I have had an older model of this keyboard for several years on my office computer. Last week I could not get logged in and eventually discovered the one of the letters in my password had died on the keyboard. It was beyond repair. I was very glad to find this updated version on Amazon and after a very frustrating week of working with a large desktop keyboard and separate mouse it was an enormous relief when my new keyboard arrived today. It is compact, just 30cm long and 16cm deep with an integrated red button mouse. Having used it for half a day I am back to normal work speed and accuracy, and very well pleased with the new keyboard. The key pads are very comfortable to use and although the layout differs from the old keyboard all the key elements are where they used to be.The older keyboard measured 30cm x 22cm and the space has been saved in this keyboard by eliminating the top row of buttons and incorporating their operation into the F function key row. I don't think that creates a particular difficulty for me. One change which will prove a little more difficult to get accustomed to is the relocation of the PgUp and PgDn keys to the bottom right of the keyboard and rather than be on the vertical plane they are on the same horizontal plane. It will take a little while to get past the need to glance down at the keyboard to spot those keys. The integrated mouse is not to everyone's taste but for me it is super-efficient and it is great to have it back. There is no "number keypad" the numbers are above the QWERTY line of the keyboard. I have become accustomed to that with my previous keyboard and despite working daily with numbers find it no hardship to be without the number pad.One final point worth mentioning is to double check before you buy that you are buying a UK or US layout keyboard. I have seen from reviews of this keyboard on Amazon that some people have ended up with a US version. I work in an accountancy practice and use my pc for word processing and spreadsheets. The default version of this keyboard and most of the standard pictures you see on Amazon & on the Lenovo website for this keyboard are actually the US version. The keyboard I have bought from this supplier is the UK version with the £ sign above 3 and the $ sign above 4. No complicated relearning of that.

The keyboard is perfect. It’s has a very low profile and very light keys which is very important for me due to elbow RSI. The scissors switches improve the key stability and thus typing accuracy. I noticed that my typing speed and comfort has significantly improved. I have been looking for a suitable keyboard for quite a while and so far I think perixx 407 and this one are by far the best available non-mechanical keyboards. While this one is about three times more expensive than Perixx - I think it worth it because it does feel more expensive and provide a better typing experience. That said I’ve been using this keyboard for a week so it’s hard to assess the quality yet; I’ve been using perixxfor over one year all the time and was carrying it in my backpack so it definitely is a solid and wonderful keyboard.

Important to note its a US layout keyboard but still an excellent keyboard, I love the track point when typing and editing as you go, build quality is fantastic and stability on a desk is great. its also super slim and light, if that's important to you.Mine isn't connected to a think pad but its working fine!Didn't come with a cable but who doesn't have a micro USB knocking around these days to connect up.One slight disadvantage maybe - I haven't found a way to switch the function and control key in the downloaded software... something I can get used to and if you have a think pad its probably a non problem

It is very difficult to find a decent USB keyboard without a number pad. There are, of course, loads of rubbish keyboards, but if you're a touch typist as I am then you'll be fussy about the tools you use. This is just like a Thinkpad keyboard - proper keys, properly spaced, properly positioned, and with proper action. The nipple and buttons work as you expect. Everything is as you expect if you're used to using Thinkpads - even down to the 'slap' of the spacebar. A nice touch is that the USB cable unplugs from the keyboard for travelling.Highly recommended.

This is just what I was looking for so that I can plug/unplug between my workstation computers to install operating systems and manage boot time options. It is very compact so I can easily put it away when done. The keyboard itself looks and feels very much like Lenovo took an X250/X260 keyboard and put it in a USB housing. I love ThinkPads so this was right up my street. It should be noted that this is a US English layout version. That isn't a problem for me as I'm used to switching between US/UK computers but may be an annoyance to some.

I need a compact keyboard for temporary use on, eg servers, raspberry Pi's, etc. This is perfect for that duty, the typing experience is great, with a built in trackpoint that works out of the box (on everything I've tried so far anyway) you can still operate GUIs without needing to dig out a separate mouse and it's small enough to be carted around without any problem. The cable is detachable which I wasn't expecting, it's a micro USB on the keyboard side. The version I received was a UK standard layout with \ next to Z and a £ symbol.

I purchased the keyboard to lift up my laptop screen so I can look at it without bending down my neck. I'm very satisfied. I was looking for a keyboard without a numeric keypad, which I normally don't use and optionally wired or wireless. ThinkPad keyboard fulfilled my expectations, moreover it is much lighter than other keyboards without a numeric keypad. Additional option, connection through bluetooth could be very useful. I was a bit surprised that cable wasn't included.

This keyboard replaced my big Logitech Office Keyboard, and I am so happy with it. The typing experience is really nice, I love the track point. The keys have good feedback and its light and compact so it doesn't clutter up your desk. If you are considering this keyboard as either a desk or keyboard for on the go then I highly recommend it.

Excellent small keyboard if you need more space on your desk. It's even smaller than I expected, and it's solid. Fully plug and play, on anything really.Excellent key feeling, typical from a Lenovo/Thinkpad (the modern ones though, I guess the old ones like on the T510 will never come back...)

Superb keyboard in every way. I love the fact that it has no numeric keypad, and is therefore smaller. I love the "feel" of the keys, I love the red Thinkpad mouse pointer. It's a little costly, but totally worth it in my opinion!

I like this keyboard a lot - in fact I like the whole Lenovo concept (using a laptop and docking station). But a bit on the spendy side and the keyboard mapping doesn't exactly match my laptop which can lead to some confusion.
