I've had a longing to properly give this product a try out. About 2 years ago, I had a "shot" of The Green Fairy in a pub for about a fiver. This was after several beers. from( a bit of a beer fuddled) memory it had a nice strong peppermint flavour,and certainly kicked some ass. This is not the traditional method to drink it. It is required to dilute it with about 4 - 5 parts very cold water drizzed over a sugar cube, on a special Absinth spoon. I've now found it not too very much to my liking. I've found it too much Anise (Pernod / Ouzo) flavour. Only a personal not like,but others may like it. It really does have a strong Anise flavour to it. I've not encountered any so called "psychedelicc" effects of drinking it.

Bought this as a surprise present for my son. He was absolutely delighted. He has tried this once before and was impressed with the absinthe spoon that came with the bottle! I also purchased from Amazon, a box of lump sugar to go with hit. It was the first thing he made sure went in his bag to return home with! He was chuffed to bits. He has stashed it away for special occasions only! Eagerly awaiting taste and effect reports from him! Mind you, he did open the bottle and took a good sniff, saying "Cor! That's the stuff!". Sadly he had to go to work shortly, otherwise......

This absinthe is delicious and well balanced. Anise flavours enrich the wormwood and it is beautiful when louched with about a 4.5:1 ratio ice cold water to absinthe (with sugar of course). With notes of liquorice aniseed as an after taste, it is a great absinthe to have if it is your first time drinking absinthe. It works well when added in a small amount to a glass of champagne or presecco, which gives you the cocktail "Death in the afternoon". Couldn't recommend La Fee more highly.

i wanted to learn about the green fairy, i tried a couple of products from amazon that were half the price but they wouldn't louche, some of them tasted ok,some were undrinkable (sebor!) i should have saved my cash and tried this one first! it may be pricey but immediately on opening the bottle its smells great - it has good colour it actually does that louche thang! its also tastes very nice and nowi have two absinthe spoons :)

Absinthe is one of my favourite tastes and found water didn't bring any extra (Neither did ice).I always do at least a couple of small shots neat for that "rocket blast" of heat, butMostly I drink a 50/50 mix with either fresh orange or apple juice and steady away....No hangovers, no drunken wobbles just 4 pleasant evenings.... and then a strong urge to buy more!!!

The finest Absinthe you can buy. Beware of cheap imitations. Lesser brands use artificial additives to produce the distinctive green hue and they're not even close in terms of alcohol content or authentic Absinthe flavour. La Fee is unequalled. Decadently delicious and mind unraveling; if this were any more addictive you'd be buying it by the gram.

I have tried Quite a few different absinthe from cheap to expensive and personally this stuff is the best from my point of view. I normally go for the jeckle absinthe as that is quite good and have refused to pay the price for la fee but after trying it now I might have to go for this one every time. A good time in a bottle

This is the first proper Absinthe I have tried and wow I was impressed. Preparing and drinking this the correct way is delightful and I recommend anyone that is interested in giving Absinthe a go not to go for a cheap alternative and go for the real deal. The spoon it comes with is very nice too so highly recommended!

This is a good starting Absinthe. It gives you a good idea of what an alright version of the drink tastes like, and you get a good quality branded spoon which saves you buying one seperately. If you enjoy this one, then try the Pernod absinthe or something more expensive if you want to experiment

It’s the original Absinthe that I first tried in Paris 20 years ago and the only one I have bought since.My friend keeps on winning raffles at his work and chooses the Absinthe labelled bottles every time and they are all ? ?.I’ll drink them but I won’t be happy about it!

The first time I tried this was in France and loved it, I Brought it home and had a two glasses of it, then my in law came and helped herself to the whole bottle, for some reason she couldn’t stand up and walk very well after downing 3 quarters of the bottle neat

I've bought it to make authentic sazeracs and it works brilliantly. Gives just the right amount of aniseed-y goodness when you coat the inside of the glass with it. The small bottle (which is what I have) comes with a handy nozzle that makes pouring super easy.

This is the posh absinthe all the cocktail guides tell you to use and the one you'll see on the shelf in a good bar. It has a smoother more rounded flavour than some of the others I've tried and quite a wormwood twist in the tail!

I got so drunk off this I passed out and broke my arm. It’s really good, but just eat before drinking it. Every party I took the bottle to everyone was really intrigued about the design of the bottle and the fact it was absinthe.

Super fast delivery but I guess that's Amazon Prime to be honest! Most pleased with this, Actually tastes like Absinthe instead of fake/chemical anise/fennel I would highly recommend this, I know its pricey but totally worth it.
