This indeed does look very retro with its off-white base and a cap of the same cream colour on a silver spindle. The base has an attractive curved design, which enhances the retro effect. It has a largish base, so the paper towel will sit well on top of it.The holder has a silver coloured trim under the base, and is raised off the work surface with four feet, each with a small silicon dot underneath, so that the holder does not slip about when you pull off a sheet of paper. Because it is slightly proud of the worktop, if you spill something the liquid will run under the holder, so the paper will remain dry.The holder is not particularly steady and solid and it can topple over.

This kitchen roll holder does the job. Takes various sizes of roll comfortably - even some of the taller ones or rolls with more than usual number of towels on them.The design is said to be retro. Well the smooth curves to the base manage that as does the rather fetching cream colour. As it happens I have a citrus press from another manufacturer and a toaster from yet another manufacturer and both of those are a "retro" cream. This matches those two pretty well so it all works together nicely.

I've used a wall-mounted kitchen-towel holder for years but the towel has to be exactly the right size to fit. This elegant holder enables me to buy wider and more effective rolls. The only thing that puzzles me is the insistence that I should 'wash thoroughly' before use. It's a kitchen-roll holder; what's the worst that can happen if I don't?

Previous reviews said the product was quite light and would need to be held when tearing kitchen roll off the roll. This is true, but was also true of my previous holder. This one is great because it matches perfectly with my kitchen colour scheme and I love it.

It’s a kitchen roll holder. The enamel look is quite nice when paired with the chrome holder pole. It’s fairly big so In A small kitchen you might get short of space but it’s light and works as expected.

It’s fine. Looks good. Wish there was a clip to keep the kitchen roll from unraveling so I don’t always have a sheet of kitchen roll trailing on the kitchen counter. Worth buying though, looks nice.

This stand actually stays steady as you rip off a sheet of kitchen paper single-handedly. That is very handy indeed! An added bonus is that it looks very smart.
