This was intended as a gift for an adult (this is definitely not a toy for little kids!) who enjoys all things Japanese. You don't have to like nanoblocks or Legos in order to enjoy this, but if you like Asian culture this will bring you hours of fun (and perhaps a bit of exasperation).Not too easy to put together and will take some time (this one is difficulty level 4 - out of 5, which is pretty difficult). The pieces are tiny and when you're putting the Kaminarimon your fingers will hurt, besides, some pieces are hard to separate once they are joined together (while others come loose).A quirky find!

I love how the Nanoblock Kaminarimon Gate turned out, I already have the Tokyo Tower but this one was definitely more challenging to build. Anyway, worth every minute and it was fun. Can't wait to buy more Nanoblock monuments!

My son loves Nano block's and received 5 sets at Christmas. He built them all but this one was his favourite and now takes pride of place in our living room. Good quality well worth the money.

I bought this as a starter kit to see if my son could handle the small blocks before trying one of the larger kits, he managed fine and the finished model looks great.
