Some customers criticised this toy mat as being flimsy and suffering from wear and tear at an early stage. However, I purchased one and it has proved to be one of the best buys I have made for our two year old grandson. Look after this 'mat' do not try to hoover it, eat off it, sleep under it or use it for a 'camp', bathmat and if unsupervised children want to fight with it or use it to slide down the stairs on, they will probably destroy it. We roll ours up around a cardboard tube when put away, not folded up, the tube keeps it looking like new. With this mat, which has a non-slip rubber backing, there are endless scenarios for the coloured printed images on the topside as you would find in any town or city.

My mum got this for my son's Christmas present this year and I am so impressed with the quality. We have a wooden floor and the back is non slip so it stays put, my son has spilt juice onto it and none soaked through or into the mat. I just wiped clean with a towel and it left no stains...blackcurrant too! It doesn't roll up at the ends and we roll it away everynight to go under the sofa...the next day it roll's back flat onto the floor!Lot's of great detail, I'm sure my son will have many years enjoyement from this!

I have been worried about this product. I searched for few days, reading reviews on different playmats. Also checking prices, And I decided to get this one. Quite expensive but did not want to get useless piece of plastic. And it was a good choice for me. Love the mat. Has nice colours, non slip bottom and is quite big. My 2 years old son loves it.I just received it today but already we had fun. Hope it will last long.I am pleased I decidedto spend this money.

My son and daughter love this and use it nearly everyday. It rolls away easily - they have a good go at doing it themselves (they are four and two). Pictures are bright and clear and they regularly use it as an extra along other toys (like school houses etc..) that they might be playing with. I couldn't want more from a car mat, just what we hoped it would be! Oh we don't have any of the le toy cars etc.. normal playcars, trucks etc.. fit on fine.

This is the most visually pleasing playmat I've seen and such a relief compared to the normal garish colours. I has been well played with since day one when I laid it out in the morning as a surprise for my three year old son. The only down point is that it is starting to bobble already after a couple of weeks. We also have a cheaper IKEA rug playmat, which although less detailed and attractive, is wearing much better

Did a lot of searching for the perfect car playmat and this is just what I've been looking for. My 6 year old son is very keen on cars and roads and wanted one with lots of detail and road routes. In addition to this, it has a non slip back and is soft to for him to kneel/ lie on! We can also easily roll it up when not in use and it always lies flat the next time he gets it out. Definitely one of the best out there.

It was hard to find a good playmate for Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars. This works very nicely with these size cars to provide a realistic experience, other than it's clearly designed for driving on the left side of the road. The images could be a little more vibrant. This is the best mat I could find, please leave a comment if you find something better. I loved my playmate as a kid but of course it's no longer available.

I search for ages for a road play mat for my 2 year old son. This was the most realistic one I could find and he absolutely loves it. Not carpet material so it wont pluck or bobble up. Good size with loads of features, foam back so it can be used on any surface. More expensive than most I looked at but well worth the money. It hasn't curled up at the edges either despite being on the floor constanly.

Very colourful and detailed playmat. 20 month old grandson loves it especially with the Le Toy Van garage sitting with it! Easy to roll/unroll. Sits flat even after being rolled up. Only downside is that the slightly 'fuzzy' material attracts every tiny bit of flick/fluff/hair and it's difficult to hoover out. All in all though a lovely item.

My son (2,5yo) got this play mat from Santa together with some cars and construction toys. Kept him busy through the whole Christmas and New Years holidays. Nice, easy to read design, bright colours but not too aggressive, easy to keep clean. So far - very happy with it. Will see how durable it is in a couple of months but looks well made.

Bought as a replacement as other mat well used. Its lovely with lots for the children to see. My only critism its absolute nightmare on my carpet, it slips along and gets all bunched up. My friend has recommended carpet gripper so I am going to get some of that. Saying that it doesnt bother the children one bit!!

I purchased this for my grandson, 18 months, to play with here and he loves it - keeps him amused for ages. My 4 year old granddaughter has also used it and it's wearing well so far. I got the London Car set to go with it, but they also use other toys on it. It rolls up quite small for storage - perfect!

I bought this Playmat for my little grandson as he already has the Le Toy Van Garage and I thought he would enjoy playing with this too. It's the first thing he gets out when he comes to visit me and spends many happy hours playing with it. Great product and well worth the money!

I use this mat as a table-top exercise in major incident medical response planning for doctors, nurses and paramedics. We use toy ambulances, fire engines, trains and police cars to respond to a simulated emergency. Works a treat!!! The train tracks are vital. Highly recommended.

BOUGHT IT FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD GRANDSON .HE OPENED IT CHRISTMAS MORNING,SURROUNDED BY HIS COUSINS , ( FIVE AND THREE ), WRAPPING PAPER AND MORE MODERN TOYS . ALL THREE DECIDED THIS WAS THE BEST FUN , EVEN BETTER THAN THE EMPTY BOXES ! .
