding. Go off the track slightly and you feel every contour of the rough. And as for spinning out, the realism is incredible. Round every turn you are in battle with the forces to get your lump of metal round that corner, unbelievable. The pedals are great, I am not using the clutch, so one foot on gas and other on the brake. If you owned an automatic you'd understand. Not what they teach you in lessons ha.I am slowly improving with each go, as playing with a wheel is so different to controller, and a lot more stressful. Just glad I've not got an Asda parking sim on a Saturday afternoon, or else I'd get real rage.Overall for the price you are getting a premium race wheel, that is the cost of an actual console but oh my is it worth it. I cannot state how highly I recommend this race wheel and pedals whether you are an amateur (like my daughter in the video / pics) or a seasoned veteran like myself who is rubbish at racing games ever since Chequered Flag on the Spectrum.Buy this wheel, you will not regret it.
