The wheel is fantastic, Really versatile with how users wish to set them up dependant on the purpose you intend to use it for. I have it clamped to my university desk currently and the clamping system is fantastic, solid and really easy to apply (Video's are on YT). In my case I'm currently using it for PC Sim racing until my Project Cars LE comes in March. The firmware updates were easy to do and the profiler is a really useful base level introduction as to how the wheel feels with the opportunity to test how the FFB feels dependant on the settings you have. Then in the sim I'm using the calibration was easy to do with the wheel and the freedom to choose how heavy you want the wheel to be (Damping)and FFB was easy however does take some fine tuning as every car is different and of course also relates to the settings you have in your T300RS profiler as well as the in game options so beware on that! It also gives a bar for clipping which is where the FFB is being over worked so allows you to know where the optimal ranges are and of course that's for every individual taste and specification. I hope it shall be a similar process for the PS4 & Project Cars when that's released. The problems: - Pedals:I'm a disabled driver using an automatic so for me I only use my R foot to alternate between the two pedals. The issue as many T300RS users would I'm sure of experienced by now is the brake is not progressive. so in order to apply even a little brake it requires to be pushed down a lot and I felt the pedal was rather heavy for a brake. Also unless mounted it can be very difficult to use with regards to the base lifting up especially when fully pressing down on the pedals I have experimented with options to try and secure them but have yet been unsuccessful in finding a good method. I'm going to look at alternative pedals for this system given these issues I experienced but everything else was second to none I have owned wheels in the past and I don't think there are better options available for this price in the market at this time.Asides from the pedals the system is a great purchase and whilst alternatives are available I'm very pleased with both the product and Amazon service I received during the ordering process.

Being a massive F1 fan for a long time and played many of the F1 games this is the 1st time I have ever used a racing wheel. It was hard to do any real research as I have had no experience of these wheels but opted for this Ferrari wheel as it was£5 cheaper than the unbadged model. Some reviews mentioned about the belt fed forcefeedback on it is inferior to the T300's force feedback but this is £150 cheaper so thought I could suffer the 'inferior' force feedback.Comes nicely packaged and simple enough to connect, make sure you have the correct PS3 or PS4 mode selected using the little switch on the column. First experience of it I believe was uncalibrated, absolutely awful so disconnected and reconnected and no problems since.I have been using this on F1 2015 and took about 20 - 30 minutes to get to grips with it. It's important that you don't let any initial bad experience make you think it is really bad, it gets a lot easier and now I cannot believe I could race with satisfaction without a wheel.this wheel is great, took a little while to get used to the button layout but now can navigate them without looking.I don't use the gear levers but did a couple of races to get the feel of those for this review. Nice actions, smooth and everything really good about this wheel. I can now race Monaco with immense confidence using the above cockpit camera view, stunning.I have used a simple foldaway tv dinner table ( mine was £8 from Argos but there are a few on Amazon) to use this on and just about ok, annoying that the pedals slowly move away during use but I will be adding a little Velcro to the bottom to try and stop this.I have to admit to be a little over excited with this as it has brought so much fun so if I had to temper my enthusiasm down I would but I just can't, 5 stars all the way.If you love racing games you HAVE to get a wheel and this is a jolly good one

I had G27 wheel for 4 and a half years of extensive use till it broke down a month a go, which was actually convenient as it gave me an excuse to buy this wheel and buy the ps4 soon.I consider myself fast on race games, always near the top of the leader boards. After a couple of hours use over a couple days, I'm going faster with this wheel than the G27, which is most important factor for me. It's hard to pin-point why. The wheel is the same size as the G27, but feels slightly better. Also, when you turn the wheel, there seems to be no lag at all. I think with the G27 there was a slight lag for me, but nothing noticeable. The T300RS pedals are actually not as bad as I was expecting considering the reviews on here about them. But there are a couple issues I have with them. On a carpet flooring they slide back too much. The gripping on the underside of the pedals clearly not good enough which is a pretty basic design flaw. But that is easily remedied by putting a box or something against the wall so there is no gap between the pedals and wall. The other issue with the pedals is that there is no progressive resistance on the brake pedal like with the G27. I do not want much resistance when I brake lightly, but I want more resistance when I brake heavily. This is what the G27 provides. T300RS brake pedal does not. It's at a medium resistant level whether you brake lightly or heavily which is more of a problem when trying to brake lightly for me. Accelerator pedal, no problems. I'm looking forward to when I receive the G27 Pedal adaptor for the Thrustmaster as I should improve my laptimes even more.I cannot comment on the force feedback as for F1 games, one of which I was testing this wheel on, I switch it off. The G27 force feedback I always found to feel quite unnatural. Apparently with this wheel, it's better but I have yet to test it.

I have been racing on the PS4 with the Logitech G29 for several months now but it just felt like it was missing something. After reading lots of reviews and looking at several videos I decided to take the plunge and get the T300RS GT. It seems to have slightly shorter USB cables than the G29 but everything else feels far superior. Firstly, you can interchange the wheel for different models just by unlocking a collar. The wheel itself feels heavy and sturdy and the buttons have a very solid feel to them, especially the paddle shifters, although the T300 has a rubber coating and the G29 has a slightly nicer feeling soft-faux-perforated leather in the hand. The base is very solid on the T300 and can be secured with a slightly awkward screw bar or, as i have done, hard-mount it to my playseat using two bolts - not supplied (but the G29 comes with 4 when it only needs 2, which was handy). After playing with the T300 for a short while it quickly became apparent that the wheel had a much heavier feel to the driving and the belt-driven force feedback is much stiffer, without the clunkiness of the gear-driven G29. Although the GT pedals in the T300 look terrible at first sight compared with the G29's, they are actually much more accurate and are more adjustable for your preferred feel, plus they have a rubber conical insert which helps with the stiffness of the brake - while this sounds ridiculous it really makes quite a difference and my braking was more progressive with fewer lock-ups and less need to keep messing with the brake balance.Overall, although slightly more expensive, the T300RS GT is the superior product and you really notice a difference in your lap times when you play. The G29 is still an excellent wheel though and will suit most hobby racers to a T, but for me the T300 RS GT is a much better wheel set.

Initially bought for my PS4 (Project Cars, Driveclub & The Crew) the unit responded as expected. This is my first FF Wheel so cannot make a comparison except to RL driving. The wheel itself feels very substantial with brushed metal finish and rubber coated wheel. I was not fond of the clamping setup on the base unit, you can never seem to get the bar on the clamp bolt to be properly out of the way though the table I have clamped it to may be a factor. I just think that for all the advertised tech innovation inside the unit the clamp was a bit of an afterthought. Positive feel to the flappy paddles though I feel that the layout of the PS buttons could have been better (buttons that could have been used for handbrake or change of camera view etc..are a stretch for the thumb and not intuitive, I found myself needing to look for the buttons which stole focus from the game and had me in the armco on more that a few occasions. During use I thought that the 'Out Of The Box' FF settings for Project Cars were extremely realistic where as Driveclub a little less so and The Crew not so good. The unit boasts 1080 degree rotation but if you try and use this and need to shift gear at the same time it can become farcical.Anyway, I would have scored the unit as a 5 if the first unit had not died. My replacement has performed very well since and is quiet when operating with only low level fan noise during extended use. I am very happy with the product and did not suffer with buyers regret, though due to the first unit failure there is a little niggle in the back of my mind that this may happen again. I see on the web that there have been a number complaints about this unit, but many more with nothing but praise. But if it fails I know I can count on Amazon CS to help out.

I’ve spent 6 years with a T500rs, not all smooth sailing, a main PCB replacement after 3 and another failure after 6 years I’ve thrown in the towel and nearly bought another brand, but got a good deal on a T300GTE and thought I can utilise my add on wheel and pro pedal set, so bolted it to my playseat fired it up and sat very underwhelmed and disappointed, the T500 was an upgrade from a Driving force GT and G27 Logitech and i remember being blown away when I first used it, not this time, I thought I’d downgraded.Looking back I think I was being harsh, I just wasn’t feeling the powerful tug, the massive understeer/oversteer, the brute force the T500 delivered, but I’ll tell you what after 3 weeks I’m converted, the feedback is informative and precise, much more depth and reality to it, so much more accurate, it’s smoother, less noisy (nothing to do with the fan) when running on rumble strips, you get the rumble without the noise,Having done over 600 F1 GP’s with my T500 it was never going to be a smooth transition as I was sentimentally attached to it and knew all the feelings and my senses were finely tuned to the feedback and force but the feel of this once you’ve adapted to it is superbly balanced, less brute force and much more detail.Pedals are not as good as the standard T3PA pro packaged with the T500, but I’ve just kept the pro pedals on my rig so haven’t used them and am very happy overall.Only time will tell on reliability, nice to not have the huge power brick which was on the T500, I tucked under the pedals so never really got in the way and didn’t fancy one of those turbo shaped power packs as I thought I’d have nowhere to stash it because of its shape, but I am apprehensive with the built in power supply I have to say but we will see.

Got my shiny new t300rs, fixed it to my wheel stand pro (1st gen). Fired up the ps4 & driveclub only to find that acceleration is fine but the brakes don't work! Tried it on the PS3 with f1 2014 and found the same. I downloaded software from the Thrustmaster site so that I could test the unit on my pc. Sure enough the brake pedal only registers 50% at best. Reloaded software as per Thrustmaster instruction but it's the same. For what it's worth the wheel itself felt great so far but can't really review fully unless all working 100%. I do hope this can be resolved as this is my first experience with Thrustmaster and it ain't going too well at present! I will amend my review once (if) progress is made.Regards, Tim.Edit: 2 days later I am being sent new pedals. I had to send Thrustmaster a video showing the fault (registering only 50% braking on the PC software) also had to send a picture of the wires to the pedal set cut in two! They don't want the old ones back & I guess they want to make sure I'm not just after another pedal set. Should have them in a week or so. Watch this space.Edit no2: after 1 week my new pedals have arrived and all works perfectly. The steering wheel feels excellent, better than my old DFGT I would say. The feedback from the wheel is excellent and you are very engaged with the car. I have played driveclub and even dug out my PS3 & played f1 2014 & dirt 3. I would say that the pedals do seem to be a weak point and the so called progressive brake doesn't feel progressive to me, it just has a spring under it! They will do for now but if you are a serious gamer you might want to find some t3pa pedals. 5 stars for the wheel, 3 for the pedals.

This is the first steering wheel I have ever purchased and I can't tell you enough how happy I am with it. I play project cars with the t300rs and it's a match made in heaven. I wouldn't bother using this with Driveclub, the feedback and feel when playing Project cars is far superior.Though the t300ra is plug and play you most likely will need to tinker with the settings, which can take a while with some trial and error. I suggest googling some setups, there's good ones online.Once you've got the right game, got a good setup and gotten used to the wheel itself, it will completely transform your experience with racing games forever. the feeling of satisfaction and awe after completing a near flawless lap around spa-francorchamps,or winning a tight race when you start in 12th position, it is all magnifies when using this wheel. And the reason for this is simple: you actually feel like you are driving these cars. Project cars has developed their cars to each behave almost exactly like their real life counterpart, but it's only through the t300rs that you can FEEL the tiny nuances and characteristics of each and every car. This is largely due to the wonderful force feedback system that communicates to your hands and arms the way a car reacts to your driving. And of course as every car is different, the physical feeling you get from the force feedback is appropriately different as well. It's a night and day difference from using a controller. So to summarise, if you love racing games you absolutely must buy this wheel. If you don't love racing games, chances are once you've used the t300rs for a few hours you will.

ProsFantastic FFB system up there with the Fanatec CSL EliteGreat smoothing and centeringEasy to hard mountBest value to performance on the market.Very reasonable price to help future SimRacers get into the community.Cons:Looks toyishPlastic baseWheel is not full size.Pedals are shockingly bad.Now let me elaborate, I won't elaborate on the Pros because the pro's are everything you want in a wheel, this wheel is fantastic and I've tried the Fanatec CSL Elite and the CSW V2.5, while it's not up there with the CSW V2.5 it's up there with the CSL Elite despite costing alot less. The only thing I don't like about this wheel is aesthetics, the wheel is not full size (doesn't really bother me)the base is plastic and the whole wheel looks cheap, now I've just bought Carbon wrap and plan on wrapping it all in carbon fibre so I'll post some pictures when that is done.I didn't even bother unboxing the pedals are they are crap.Overall this wheel is fantastic and you really couldn't get better value for money, not even a G29 is better value for money. This isn't coming from a novice SimRacer I've been SimRacing for 4 years now and competitively for 2 years. My only gripe is that this wheel came in what looked like a used box, it's obvious it's not shipping damage. So I will probably return it for a replacement as I bought a brand new one not a used one.- Ben

Really good set, a big step above a Logitech G27/G29 - and easily comparable to, if not better than, an old Fanatec combo from 7 or 8 years ago.The wheel is comfortable, the button layout is logical and easy to reach (good for VR) and the shifter paddles are solid, and have a nice click. The Force Feedback is smooth, and strong on high settings, plenty for everyone. The foot pedals are nice, if a little basic, but with a good action, and nice resistance.I had a G27, until inherited a Fanatec set for PC, but haven’t used it in a while. I bought it this for my PS4, to race with friends online, and was surprised how good it was - so I ran the old Fanatec again to compare and it’s very similar,if not slightly less smooth, and I know it cost over £800 when new. The T300 pedals don’t quite beat the old set, but again, they would’ve been several hundred pounds on top of the wheel. When the T300 can connect to PS4 and PC so easily, and switching with ease, for this price it’s a no brainer. For anyone upgrading from a beginner set-up, or considering spending more on a different belt-driven system, this should be near the top of your list. Unless you’re wanting hyperrealistic direct-drive feedback for a motion-sim VR rig, I would argue this is best value for money.

It has stronger force feedback than I expected, I had never used a sim wheel but can definitely feel the bumps and wheels losing grip (depends on the game of course). It was really easy to set up and get working. I do recommend looking up some FFB settings videos and trying a few out until you find one you like. The wheel feels nice and quite heavy for it's size, gives a quality feel in the hand when playing and is a very nice size for racing. The buttons are good too, feel a little bit more wobbly than a PS controller but they work fine and are in a nice location to access most of them while racing. The pedals are ok, they look a bit cheap and plasticy but feel strong underfoot.I tried the conical brake mod that comes with it but I think that just shortens the brake travel and makes it harder to trail brake, best to stick with them the way they are out the box. Most importantly, my lap times have dropped by about 6 seconds compared with using a controller at Monza (previous best was 1:54 in a Ferrari GT3, now it is 1:48, after a month or so of playing ACC with it). Really can't recommend enough, it has made sim racing way more fun for me and I think I'll get years of use of it.

Bought this as a base unit and paired with the F1 wheel. Absolutely love it, when playing F1 2017 the wheel gives feedback to every little bump in the road in game which makes it very realistic. A good workout for the shoulders and upper back/neck if you play it for a while with the force feedback.Pedals are reactive and nice. A lot of people moan about the build of the pedals but in my opinion they are perfectly fine when in use and seeing as you don't see them much as your concentration is elsewhere when in use the moans are unfounded.Other reviews say the fans are quite loud, but in honesty I did not even notice the fans at all while playing (possibly due to sound of tv drowning them out,or down to the concentration while in game). I did notice when I had finished and turned off the system, but for the feedback it gives I'd expect the cooling of the fans to be louder so it's not an issue to me.I haven't tried the wheel provided with this yet as my main use is for the F1 2017 game. All in all, I'd recommend and is much better than a cheap £100 wheel which has no feedback at all.

I bought this wheel on Black Friday and got it from box.co.uk for £230. They normally retail at £330 so I couldn't say No(or the wife couldn't say No!). I used to have a Logitech G27 on the PS3 so definately wanted a wheel of substance for my PS4. The wheel is absolutely amazing, it has proper transformed my enjoyment and improved my performance on Driveclub. Am so looking forward to Project CARS now. The feedback on the wheel is fantastic and being able to feel every bump and slip on the road makes such a difference. The feedback is so strong that the first week of using it my arms were aching. The wheel is brilliant and definately better than my G27, apart from the pedals! They are shocking!!they are like the DFGT pedals. I was having a problem where they were only braking at 50% sometimes. I figured out that where my heel sat on the foot plate was pushing down the plastic which was impacting on the braking sensitivity. The pedals are also very light so you have to secure them to be able to use them. I have since upgraded to the T3PA pedals and I would recommend you do the same.

I bought this wheel for my PS4 after Logitech shafted its old customers by not giving support for their older wheels. Glad that this was reduced to £100 as that's my maximum price point for a wheel really and FFB and 900 degree (This is 1080!) were a must before I even considered even buying one. The wheel is great and has good force feedback, feels very fluid. Be prepared to change some of the settings in Project CARS though as that's where most of my time has been spent - and playing it. It's significanly worth noting you can change the wheel degrees by holding the mode button amd pressing left or right, depending on which direction you wish to go. Drive Club works perfect without changing anything, steering is 1:1 in in-car view, you can catch the car before you slide, you can feel the rear tyres slipping etc. I am happy with it overall, my only complaints are that the power and usb cords are too short and the clamp is not universal table friendly, meaning if there's anything below the suface of the table, it will not clamp down. Bear this in mind before buying.

After having to sell my Logitech Driving Force GT as it doesn't work with the PS4, I wasn't too keen on forking out for a new wheel - especially as this one is pretty expensive. Ordered it just after Project Cars launched and it said 5-6 weeks estimated delivery (stock of these is low everywhere), it actually turned up within 2 weeks of ordering. The wheel is solid, heavier than the DFGT and feels like a sturdier build. The pedals are plastic but have metal face-plates on them which gives a more premium feel. It's pretty easy to put it all together (just watch that connector pin on the wheel that connects the wheel to the main stand).Wheel works brilliantly - have only used for Project Cars so far - responsive and really fun to use.Lots of people talk about amending the settings, etc but the only thing I've adjusted within the game settings is the braking pedal dead zone (took it to zero). I have mine attached to a Wheel Stand Pro which is rock solid.Overall, 4 stars for the wheel - would have been 5 if it wasn't so expensive, too much for what it is.
