As you will see from my other recent Rum based review, I do like the occasional tot.I had seen this popping up every now and again on the Lightning Deals, and decided that due to the friendly discount, and the rapid approach of my birthday, that i would treat myself. I am glad I did.The bottle is very nice, but unfortunately doesn't allow you to easily keep an eye on how much you have left. Also, in my bottle the top of the stopper (not a screw cap) had degraded, so I had to corkscrew it out, fortunately, I had a spare stopper of appropriate size.This is quite honestly unlike anything I have ever tried before. It is as far away from most 'good' rum as Kraken is from Bacardi.

i brought this rum for my dad for christmas. it arrived very soon after i ordered it (like most things on amazon) and he was thoroughly thrilled with it as was i. it came in a special blown up packaging to protect it on its journey through the post so it wasn't damaged when it got to me. when i got it out of the packaging the bottle was awesome! it really is sealed with wax and has the history of the rum written on the front which is fascinating! and when it came to tasting it, its super strong which gives you the nice warm feeling inside. the spices in it make it taste amazing! it tastes and looks unique to any other rums ive had and is very worth it. i would recommend this drink to anyone,

This is a monster of a rum, full of flavour, citrus sweet generally a sensation to behold! It has a big powerful flavour and if your not prepared will literally knock your socks off.I don't mix this one with anything as it stands up incredibly well neat, just pop in a big ice cube and sip away, biggest problem with the rum is that it is a bit moreish and as the bottle is covered with paper the fact that it is empty always catches me out! Fortunately Amazon are swift when it comes to emergency replenishment! The bottle itself is very cool and the waxed top is always a talking point.I think that as a package it make an amazing gift and it is so much more flavour full than say Kraken,

I purchased a bottle of this not knowing what too expect. I was having a dabble at different rums and thought i would give this a go. Boy was i impressed. This has its place in my top 2 rums of all time.From the bottle, packaging, delivery.. which left me feeling it was something special, to slicing through the wax to uncork this little beauty. I removed the cork and took a little aroma taste.. it smells absolutely fantastic. Tasting it.. takes it onto another level it is that good!Would i recommend? Absolutely. Since sharing this with friends and seeing the pure delight and glee on the faces.. its impressed us all...

This is a very nice rum that I recently bought along side a gift for a friend.The parcel arrived in very great time, with no issue's in packaging.I bought this knowing that every other comment at the time was 5 stars hoping it would be a nice bottle, not for not too cheap but not too expensive on the pockets for a nice casual drink and it was definitely that.It has a strong but suttle hint of orange and still mixes great with coke.It slightly reminds me of Appleton Estate but much smoother without sacrificing too much on its strength.Don't let other reviews discern you if this sounds like your drink.I'm putting mine aside to last.and might even consider trying more of the prof's crazy

Oh my word. I'm not a rum drinker generally, but having tried the Professor's excellent Gin variants (hello Bathtub and Old Tom!), I thought I'd give this a whirl while it was on a lightning deal.And yes "oh my word" is pretty much how everyone who's sampled this reacts. Stick a thumb of Rumbullion in a glass with a couple of cubes of ice, and you are rewarded with a silky smooth, spiced caramel experience which is perfect for sipping by the fire on a winter's evening.As someone who generally doesn't drink spirits neat and has barely touched rum in years, I found this to be absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, although if you open a can of coke within a mile of this you should be shot!

I have been contemplating purchasing this run for a while at full price, as there is a real buzz around it. When it came into the Lightning deals, then it became an opportunity not to miss from a price perspective, but the proof would be in the tasting.It arrived 3 days ago, and this is the first evening I have had a chance to try it, and I am very impressed. It's incredibly smooth, and you can really taste the vanilla and cinnamon in there. If you're into drinking your run with Coke or another mixer, I'd recommend you try this one neat, or perhaps over ice - mixing it is going to take away from the quality.If you're into your rum, get yourself a bottle - you won't be disappointed.

Tried many off the usual spiced rums like kraken and Morgan.This is miles in front. The orange cinnamon nutmeg and cardamon just light up you're taste buds. It's like Christmass in a glass from the first sip to the last drop. There may be better out there but I've yet to try any. And as it's now on offer at £25 a bottle I will be stocking up for a bit off Christmas cheer. Lovely bottle turned them into lampsThis really is the best intensely flavoured spiced rum I've tried without any alcohol burn at the back of the throat... It is perfect for my pallet... Only downside when I pour a glass at 11am my wife thinks I may be an alcoholic....... I'm not I'm a Pirate....

I was fortunate enough to be give a set of Drinks by the Dram Christmas crackers and this was one of the sample bottles inside. I am a lover or rum, dark, white or spiced, and have a particular fondness for Sailor Jerry. This is to put it simply, in another league. The aroma is heavenly, without the sharpness of Sailor Jerry, and the taste is exquisite. Full, rounded, sweet, smooth and warming, it has a pleasant aftertaste and deserves to be drunk neat. I have purchased a full bottle and the presentation really makes it stand out from the crowd. A bottle to save for those times when you are joined by lovers of fine things, to bring out and share.

I got this for my dad for fathers day, he is a veteran of Rum drinking. So of course when I saw this product I had to buy it. Even I have tried it, and I must say it's delicious. My father even says it's the best rum he has ever tasted (so that's obviously saying something). He has such high praise for Rumbullion he even said he doesn't want to drink another kind of rum. (I sincerely hope that it stays on Amazon forever, because then we'll have endless supply. Because we can't get it in shops :( )But yeah, awesome rum. I suggest that everyone of drinking age and who enjoys spiced rum, must try it.

Really impressed with the appearance of this product. The unique wax on the top of the lid, running down the bottle gives it am unusual appearance that you don't usually see with rum.I have got this to give to someone as a present for Christmas so am unfortunately unable to taste it (as much as I would like to). I bought it as it had great reviews and recommendations online.It came well packaged and delivery was very fast through Amazon prime, I ordered it in the evening and it came the very next morning.Overall I recommend this product on appearance and previous reviews/recommendations.

Absolutely delicious - mild and sweet enough with the spices that it can be enjoyed neat, in a brandy glass, and savoured throughout an evening. But still works nicely with a mixer for those who want to drink it that way.The bottle itself is also very cute - and you don't need to worry about ruining the pretty presentation when you open it - run a knife around the wax seal where there is an obvious indent, and then pull out the cork stopper! The wax seal, string and paper all remain intact below that point, and once stoppered looks untouched.

If you haven't tried Rumbullion then do so. Rumbullion on ice is just amazing, it needs no mixer - the taste is smooth and full on. Its easy sip neat and full of flavour.The bottle itself is very different from the brown paper cover to the wax seal - it makes you feel like you have something special and artisan. I've shared this drink with both family and friends and the response is usually to say just how easy to drink and tasty it is or shock from liking a rum. I've recommended this rum to many people and it never fails to impress them.

We have been wanting to try this tipple for a while so when it was reduced to £23 I bought a bottle. Then another after I tasted it.We absolutely loved it, lovely aroma and a georgous flavour. Great bottle with waxed cork top.Careful though as it 42% you could easily forget how fast it's going down. I'm a big fan of oakheart, red leg, cart fuago and this is better than them in my opinion, I still buy them too.Rumbullion is a lovely treat that you can drink no matter what the mood.Try a bottle it's amazing.

For the price its not a bad rum but the taste is certainly different and more of an acquired taste. I did enjoy drinking it but I would rather spend money on a rum I love, that being said I can't help but keep trying more and more rums then collect my favourites and restock them.The spiciness of this rum is unusual with some sweetness to it, id recommend trying it but it won't be one that gets added to my favourite list nor will it be restocked on my shelve.
