Ingenuity make brilliant and thoughtful baby accessories, our second daughter loved her bouncer so much as they are designed for baby's comfort as much as style and function. This swing is a massive improvement on the super expensive Mama and Papas iconic swing that we had for our first daughter that we didn't use with our second as I had kittens at my then three year old bobbing about herself in it or trying to push the swing sideways- we tried a Graco side to side style swing with her but I was delighted to see this when looking for another swing. This is ideal for parents looking for a swing rather than bouncy chair (children don't always like what their sibling did)but are concerned about the traditional loose swing designs whether they have pets or older children who may unintentionally be clumsy around the equipment. The support strut at the bottom still gives the swinging sensation but with an added layer of security. It's also fab if you can't have everything out at the same time, it folds down to a very compact frame and is easy to tuck behind a chair or in a corner without tacking up permanent room. It's also easy to transport if you know this gets your baby to sleep and need to visit relatives or friends. The seat is beautifully padded and supportive for even tiny babies (mine were all under 5lb 10 and preemie sized) with a nice flat but wide tummy pad and this time they've thought about making the covers remove able and machine washable which is much more practical than designs in the past. And finally baby loves it and I like the fact it supposedly remembers the velocity of the swing regardless of weight, I remember running out of speeds for my eldest with her swing as she got bigger!Overall this is a fab swing for those 6 months until independent sitting, those who say it's a lot of money for a short space of time have never had the sheer relief of a nap when a baby stops crying long enough in one of these, they are worth every penny and this is a great value mid priced offering.

This is one of those baby items that looks like a luxary but when you see it work it some becomes an essential. It is brilliant for fussy babies who refuse to be put down to play/rest etc and who immediately recognise that they are no longer being held and wake up. The gentle vibrations and swing movements fool little one into thinking that they are still in your arms, meaning that you can free up your arms to get on with things.....if you find that baby does wake up when you put them down in this try warming the seat gently with a hot water bottle ( which you obviously need to remove before putting little one in there) before putting them in it,as it is often the change in temperature that gives the game away. This is very easy to put together, set up and work. What also stands out is the lovely soft grey colour and how lovely the material is, which feels good against delicate skin.It also lies back flat enough to allow sleeping babies to lie comfortably. In use it is quiet, a sort of quiet white noise which is usually pretty good for getting anyone to relax and sleep. When not in use it can be folded flat and so is good for shoving in the boot of the car when you venture out to see friends and family. This is suitable from birth up to the age when your baby starts to sit unassisted, now this obviously varies from child to child but on average babies usually sit independently without support at around 8 months. You will need to buy some batteries, the larger size ones- 4 D size and 1 C size. These are not provided.

The rocking chair is super easy to mount, you don't need anything except a screwdriver and even that you use it for only 2 screws. Everything else just sort of clicks together. The chair is a really good quality and sturdy and the material of the seat is nice, easy to take off and wash. Another big plus is the fact that it is retractable, so if you are lacking space, or need to move it, it's perfect. Also, you don't have to worry about it falling or slipping, as the base corners are made of a non-slip material. As baby grows, you can adjust the straps of the seat. The harness is not very easy to open so I do feel OK leaving the baby for a couple of minutes in there without having to worry that she can get out.The music\white noise and movement seem to be enjoyed by my little one,but they don't make her fall asleep. On the negative side, the hanging toys are pretty boring and bland for a baby. Not colourful, no noises, no stimulation whatsoever. And even if they were less boring, the simple fact that they can't be taken off and replaced from time to time with other hanging toys, makes it a bit annoying because babies get bored quickly.I wish the chair had an option to make it higher. My little one enjoys spending time with me in the kitchen, but only when she can see everything properly, which she can't really achieve from a low position. She is too little to sit in a highchair, so it would be a great alternative. All in all, I am really happy with the rocking chair.

This swing and seat combo is for our new addition to the family - a wee girl. The lovely neutral colours (greys, fawns and whites with a touch of blue) and the adorable animal motifs would be suitable for either a girl or boy so the seat is versatile and one you can buy to prepare for the baby even if you don’t yet know the gender. The seat comes in a sizeable but easily transportable box and is fairly easy to assemble. It folds down so you can pop it away easily or take it in the car. I haven’t really used this function as it’s constantly set up in the living room, but if it needs to be done, I’m happy to know that it has that ability. It’s well made and the fabric is plush and lovely.I especially like the fuzzy, felty material round the edges. You can use it as a seat, a seat that vibrates or a swing. Each is gentle enough not to give you any fears that your baby is going to be launched across the room but still strong enough to make it able to be felt. It takes batteries (two types) but they seem to have a decent run so far - and it’s quiet enough not to disturb the baby. You can also put one of the sounds on which are fairly decent for such a device. Normally I feel these kind of sounds are tinny and just not pleasant to listen to but these are fairly soothing.Like others, I’m not sure if this will continue to be used for a long time as the baby grows, but as a seat/swing with a little extra, this is a great buy. 4 stars.

This chair was easy to put together with pieces that click together and a couple screws to secure the lower bar to the swing arms. Once the swing was up it felt very sturdy. The seat cover and pillow are made from soft fabric and it’s great that this can be removed and is fully machine washable. They’re also well-padded to support smaller babies. The 5 point harness is easily to adjust and it even has a nice toy bar with a couple of cute teddies attached. The chair has 5 speed settings, the lowest is a gentle rock and highest is quite fast. You can set a timer for 30, 45 or 60 minutes and the chair will turn off when it’s finished. The chair works on magnets so it’s actually very quiet when it’s swinging. The chair can play music or nature sounds,or you can just use the swinging option with no sound. There are 3 volume options but even on the loudest it is fairly quiet as the speaker faces the ground. You can fold it up to quite a compact frame and this also makes it easy for transporting (if it’s the only way you can get baby to sleep this is invaluable!!!).The only negative is that it takes 4 D/LR20 batteries (the really big ones) and they are not included, with the swings hybrid drive technology they should, in theory, last longer… time will tell!Overall this is a great swing from birth until independent sitting.

The ingenuity Boutique collection Swing 'n Go is a vry well thought out baby swing; From the moment its out of the box it feels well made and sturdy. Getting it out of the box and building it was made simple thanks to good packaging and its easy to assemble with click together pieces that only require a couple screws to secure the lower bar to the swing arms. The swing takes 4 large expensive D/LR20 size batteries which like christmas past aren't included.Materials are of high quality with the main seat pad being machine washable. The swing is quiet in operation with 5 speed settings and 30, 45 and 60 minute timer modes or you can leave it on the default 90 minutes before auto shutoff. With its hybridrive technology batteriesshould last longer and considering there's 4 of them not many will have a spare set laying around when they do run out.Unlike previous baby swings i've used a nice feature is the fact you can fold it away when not in use and transport it around with ease. Its not the lightest or cheapest swing in the range but you'll know baby is safe and secure when strapped in using the 5 point harness giving youvaluable hands free time.I would have knocked a star off for expensive batteries not being included but the rest of it is so well put together it deserves 5*s.

A review for Ingenuity, ConvertMe Swing-2-Seat - Townsend.A well made young baby portable swing. If you want to invest in a good quality seat / swing then this is it. The swing provides two basic modes of operation, either a gentle swinging motion or a seat vibration function, both which will receive a seal of approval. The seat is appropriately soft and comfortable to help provide the young child the most comfortable experience as possible. The swing has 5 different speeds so can be set accordingly. This folds flat for storage + transporting purposes, top marks there as manufactures often overlook this consideration about what to do with the item when not in use. There is a seat vibration function which young babies seem intrigued with and seem to love. The seat vibration requires 4 x D (yes the big ones!) batteries which are not included. Dependent on the usage you will most likely get around two weeks usage. A timer function allows setting of specified time. A sound experience is provided which features a range of soothing music, nature and white noise. Overall well made and supportive swing that also has a vibration function.

I was quite daunted by all the pieces when I opened the box but actually the instructions are very clear and it was pretty simple to set up on my own. The chair is lined with a very soft material and is very comfortable. My daughter seems to find the swing very soothing and will happily settle in it for a decent amount of time, which is handy when I have a thousand jobs to be getting on with. We’ve had various basic bouncers and chairs in the past which never seem to cut it with our children, but this one seems to do the job. The sounds aren’t irritating and there’s plenty of different ones to choose from. The swing has a few different settings (different speeds etc) but isn’t too “techy”.It’s quite bulky so I appreciate the fact you can fold it up when not in use. I like the fact that it’s quite neutral and unisex, so we can keep it for the future. It’s not the cheapest on the market but we’ve personally had no problems with the swing, only a positive experience and have found the swing to be robust also, so I can only really give it 5 stars and am happy to recommend.

For busy (but caring) parents, this is an absoloute godsend. You can put your baby snugly into this and at the press of a button have him or her gently rocked and soothed to music (8 melodies and 3 nature sounds ) while you get on with other things. The 5 swing speeds might determine the effect it has. Sometimes the effect is that baby falls asleep .Sometimes baby will stop crying. At other times they may gurgle with delight at the mobiles overhead. These are not there just for fun. They provide baby with visual and auditory stimulation during the critical plasticity growth period when his or her brain is still developing. Neureologists say such stimulation is essential for normal development. So this Ingenuity Swing 'n'Go (presume baby swing, parent go - not too far , we don't want social services calling !) is an absoloute winner on so many levels. Light and portable it takes 4 D batteries which are claimed to last 3 times longer than normal bateries . I haven't got to that point yet but I think I will find out really soon....

This is a really quality piece of kit, and when it's for something as important as a baby, that's what you want! From the moment it's out of the box, you're impressed. It's solid, sturdy, easy to assemble, and all the component parts feel well made with good materials. Batteries aren't included, but not really a shock in today's world, and you can get them cheap nowadays, so no hardship there. Plus there's technology to help save them, so you won't be changing every 5mins.There are multiple swing and time settings, various melodies and nature sounds, so there will definitely be some combination that will suit your baby. Now the biggie...it's portable, and easily portable as well. Just folds away, and job done. Back of the car when visiting family or friends, or a trip to the park for a picnic, and it can be there with you are ready to go in seconds. For £90 and the amount of quality, features and portability, it's a steal.

I previously reviewed the Ingenuity Boutique Collection Swing'n'Go, and was thrilled stands out amongst all of its competitors with outstanding build quality, easy assembly, and sophistication.Again, with the Hugs and Hoots mode, you get it out of the box, feeling sturdy and well-made - you assemble it by clicking it together with just a couple of screws to give it additional strength, install the batteries (you do need to get these separately, which is pretty standard for kids' toys and accessories), and watch them go.Where this model differs to their Boutique range is with the colours - this is way more visually stimulating, with a beautiful blue elephant and green owl,as well as being super relaxing with the swing speeds, soothing music and nature noises. It also contracts down for storage and transport, which is extremely useful.Ingenuity are outstanding - and this is very recommended!

Easy to unpack and put together - nothing missing, always a bonus! It's quite light without losing any sense of sturdiness meaning it's portable round the house, or friends house if you'd like to coral your little one while you chat without feeling you're ignoring your baby, or allowing you to get on with a few bits round the house. It is run on batteries so continuous use will drain it quickly, not so much if you use the timer for an hours blast of baby distraction. It does come with a 30, 45, 60 min timer, 5 swing speeds and 11 different sounds along with the mobiles so there is plenty to lull to sleep or distract a niggly baby.Because it runs on batteries it could become costly so an option for running on mains might be for future models? But that so far is the only thing being a potential negative

The Swing 'n Go feels like a really well constructed piece of kit, it's solid as a rock. Firstly, it's really easy to assemble, taking no more than ten minutes with a screwdriver. The swing itself is very quiet when in use and there are several different modes available to select for speed, duration and sounds. Usefully, there's also a volume control with 3 options (it can play music or nature noises) or it can be used with no sound. I really like that the swing folds away easily - and this also makes transporting it much easier too. The fabric feels very high quality and gives the swing an overall premium feel. The unit doesn't move, even when your baby is swinging,as the corners of the base unit are fitted with non-slip feet. In fact, it feels really stable and the baby seems to love it!

Bought for my 1 month old, arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. Nice lullabys, speed settings and vibration mode. I am overall pleased with the purchase and it's worth the money. The only negative thing is the head rest. It's attached to a strap at the top so doesn't stay in place. Baby's head keeps slipping down every few minutes and his neck looks a bit uncomfortable. I hope he will fit better when he is a bit bigger. Other than that, it's a nice and sturdy swing.Update: My son is now 4 months old and fits nicely in it. The battery life is not bad at all. Although it has started to squeak a bit but still working ok. I have never moved it around with baby inside because it's not designed for that. You have to lift it from the base to move, which can be a bit awkward.

I am very pleased with this ingenuity swing and would recommend it. The fabric is lovely and soft and feels of very good quality. The colours and pattern, combined with the wood and fabric mobile toys give the swing a very stylish look which I love. It does take some construction and a Phillips screwdriver is required but the instructions are clear it took no more than 15mins to put together. The folding feature is really handy as it can be easily stored when not in use but I'm not sure I would travel with it as it is still fairly big even when folded. The choice of sounds and movement are excellent and it's great to have volume control! Overall a lovely swing that looks very cute and cosy. The little one loves it,can't really get any better than that.
