Koko Kanu is a gorgeous, authentic Jamaican Rum with Coconut flavour and in my opinion makes for the perfect drink for the summer months. I personally love coconut flavours during the summer season, so this is right up my street and drinking it definitely makes me feel like I am on holiday.The product is so versatile and can be used in a variety of ways to make the tastiest cocktails and refreshing beverages. It is a very multi faceted product and can be used in a number of ways. The product has a strong, delicious taste but is not too overpowering or overly sweet which I think is fantastic and makes it more enjoyable to drink.This product exudes quality, the packaging is expensive looking and the taste is rich and flavoursome.

Koko Kanu Rum is a refreshing change to the rum market. It's the only full proof coconut rum available in the UK. With this in mind, I wasn't really sure what to expect.The packaging is very appealing and looks like a premium product. Coupled with the fact that it's made by Wray and Nephew, I was confident this would be a good choice.On opening, I was hit by the strong coconut scent - very pleasant and conjuring thoughts of beach cocktails in pineapple shells.I'd expected a sickly, syrup flavour (similar to another leading brand of coconut rum), however I was very pleasantly suprised to find that it was much smoother than that. The rum flavour is strong and doesn't taste 'watered down',

I received this bottle of Koko Kanu free for review which I'd opted for based on the distiller and it is a very surprising 'liqueur'. If you don't like coconut flavoured rum, try this! Unlike other popular UK brands, this is something to keep in the cabinet.Upon opening there is a distinct smell of alcohol, slight sweetness but not much else. Tasting however, there is a huge difference. An ultra sweet, warming but refreshing taste with subtle notes of coconut. As a rum, sipping lone rider, I wouldn't say it is the smoothest, manageable though due to the overall sweetness (better chilled) but in a cocktail (not usually my style), this drink performs. I've been lucky enough to be able to trial this - and I'm so glad I got the opportunity!Rum is one of my favourite things to drink, and this has certainly made an impression with me - both neat and with a mixer, this is something I personally would definitely buy again.The coconut flavour hits as soon as it reaches your mouth - when drank neat, it is strong, and burns, in a good way! With a mixer, it blends perfectly to accompany what you're drinking it with - whether it's as simple as juice, or making a fabulous cocktail! It transports you somewhere exotic - especially drank with ice in the sun!This is definitely my number one rum now, and as soon as I run out I will be stocking up - will be making a variety of cocktails with more of this,

Got this on a whim as I fancied something sweet to drink on the weekend. I'd never tried it before so thought I would jump in and give it a go (the extra proof over Malibu was the deciding factor). Have to say it's as tasty and sweet as the other reviews say it is. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that after a few drinks I found it a bit too sweet and it became a little sickly. I should say I'm more of a savoury person in my tastes so for most it probably won't be a problem but I couldn't really drink more than a couple of glasses in one sitting. You could say thats a good thing if you want to moderate your drinking. Drinking it neat it is still tasty but with a good burn.

This coconut rum turns you Pina colada in to a Koko kolda.This drink is perfect in a tropical cocktail or with a lemonade mixer. I prefer it with the lemonade and a few ice cubes.While the the Coconut flavor has a fantastic smell and a smooth taste, it is probably not best suited to the non Coconut fans as this drink is 100% Kokonut.A strong smooth taste that wont blow your head off, but will knock your socks offAnd lets talk about the aesthetics. I tried this drink for the first time last week when the family got together to make a BBQ. It is coconut flavour clear rum, and it can be drank either neat or with a mixer. I first tried a shot of it on it's own. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of rum, but honestly this rum tasted really nice and was pleasant to down and did not taste too strong. I then mixed it with pure pineapple juice, mixing 50 ml of Koko Kanu with about 150ml of pineapple, and it tasted delicious and refreshing!Unlike the well-established Malibu, it is not milk-based, which is ideal for those suffering from lactose intolerance like myself. It is smoother than Malibu. Definitely superior to it and you can mix it with pineapple,

Koko Kanu is a sweet Jamacian rum with hints of coconut that really bring out the best of fruits. Compared to Malibu it is stronger (37.5%) and you can definitely smell the difference when you open the bottle, it also smells a little sweet which probably the coconut essence. It is a strong rum, but not too over powering if you want to have it with itself.I've tried this as a mixer with pineapple, lemonade and coke. Personally I prefer it with vanilla coke to really bring out the coconut flavour. We had Koko Kanu at a house party and everyone commented on it's coconut flavour and had multiple glasses.One of the best coconut rum on the market and has a premium feel/branding.

This coconut rum I would highly recommend to those who already enjoy Malibu or found Malibu too sickly. Koko Kanu has a slightly more refined and sophisticated taste, it is very alcoholic so I found works best as a mixer but if you're into the hard stuff, you could have shots or enjoy on the rocks!I tried their signature cocktail the Koko Kolada which is pineapple juice, nutmeg and Koko Kanu shaken over ice - a delicious, easy summer cocktail which my whole family have enjoyed. A perfect blend of acidity, sweetness and a little intrigue brought in by the nutmeg.Given the quality, this liqueur is very reasonable and I highly recommend you try it.Please note - I was sent this item to give my

I love cocktails especially anything with rum!! When i found out that the country of my birth had a new rum on the market it was immediately added to my shopping list. Fortunately I had the opportunity to try this and even though it was a free bottle, I think that Koko Kanu rates much higher than it's competitors currently on the market. The rum is fruity but not too sweet with a fantastic coconut flavour. This rum tastes great on its own with ice, as a mixer with cola and absolutely lovely as a cocktail! Koko Kanu is smooth and packs a punch and gave my rum punch a distinct nutty flavour that transports you to the shores of the island with each sip.... Bliss in a bottle!!

I love creating cocktails and i love coconut and rum so i knew I would enjoy this drink but I love it even more than I expected!!Goes perfectly as a Pina colada ( Koko colada ) but what I found that went amazing with it was mixing it with chilled espresso, it was a delicious coconut version of my favourite cocktail, espresso martini! No sweetener needed either!It's so sweet from the coconut but not too much and not syrupy , it's a light taste but delicious for sure.I am also really impressed with the price, for a drink that tastes this good and packaging that gives off a more high quality look, the price is really worth it.If you like cocktails, run or coconut I highly recommend this!

This rum is very tasty, I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of a select few to do a taste trial on this product.When it arrived I was so excited!We organised a cocktail evening with our friends as soon as we could, there are so many recipes you can use to make the cocktails.Personally I preferred it mixed with cocktails as it does have a very strong coconut flavour- but it's MUCH better than malibu, personally I've got bad memories of being a teenager with mainly (haha, don't we all?) but this tastes, classier! I think that's the best way to explain it.I'd definitely recommend trying this product!! It's lovely. And the bottle of gorgeous too so it looks awesome on our bar.

I was lucky enough to be sent a sample of Koko Kanu to give my honest opinion. Not being much of a rum fan, I was a bit wary about trying the drink! However I was pleasently surprised by the strong coconut flavour. After a couple of glasses, I did find the drink got a bit sickly so would recommend this be used as the base of a cocktail or drunk with a mixer to counteract the sweetness. I should also mention that my friend, who doesn't like the taste of coconuts, found this to be very overpowering and really disliked the strong aftertaste. I would consider this again for a special occasion or gathering but definitely as a mixer instead of drinking it straight.

Oh my goodness ... Oh my goodness!! This rum is by far the best rum I have tasted since being in Jamaica. Its smooth taste with the right amount of coconut makes this the ultimate summer mixer for all your cocktails!I brought this as a last minute gift for a family BBQ I was attending. It was a massive hit with everyone especially my nana who wasn't expecting it be so strong and ending up adopting a Jamaican accent for the rest of the evening.So if you're looking for a fun filled BBQ, party, girly evening, pre drinks this little beauty is perfect for any occasaion, even Sunday lunch with ya gran if u wanna hear her possibly talk in a Jamaican accent aha!

Koko Kanu is a premium coconut rum, similar to another well known brand... But koko Kanu has a very unique taste that is something special. I have definitely been converted and I won't ever choose another brand of coconut rum again. You can add this rum to classic cocktails or simple mixers for delicious tasting drinks and be transported back to the adventures of the 50's jet set travel to Jamaica. Yum! Highly recommend mixing Koko Kanu with pineapple juice to make the well known Koko Kolada! A twist on the well known pina colada, or this rum also tastes great with lemonade or cola... The possibilities are endless!
