I have been drinking Kraken for several months now, and have come to the conclusion it has began to alter my DNA.My brother and I were on holiday, and we're polishing off our third bottle of the week. At 1am I stumbled off to bed for a spiced rum induced kip. I entered a deep slumber and began to dream. On getting into bed I felt something strange. I felt as if I was in a vast body of water, I immediately stood up, but remained to feel like I was underwater but able to breath and no fear of drowning. My stomach churned, my heart raced, the solid bone that once occupied my arms and legs disappeared. I yelled out to my wife, but could only manage a unitelligable gurgle. This Rum is fantastic! I first tried it a few weeks ago, after many months pondering on the sheer amazingness of such a beverage!The bottle is stylish, with a wicked label, I thought Sailor Jerry's had a cool label!It's dark, sweet, full of molasses and spices, perfect for Christmas.. Neat over ice, or with a dash of your mixer of choice.. Maybe a cheeky lime wedge!I compared prices per litre between all the usual supermarkets, but this price CANNOT be beaten! Forget the 70cl bottles at £23, get this bad boy! Go on, you know you want to!! It is Christmas after all!As this was sold by Amazon, mine was delivered via Yodel by a courier using their own vehicle.

I'm not much of a boozer but I do like the odd rum or two, either on its own or with coke. When I few people recommended Kraken to me I was at first a bit sceptical because 1) it's a new rum that was introduced in just 2010 and 2) I imagined it as something trendy like Morgan's Spiced Rum. What convinced to buy a bottle in the end was a recommendation from an old Sea Dog who definitely knew his rum.Now this stuff it's quite lovely and also quite deadly, a testament to the fact that I drank a third of a bottle just one sitting, one evening in the house and that is not like me. It's quite a smooth rum that can be easily be drank on it's own, personally I drink it with coke.

5 stars all roundFlavour: It has a lovely dark sweet flavour to it. But doesn't burn your throat too much. Or maybe I'm used to it.Value for money: Is debateable with alcohol, I drink once or twice a year, so a bottle tends to last me a long time. But given that a rum and coke in a pub would use an inferior rum and cost a large amount of money, you're far better off with this beautiful drink!Presentation: The bottle is beautiful, has little handles on it and the label has a Kraken drawn on it. I bought this initially because it looks cool. And I still buy them. One every two years. Or more, depending how the year went.It's my go to drink of choice and you'll find none better in my opinion.It has flavour,

What can I say about Kraken. I bought a 1L bottle of this "magic in a bottle" and boy, I was not disappointedI opened the oversized, environmentally-unfriendly Amazon (tree killers!) box carefully to reveal such a majestic bottle.My pupils dilating, by tongue salivating at the very thought of necking this little beauty down in one.Gulp after gulp I felt stronger, sharper and more brilliant than I could ever have expected. I saw colours no one had seen before and shapes that don't exist. I instantly became the best singer on earth and I was irresistible to women, who had became more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. Yes! I had unleashed the Kraken in me.But all good things must come to and end.

I was cautious about buying this due to the gimmicky design and name, which in my experience is the kind of thing which can make just about anything popular regardless of the drink itself. But when I found some reduced in a local supermarket, curiosity won out and I took a bottle home with me. Tried it straight, tried it with Coke, ginger beer etc etc. I will admit that I'm not a great fan of 'spiced' rums anyway, but this wasn't too bad. As usual, the vanilla flavour dominated but the drink wasn't overly sweet. It was certainly a cut above what I've previously tried and I could be tempted to try it again, if only as a shot or two at the bar. Personally I'd give it a mark of three,

I mean, isn't that what you want with Rum, a whole lot of yum?Kraken is a really rummy (you know what I mean, some rums taste like RUM should taste, others are like YUCK) rich flavor and is SUPER silky smooth. I was very impressed actually, I was not expecting it to go down so easily, it's not at all harsh despite being higher alcohol content than many other rums. I really like Red Leg with it's vanilla and ginger, I'm totally a Vanilla girl and the ginger makes it somehow light, and while it's smooth, it's just NOT as smooth as this Kraken is (I always drink it neat).10/10 would buy again. Almost accidentally did, the Amazon app is tryna turn me into a drunk,

Release the Kraken! I was hesitant,it being something new.Surely established manufacturers are better,I thought,so took a long time trying Kraken.But at last,I did,and it was very good.Better than many,in fact.Usually I'd go for Appleton,or Morgan,Lamb,maybe Woods over proof,now there's a new contender for my money.I'm a whisky drinker,usually,but a change is a good as a rest...And unless my senses decieve me,the nose is molasses,and strawberry milkshake(I have a slight cold,at the time of writing,so may be awry),the taste smooth,and the same as the smell,with vanillins from oak cask coming through.I drank so much of it,it just encourages more and more tasting.So,a VERY nice rum,more flavour

Wasnt sure on trying this, but such a nice bottle i succumbed to temptation of the siren and ordered a bottle... It arrived on a galleon to the door all through stormy seas and storm ahoy!, a few cannonball's through my door then there it was, the finest spiced rum through the 8 sea's. I quickly opened the bottle and took just a sip to brave the storm a'comin, without realising the danger! Tentacles of a great sea beast bursting through the window from the great depths. Thrashing around deck and drowning the unwary sailors, i quickly knew what to do, i drank more of the great rum, then more!, the beast withdrew as the bottle emptied,

As My name may suggest Over the years I have tried many different types and brands of rum from the economy you pop in your tea to the very expensive that you savour on that special occasion. Kraken without doubt is the later as long as you can make an excuse up for a special occasion every day. Kraken Is very smooth and very drinkable its just the job to have a tipple after you've walked the dogs on a cold morning or discreetly out of a hip flask as you watch your Grandson playing football in the Sunday league. I can say with hand on heart this is the best rum I have tried ever. If you try it and think you know of one better please please let me know.

If you drink Kraken or any rum in the morning you aren't an alcoholic, you're a pirate!Thats how I felt when I bought this bottle. Great flavour - a flavour that could only be offered by someone who's travelled the 7 seas like a pirate and appreciates the drink.This is a great price for 1L especially since this drink has really taken off with the "hipster" crowd in recent months and prices have shot up (pun intended).Goes really well with Pepsi and a squeeze of lime, or neat on the rocks.Best bit is the Missus likes the well crafted bottle so much she's happy for me to buy and drink straight through the bottle so she can use it for decorative purposes around the house!

If you are a fan of spiced rum, then this is a perfect buy for you.Starting with the bottle, the design alone is fantastic. That is what attracted me to the product initially.Kraken Spiced Rum is a Caramel based spiced rum which is not as smooth or sweet as most of the other spiced rums on the market, however it does make up for it in taste. This is a strong, rich, spiced rum which I prefer to drink neat or with a dash of coke.Opening the bottle, you are greeted with a fantastic smell which only adds to the experience.Taste - 5/5Design - 5/5Smell - 5/5Having purchased this on a Lightening Deal, it is fantastic value for money for a premium spiced rum.

I picked this up in a lightning deal, and as a result i haven't actually opened it yet (I've still got a little left at the end of my last bottle).I really like rum. It is my favourite spirit, weather straight up, over ice or as a mixer, there are so many varieties and different styles, there is a rum for every occasion.Kraken is one of my favourites. It is so dark and rich. You can taste the molasses, without it being overly sweet. It has a good range of spices to compliment it. Personally, I like to drink it from a tumbler with one large chunk of ice, but it also goes well in a (very) Dark and Stormy, when mixed with ginger beer.

Was never a great fan of dark rum, not exactly a dislike but never something that came to mind when given a choice so when given a bottle of Kraken rum as a Christmas gift from the Brother in Law it sat on the shelf for quite some time before being opened. That was a mistake, I had unknowingly put off enjoying one of the most delightful drinks ever to cross my palate, I don't have the words to describe the complex mixture of spices and how they blend perfectly to produce the best rum I've ever tasted, indeed one of the best drinks, but I'd say to anyone, give it a try, your only regret is likely to be that you waited so long.
