I have just finished my first day at work with my new toolcase. God- I wish I had on 30 years ago when I first started! Admittedly it is big- one customer thought I'd come to stay for the week- but it is brilliant. Usually I hate new cases coz you get used to where everything is in the old one and have to think where they are in the new one but the way this opens up makes it so easy to access all your tools etc. without any problem. One tip- the stoppers on the hinge stays only allow each section to open by about 60 degrees and the top section closes on it's own. Remove these stoppers (2 pozi screws on each) and it opens 90 or 180 degrees.I paid a similar amount for the case I've replaced this with over 20 years ago (and I had to carry it everywhere!)

I bought this 18 months ago. It spends a substantial amount of time being chucked around airport holds so a selling point for me was that the locks are of the type that are allowed to be locked when checking in.You need to be careful with over filling as although the case will close, you will be distorting the trays inside and ultimately damaging the clasps and hinges.I bought mine from Amazon 18 months ago and for the last six months the telescopic handle has been occasionally pulling out of the base. The first handle lock is metal but the second is flimsy plastic, It wore and eventually failed. I emailed Knipex to request spares info and they offered to replace it FOC. Sent it to Germany (£75 courier cost to me)

Hands down the best tool case I’ve ever had.It’s big...very big and it will be too easy to over fill making it heavy to carry. The pullout handle and wheels will help. I’m 6’3” and the handle is a nice height for me.What you can’t see in the pictures is the document holder in the top, the adjustable sliders which control how far it opens or the quality feel it has. Didn’t want to put it down after I started filling it, I was like a kid in a toy shop.It looks so professional and I’m happy it’s going to look the part at work.The combination lock only operates on half of the case but the key lock works nicely on the other half.

This is more a box for professionals (which I am not). But as an avid DIY-enthusiast, I got so fed up with cheap plastic toolboxes that break after a few years, that I now decided to buy something "serious". This toolbox is absolutely amazing. It is super sturdy, extremely well made, and well thought through. The organisers are just optimal in proportions and order, and hold all of my tools perfectly. I am fairly certain I will never need to buy another toolbox.
