I bought this to play with Project Cars on PS4, which is a particularly difficult game with a standard PS4 controller, as it's a proper sim and with the analogue stick it's just not viable. So anyway, I was eyeing up both the Logitech G29 and the Thrustmaster T300, which are both around the £300 mark. I read a few articles about the T150 before it came out and to be honest, they didn't give much away. The one thing I really noticed from all the forums and previews were that the Thrustmasters have a belt force feedback system, while the Logitech have an older and more notchy technology, but has a better set of pedals. Anyway, I went for the T150 mainly due to price - while I could afford the more expensive one,but my head (and my wife) couldn't justify spending £300 on what is essentially a Playstation toy. Anyway, more specific review below:Wheel - it's great. It's smallish and made of rubber rather than leather, but it definitely doesn't feel cheap. It's sturdy and solid and comes with a clamp to put it to a table or a wheel stand. You can't "hard mount" this, but it's still sturdy if you've got a table or something to fix it to that's less than 6cm in thickness. The force feedback is really good. I enjoy real life go karting and have done a track day racing around brands hatch a couple of years ago in an M3 and a single seater Formula 1st (not Formula 1) type car and this wheel is also enough to make your arms ache after 45 minutes or so, if not quite the same strength that you get from the real thing. It's smooth and you don't get those notches, which I think you will possibly get from the G29 from what I've read. All in all, I'm really pleased with the the wheel. It doesn't have an analogue stick, but other than that has all the PS4 buttons you need. One thing I'm trying to work out how to do is be able to use the wheel with automatic gears, which I can't work out how to do, but actually, I've ended up getting much better with the paddle shifters, which are really good and feel similar to a Mercedes C Class I test drove in real life a few months ago.Pedals - now this was the real worry about buying the T150 or even the T300, as the pedals aren't meant to be to the spec of the G29. Also, they don't have a clutch pedal - just have throttle and brake pedals. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Possibly, I'd imagined from all the reviews that they would be flimsy and light, but in reality, while the throttle pedal is light (just as in a real car), the brake has a lot more resistance and isn't dissimilar to a real brake pedal. The only downside is that once you press each pedal fully, the pedal hits the plastic at the back of the pedal, rather than being cushioned, which yes... feels slightly cheaper, but to be honest, you get used to it quickly and you certainly don't lose any of the fun factor. I've seen online that you can modify it with a bit of rubber by sticking this on the back of the pedals.Summary - I'm really pleased. This is still £160 worth of kit, so it's not cheap, but it's great fun, it's smooth and my cornering was massively improved on Project Cars, shaving off around a second or two from my lap times. I'm a little bit addicted, although for now I'm not using a wheel stand. I may also end up buying the Omega GT Wheelstand, but for now I'm on the floor in an uncomfortable position, but it's worth it - great fun, addictive and the pedals really aren't as bad as I thought they would be. I won't be upgrading the pedals, as some people might want to. If you're not an overly serious gamer and you enjoy racing games and want something that will help you drive more realistically on Project Cars, while making you more competitive, this does the trick. Looks good too... I'd recommend.

This is my first steering wheel, and after a lot of research into steering wheels I decided to go for the Thrustmaster T80 because it was the only wheel that I could find that I had seen being used with GTA 5 on the PS4.This wheel does work with GTA5 on PS4..!!It does however suffer from a bit of delay, but this is down to the software and not the hardware. GTA5 is not a Racing game but driving is a big part of the game, and if like me, you enjoy just driving around and admiring the view then you will find this wheel does the job.It also works with the PS3 and I have so far used it with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and GRID Race Driver.Results vary depending on the game but again this is not down to the hardware but rather the software.The wheel has 3 sensitivity settings, which you change by holding both paddle shifters and pressing the D pad up or down. An Led light shows the setting...Orange is low...Red is Medium..Green is high.To calibrate the wheel you must hold the PS button down, plug it in, then release the PS button.You must do this if you want to use it with GTA5.It is not a force feedback back type wheel...and I have never used one so I have no idea what the difference is but this wheel has a solid feel to it, and the 'bungy cord' or whatever is inside gives it a decent amount of tension so that it feels stiff when turning and springs back to the center when let go.Currently I am using it with DriveClub on PS4 and I am loving it, it really does add an whole new dimension to the racing game genre.So much so that I am now wondering how much better a force feedback wheel is..?To sum things up, if you are looking to buy an introduction to steering wheel racing and you want to use it with GTA5 then I dont think you can go wrong.Easy to set up, but the usb cable that plugs into the console could do with being longer,I have a 5m extension and it works fine with it.I also have a usb 3.0 hub and this wheel works when plugged into it.I will probably upgrade soon to a force feedback wheel...but not because this wheel is not good, but because I have now discovered the world of Sim Racing...and from what I have read I will probably go for one that you can add a full size wheel...because this wheel is a little small for my liking...I think it is around the 10 -11inch size...but it is perfect for my kids.Only used it for a few hours so cant say anything about reliability...but I guess that it will be fine as there is not a lot inside to go wrong...unlike the force feedback types...which I read are hit and miss with their build quality.Overall I am very pleased with it and for what you get I give it 5 Stars.I did consider the Hori Apex....or the RWA Apex as it is also called as it has a Rumble function which might add to the feeling of the wheel..but could not find out if it definately worked with GTA5....Hope this review answers the questions I was asking..??

Being a massive F1 fan for a long time and played many of the F1 games this is the 1st time I have ever used a racing wheel.It was hard to do any real research as I have had no experience of these wheels but opted for this Ferrari wheel as it was£5 cheaper than the unbadged model.Some reviews mentioned about the belt fed forcefeedback on it is inferior to the T300's force feedback but this is £150 cheaper so thought I could suffer the 'inferior' force feedback.Comes nicely packaged and simple enough to connect, make sure you have the correct PS3 or PS4 mode selected using the little switch on the column. First experience of it I believe was uncalibrated,absolutely awful so disconnected and reconnected and no problems since.I have been using this on F1 2015 and took about 20 - 30 minutes to get to grips with it. It's important that you don't let any initial bad experience make you think it is really bad, it gets a lot easier and now I cannot believe I could race with satisfaction without a wheel.this wheel is great, took a little while to get used to the button layout but now can navigate them without looking.I don't use the gear levers but did a couple of races to get the feel of those for this review. Nice actions, smooth and everything really good about this wheel. I can now race Monaco with immense confidence using the above cockpit camera view, stunning.I have used a simple foldaway tv dinner table ( mine was £8 from Argos but there are a few on Amazon) to use this on and just about ok, annoying that the pedals slowly move away during use but I will be adding a little Velcro to the bottom to try and stop this.I have to admit to be a little over excited with this as it has brought so much fun so if I had to temper my enthusiasm down I would but I just can't, 5 stars all the way.If you love racing games you HAVE to get a wheel and this is a jolly good one

I have been racing on the PS4 with the Logitech G29 for several months now but it just felt like it was missing something. After reading lots of reviews and looking at several videos I decided to take the plunge and get the T300RS GT. It seems to have slightly shorter USB cables than the G29 but everything else feels far superior. Firstly, you can interchange the wheel for different models just by unlocking a collar. The wheel itself feels heavy and sturdy and the buttons have a very solid feel to them, especially the paddle shifters, although the T300 has a rubber coating and the G29 has a slightly nicer feeling soft-faux-perforated leather in the hand.The base is very solid on the T300 and can be secured with a slightly awkward screw bar or, as i have done, hard-mount it to my playseat using two bolts - not supplied (but the G29 comes with 4 when it only needs 2, which was handy). After playing with the T300 for a short while it quickly became apparent that the wheel had a much heavier feel to the driving and the belt-driven force feedback is much stiffer, without the clunkiness of the gear-driven G29. Although the GT pedals in the T300 look terrible at first sight compared with the G29's, they are actually much more accurate and are more adjustable for your preferred feel, plus they have a rubber conical insert which helps with the stiffness of the brake - while this sounds ridiculous it really makes quite a difference and my braking was more progressive with fewer lock-ups and less need to keep messing with the brake balance.Overall, although slightly more expensive, the T300RS GT is the superior product and you really notice a difference in your lap times when you play. The G29 is still an excellent wheel though and will suit most hobby racers to a T, but for me the T300 RS GT is a much better wheel set.

Initially bought for my PS4 (Project Cars, Driveclub & The Crew) the unit responded as expected. This is my first FF Wheel so cannot make a comparison except to RL driving. The wheel itself feels very substantial with brushed metal finish and rubber coated wheel. I was not fond of the clamping setup on the base unit, you can never seem to get the bar on the clamp bolt to be properly out of the way though the table I have clamped it to may be a factor. I just think that for all the advertised tech innovation inside the unit the clamp was a bit of an afterthought. Positive feel to the flappy paddles though I feel that the layout of the PS buttons could have been better (buttons that could have been used for handbrake or change of camera view etc..are a stretch for the thumb and not intuitive, I found myself needing to look for the buttons which stole focus from the game and had me in the armco on more that a few occasions. During use I thought that the 'Out Of The Box' FF settings for Project Cars were extremely realistic where as Driveclub a little less so and The Crew not so good. The unit boasts 1080 degree rotation but if you try and use this and need to shift gear at the same time it can become farcical.Anyway, I would have scored the unit as a 5 if the first unit had not died. My replacement has performed very well since and is quiet when operating with only low level fan noise during extended use. I am very happy with the product and did not suffer with buyers regret, though due to the first unit failure there is a little niggle in the back of my mind that this may happen again. I see on the web that there have been a number complaints about this unit, but many more with nothing but praise. But if it fails I know I can count on Amazon CS to help out.

An amazing wheel for the price. Having used the T300, I don't understand why it is much more expensive. The T150 has the same turning ability and brilliant and sometimes violent force feedback - you do need to hold the wheel to keep the car going straight sometimes. The quality of the wheel is excellent, the T300 feels a bit more premium but in all honestly at around £150 the T150 is a great quality wheel, at £100-110, it's an unbelievable wheel. The pedals are not as premium as some from Logitech, but I haven't had any issues with them, they allow minor adjustments of brake and accelerator mid-corner to balance the car well. The paddles are a good length and have a very satisfying click,much like BMW SMG or DCT.As another reviewer said the T150 reviews didn't initially reveal much, but having good experiences with the T300 and less than half the price, I thought it's got to be worth a try and I'm extremely glad I did. I use mine with a Playseat Challenge, which probably brings the biggest disappointment is that you have to use the table top mounting system which may not suit all fitting platforms, the wheel cannot be mounted with screws, although I think a bit of modifying with some metal or wood could easily sort this and not be an issue. The wheel belts and gears can be heard when turning but this is to be as expected and is not loud in any way to distract from the game or be an issue in the slightest.As said above, I use mine with a gaming chair and Project Cars on PS4, this is a fantastic set up for semi-serious gaming. Just to note on the PS4, plug the wheel in to the PS4 and power, then hit the PS button before starting Project Cars so the wheel registers as the main controller (I also use the wheel buttons to select Project Cars to be certain).

Got my shiny new t300rs, fixed it to my wheel stand pro (1st gen). Fired up the ps4 & driveclub only to find that acceleration is fine but the brakes don't work! Tried it on the PS3 with f1 2014 and found the same. I downloaded software from the Thrustmaster site so that I could test the unit on my pc. Sure enough the brake pedal only registers 50% at best. Reloaded software as per Thrustmaster instruction but it's the same. For what it's worth the wheel itself felt great so far but can't really review fully unless all working 100%. I do hope this can be resolved as this is my first experience with Thrustmaster and it ain't going too well at present! I will amend my review once (if) progress is made.Regards, Tim.Edit: 2 days later I am being sent new pedals. I had to send Thrustmaster a video showing the fault (registering only 50% braking on the PC software) also had to send a picture of the wires to the pedal set cut in two! They don't want the old ones back & I guess they want to make sure I'm not just after another pedal set. Should have them in a week or so. Watch this space.Edit no2: after 1 week my new pedals have arrived and all works perfectly. The steering wheel feels excellent, better than my old DFGT I would say. The feedback from the wheel is excellent and you are very engaged with the car. I have played driveclub and even dug out my PS3 & played f1 2014 & dirt 3. I would say that the pedals do seem to be a weak point and the so called progressive brake doesn't feel progressive to me, it just has a spring under it! They will do for now but if you are a serious gamer you might want to find some t3pa pedals. 5 stars for the wheel, 3 for the pedals.

Owned for about 18 months now and purchased for initially for Driveclub on the PS4.I had the old Logitech Force Feedback on the PS3 for games like Gran Tourismo and F1 but alas this was not compatible with the PS4.The Wheel itself is good, its Plastic but decent materials and I particularly like the Metal Paddle Shifters that seem high quality, have a reassuring 'click' and rotate with the wheel as they should.The pedals are Plastic but a good standard, however, could do with some extra resistance at full travel, there are many ways to Mod these with Rubber Pads shown on Youtube although I haven't done this.To be honest,they were OK with DriveClub but I couldn't really match my Controller times with them as I tended to get a lot of oversteer so the car would spin out in places the Controller didn't so they gathered dust for a while while my Son used them for Games like 'The Crew' and NFS)However now on PC1 and now GT Sport they've come into their own and in my opinion, a must-have addition to any SIMCADE racer, the level of control you have using a Wheel and especially Pedals to throttle your Acceleration and Braking takes your experience to another level especially when used with Wheel Stand (i have the budget £50 unit that can be bought on ebay or Amazon and its just about ok for the money)There are better (more expensive) wheels out there for sure from the G29 to the Fanatech CSL Elite but as an entry level to Force Feedback Wheels you really can't go wrong, also comes with a 2yr Warranty.I bought mine on discount at PC World for £109 but for around £160 it is still the best sub £200 console FF Racing Wheel you can buy.Enjoy

My first ffb steering wheel!My initial impression is based on the fact I had to return a faulty t300 rs (from a different website) I felt a little disappointment cos it’s so plasticky, for want of a better word.!Upon start up, it spins into life. It’s has a soothing, calming sound. The shift paddle is metal and clicked like it is made well. I could feel the gears turning but not annoying and clunky. I chose the t150 over the g29 because the g29 is very loud when it rumbles, not ideal for late night sessions. Plus the t150 spins quicker, for some reason that feels important to me.The pedals are horrible and I regret not buying the pro set, which comes with the t3pa conical brake mod.I mean Project cars 2 is a difficult game without wheel and peddles, but the difficulty will increase without something to dampen the brakes and prevent them locking up. The only improvement I’ve seen against many reviews is that at the back of the gas pedal there’s a foam insert which dampen the sound of peddle hitting the peddle base. I have installed a brake mod myself as you can see in the pic. It’s a rubber snake!! Costs £1.50 in asda. I call it “snake mod” lol.Easy installation and firmware update improved the performance. The ffb is more stronger than I thought, giving a lot to fight against. You can apply a lot of in game adjustments before clipping. The clamp is annoying me mostly, not getting in the way but I might break it if I tighten it any more. There’s no hard mount option, hence 4 stars.I would recommend this to anyone for their first wheel, just use this brake mod! ?

Whilst the T150 doesn't have a clutch pedal or separate shifter, it feels sturdier and looks far more appealing than Logitech's highly reputed (and more expensive) G27. The wheel itself is made of a high quality plastic that gives the impression of machined/brushed metal. The rim has a textured rubber finish at the coloured holding points that gives plenty of grip. The paddle shifters are actually metal and rotate with the wheel (unlike on some other models) to stay within easy reach. They have good resistance and give a solid mechanical click when activated. There are a plenty of buttons and a d-pad for navigating menus or other in-game functions.The wheel unit clamps to the desk with a quick release mechanism and didn't move about or come loose at all during long races. The pedals are plastic but again of a decent quality. The brake pedal has more resistance than the accelerator as in a real car. They are fairly light but didn't move around at all once my heels were rested on the base. The set connects directly to the mains to provide power for the force feedback effects which in my opinion are very good. The unit only requires a single USB port as the pedals connect to the steering unit. If you're looking for your first steering wheel, the T150 is a great choice.I used the wheel with Windows 10 in iRacing, GTR2 and DiRT Rally. Note: Out of the box, the pedals didn't function correctly and were appearing as digital inputs rather than analogue. Visiting Thrustmaster's support site and downloading the firmware updater fixed this.

I bought this as a replacement for my Logitech G25, which is a superb wheel but because I had it mounted on a long shelf in my "man cave" it was extremely noisy. Driving down Mulsanne straight in Gran Turismo 6 was horrible (borderline unusable) because the G25 rattled and shook to unbearable levels.Anyway I used the £99 listing on amazon to collect the Ferrari branded T150 from my local Maplin (price matched) and was immediately impressed. The wheel feels very solid, turns very quietly, the paddle shifters are solidly built and give a nice *click* with each gear change. I've used it so far with Gran Turismo 5 & 6 (PS3), Project CARS (PS4 and PC) and Assetto Corsa (PS4) - in all games the wheel performs superbly,force feedback is strong and realistic, gives a lot of information about each car's handling.The only downside would be the pedals which feel very light and flimsy compared to the high quality wheel. Mine occasionally give an annoying click when I press the accelerator (I don't know what's happening), and pushing the brake pedal to the floor often results in the pedals lifting right up before you reach full pressure. But given you never actually need to fully press the brake pedals, this is only a side-issue.All in all I would recommend this wheel for anyone looking to get into sim racing without costing a fortune. Only the aforementioned flimsy pedals prevent me awarding a 5-star rating, but don't let that put you off.

I like it was a gran turismo sport edition wheelI didn't like the fact I had no clutch after paying 650 on amazon. EuIts an amazing experience to behold with the technology being utilised in this unit! Just a shame when playing gran turismo there is no clutch to operate the vehicle so rendering the extra pedal fitted useless :(It's also a shame that the rumble kit fitted only works with gt so far as it's only just really been launched and further support to build this technology into other games may be added as a patchI loved this wheel after I upgraded from a T300 with t3pa pedals and playseat gtBut having to switch my console ofel each time I swap disc to play other games like dirt and projectcars which would kick me out of chat as I learned if I didn't it wouldn't sync at allWith the new game iv just loadedThere was many complaints About this in the forums as it was very frequent as I always thought the ps4 would recognise what mode I was inGt or otherBut to obtain the correct sync you litteraly have to power down leave chat and lobby then reboot the system from scratch with your new game loaded to swerve any issuesIt is high end equipment and it is worth looking to buy for any gt fan or person willing to give that little extra perseverance to play with other systems and gamesI am a true racing fan and sim driverAll my accolades are ultra rare if not platinuming each game to obtain master completion

Having only ever played racing games such as Gran Turismo 3,4,5 and with a controller i had always been interested in the difference between a wheel and and your standard controller setup. Having read countless reviews and watched many a video about comparisons and detailed breakdowns I took the plunge and I've not back.The setup was very simple and the manual unlike with some products was my friend and actually very easy to understand and follow. I give this 4 stars is the screw to connect the wheel to the base broke as I was screwing it. (The head deformed and no screwdriver would work - I have like 15) but apart from that it's a so easy to get going.The clamp is very good.Having It attached to my desk leaves me with total confidence it's not gonna fly off mid corner.The force feedback gives you a good understanding of what your tires are doing and the surface your driving on is really well translated through the wheel and into your fingertips allowing you catch slides and maintain in my experience, greater control.The pedals whilst being very well made, aren't on the same level of feedback presentation like the wheel. It feels like you're just pushing to go fast or to slow down. There's no bite or no feeling of progression.Overall I'd absolutely recommend given this one of the best wheels for PS3 AND PS4 which for me is a huge selling point which opens so many doors to games of old but also future titles

ProsFantastic FFB system up there with the Fanatec CSL EliteGreat smoothing and centeringEasy to hard mountBest value to performance on the market.Very reasonable price to help future SimRacers get into the community.Cons:Looks toyishPlastic baseWheel is not full size.Pedals are shockingly bad.Now let me elaborate, I won't elaborate on the Pros because the pro's are everything you want in a wheel, this wheel is fantastic and I've tried the Fanatec CSL Elite and the CSW V2.5, while it's not up there with the CSW V2.5 it's up there with the CSL Elite despite costing alot less.The only thing I don't like about this wheel is aesthetics, the wheel is not full size (doesn't really bother me)the base is plastic and the whole wheel looks cheap, now I've just bought Carbon wrap and plan on wrapping it all in carbon fibre so I'll post some pictures when that is done.I didn't even bother unboxing the pedals are they are crap.Overall this wheel is fantastic and you really couldn't get better value for money, not even a G29 is better value for money.This isn't coming from a novice SimRacer I've been SimRacing for 4 years now and competitively for 2 years.My only gripe is that this wheel came in what looked like a used box, it's obvious it's not shipping damage.So I will probably return it for a replacement as I bought a brand new one not a used one.- Ben

Awesome wheel upgraded from my Logitech dfgt because of ps4 compatibilityThe pedals,Took some getting used to as they are a lot stiffer and feel more realistic but there was a slight dead-zone about 10-15% travel of the accelerator pedal did nothing. I tried to adapt but could ne get to grips with this issue on f1 2014 ended up taking the pedals apart and resetting the cog. This was easy to do and fixed the problem 100%. Also a good thing is the wire from the pedals and be channelled underneath and exit from left or right of the base plate. There is also mounting holes to bolt them in place.The steering wheel,The feel of the wheel is awesome the paddle shifters feel like quality when shifting making a lot better that my Logitech homemade paddle shifters,the force feedback is awesome quite strong and silent compared to the dfgt. The clamp could be better as the clamp would occasionally flex and the wheel would lift up slightly when fighting the feedback (only on driveclub on 100% feedback very minor) The wheel can be bolted down with 2 M6 machine screws I have a gamepod gt2 race chair and its bolted to that nicely.The wheel and the pedals are good Yeah I guess they are expensive but atm without an alternative force feedback wheel on the market a defo worthy upgrade on my Logitech dfgt and I am happy with my purchase
