Sagatiba is a nice, above entry-level cachaça in Brazil and. arguably, the best option with regard to value for money around here (overall is Germana, hands down, but I'm not spending 30 quid on it every time I host a party...).There is only one thing about Sagatiba that bothers me: the price! Back home, you can get a bottle online for less than 7 pounds. However, there is not much that can be done about it, so the point is: if ever in doubt between that and stuff like 51, Pitu or Velho Barreiro, ever go with the first one!(But seriously, if you ever feel like tasting the true, caipira-favourite, cachaça, make the extra 10 quid effort and buy a bottle of Germana. It may be worth it!)

Great taste. I prefer it to a vodka although it is supposed to be more similar to a rum. Half a lime squashed in the bottom of a glass with 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Add the juice of 1 lime (or 2 shots of lemonade) and 2 shots (70ml) of cachaca. Top with crushed ice, stir and enjoy.The only negative (hence the 4 stars) is that I bought this and then found it considerably cheaper online the same evening from a leading supermarket, £15.89. Gutted! Needed to have a drink.

I spent a lot of time in Brazil and found that here in the UK the Caipirinhas at bars and clubs NEVER tasted right, they tasted really watered down.I bought this for a cocktail party I was throwing and was really impressed - it is the proper stuff.100% recommended.It's like being back in Brazil :)Don't forget your limes and sugar though!

Cachaca liqueur is not readily available on supermarket shelves so it was a treat to see Amazon can get it. It is delicious! Pour two good measures of the liqueur over crushed iced, add the juice of a lime, some brown sugar - about a teaspoon - and stir well. Not one to be guzzled as it is quite strong... just sip slowly and enjoy!

Cachaca is a commom drink in Brazil but Sagatiba is the one prefered by most people. My dad loves a double dose of it 'neat' and in a hot Sunday afternoon we use it to make caipirinhas, sipping it slowly while playing cards or just sitting on a hammock chatting.It is great to be able to buy the real thing in the UK.

Nice rum, slightly sweeter and more smooth than other types.Great for making Caipirinhas which are one of the easiest cocktails around. For best Caipirinhas results, leave the ingredients to properly mix and meld for ~10 minutes before drinking. this is difficult given a glass takes about 2 minutes to drink.

The Caipirinha drink we made was made all the better with this quality Sagatiba Rum. Bit expensive but compared to other cheap Cachaca, you can taste the difference. Would recommend to all my friends.Also it came in a blow up bottle protector, which in itself is amazing.

I'm from Brazil and it was a gift for a friend in England... Which is funny, because we have it anywhere here and so damn cheap, when its quite a good gift out there. I'm sure he loved it, as its not the first time he had it and he'd had one of those anytime. :) HAHA

I love the cocktail Caipirinha and this is the key ingredient. I have yet to find it on the shelves of any of the supermarkets and buying here is cheaper than flying to europe to get a few bottles. Its a sugar cain based alcohol so it is a little like white rum.

It's good stuff; for the price, it's surprisingly smooth - a bit too smooth, in fact, if you're using it to make caipirinhas, in which case you need something a bit more robust and harsh even (like 51), to stand out from underneath all that lime and sugar.

Lovely stuff ! Well priced & delivered quickly. Only downside is it isn't a bigger bottle! One sunny afternoon of Caipirinhas & it was gone. This is not widely available so finding on Amazon was a real bonus for me.I shall buy again.

Excellent Cachaça! Purchased directly through Amazon and the bottle came in an inflated sleeve for protection.Pricey, but worth it for an authentic tasting Caipirinha!

It's the real deal. Excellent quality. Being fond of the caipirinhas is good to be able to by a good cachaça in UK. Fast shipping and taste delicious.
