I bought this drink in a lighting sale as it is not something I would normally go for. I was expecting something that would be sweet and alcoholic but with no character and to use it as a mixer. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was in fact really rather nice and good enough to drink straight without ice. It is smooth and has enough depth of flavour to keep you coming back for more. having read that ASDA's version of this was even better and like the old version of this drink that others talk about in hushed and reverent tones I was keen to give a bottle of that a go once I had emptied the bottle. Let me assure you that the ASDA version is pure filth and everything I feared this one would be.

If you are in to spiced rum then the chances are you will have tasted or at least heard of the Sailor Jerry brand. A must have in any drinks cabinet - While the spices flavour hits you the sweet flavours of vanilla and caramel do cut through it. It begs to be mixed with a cold coke ... but at this price point that’s fair enough.If you liked the old recipe for Sailor Jerry I urge you to try a bottle of Admiral J - very sweet with lots of lime and vanilla. They also do a Liki Tiki fire are 72.5% too if you are feeling brave ! ?

This is a fantastic caribbean, light spiced rum. It is really drinkable, and it goes brilliantly mixed with apple juice - i would definitely recommend that! It is great drink for someone who isn't primarily a rum drinker, but equally, it is for the seasoned rum drinkers too! The bottle is also very nicely designed, with a picture of a tattoo design that Sailor Jerry drew. I used an old bottle as a candle holder. Excellent price too - most supermarkets charging between 16-21 quid for this.

I operate a guesthouse in Scotland. A pleasant Canadian couple left behind a half of a 70cl bottle of this stuff, they couldn't take it home on the flight...I wired-into that drink, man, and I can tell you, it's effing lovely; very smooth, goes down easily, coats your gullet like velvet fog, gentle after-taste, no hangover (I only had 4 x large).Buy this and experience it - it's effing lovely.

I only ever drank vodka until a friend got me into this. It's now responsible for me having quite a sizeable and expensive rum collection. It's good with coke for a few but does got sickly after a few. Works better with ginger ale and lime. Now I've started drinking more aged rums it's not something I pick up anymore but still a good product and something I always look back on favourably

Probably one of the finest vanilla rums ever made. Goes a treat in a tumbler with lots of ice, coke & a slice of lime (not lemon).It is smooth enough to have on its own, but that's like drinking neat Drambuie (asking for trouble). Warning though: you will not remember the night after. Seriously good rum! YARRR.

For the modern day pirate with a decent internet connection and a bank account to store hard earned Dabloons! This is literally the perfect solution! tastes amazing, even when sucked from the bristles of my beard when grog has missed mouth! goes well with Pomegranate and Marmite.....tho not at the same time!

There are a few choices when buying spiced rum. This one tastes great, and is 40% proof, one is definitely one of the best to buy. If you haven't tried spiced rum, with coke - then this would be a great choice to try it. If you have but haven't tried Sailor Jerry, then i would really recommend it

Absolutely superb, lovers of more well known top quality rum like for example Pussers Rum won't be a all disappointed with this excellent tipple! Small business but packing a massive hit and at a very affordable price! Thank you and we'll done from a rum enthusiast!! ?

This a very fine spiced Caribbean rum, mellow and easy on the pallet with a fine aroma that evokes Caribbean sunshine. Quality rum at a reasonable price. I would recommend this drink to anyone that would like to sample rum for the first time.

A flavour-able and tasty dark rum that I've enjoyed since being introduced to it some years ago.At £15 a 750ml bottle, it works out at just over £21 per litre. Not too bad, given the quality of this rum.

Great tasting rum, strong, smooth and spicy. A pleasant change from the more ubiquitous Captain Morgan. Well packaged and delivered on time. Reasonably priced but look out for discounts!

Lovely stuff , goes down a treat. Lots of vanilla after tones. Even non rum drinkers have given this a thumbs up - you cant go wrong (well unless you do the whole bottle) HICK

Just wondering what this note is about considering I ordered the Rum for myself NOT as a gift, I did not request a gift note. If someone could please explain, it's creepy!

Crisp clean tasting rum, with some subtle flavours. Not as strong tasting as other rums on the market. Cheaper than in the shops and arrived safely in good time.
