They grow up so fast, no sooner have your erected the baby’s tummy time mat and bouncer, when all of a sudden they want to spend their time sitting up and viewing the world around them. Fisher-Price seem to provide at least one piece of equipment for every stage of a baby’s development, so it comes as no surprise that the starting to sit up stage is catered for with the ‘Fisher-Price Giraffe Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat’. Like all the giraffe sets from Fisher-Price, this seat is of a great quality. It is really easy to assemble and you can fold it up when it is not in use. When the seat is out, the wide base means that it is very stable and even a baby that likes to rock a little as they sit will nothave a chance of tipping it over.‘Sit-Me-Up’ is a great tool to placate a baby that is starting to be pretty attentive. They can look around at the world and feel involved, but also have a soft chair to sit on and some toys to play with. The cover is easy to wipe down and you even get a little tray should your child be starting to eat solids. As a piece of equipment, it may not last too long as it covers the stage between a child being able to hold the weight of their head, but not be able sit independently. Depending on the physical size of your child, their ability to sit up alone may not quite fit in with the size of the seat, which will be a little comfortable for a bonny baby that has yet to develop. However, for the few weeks/months that the ‘Fisher-Price Giraffe Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat’ is usable for, it is a great tool that many babies will love as they can see the world and become involved. Another great piece of kit from the baby whisperers at Fisher-Price.

I think a floor seat of some kind is one of those "do we really need it?"s for babies (if which there are a bewildering multitude!) because the stage of being able to sit up but not do it unaided doesn't really last that long and you can do the old fashioned stick a pile of cushions around them! That being said for that period of time they are really good, especially if you have a nosey baby who wants to know exactly what is going on and thinks lying on the baby gym is beneath them!We had a bumbo for our first child who was one such nosey little thing - she was far happier sat up and it allowed us to get on with such essentials as cooking dinner, dressing and washing for longer without the niggles!I have to say this seat is a big improvement on the bumbo for quite a few reasons:- it folds up when not in use (hooray - baby stuff is all so big!)- it has a tray - meaning baby can have toys within reach and can't loose them so easily- it feels safer - there were issues with bumbos tipping over - this is wider based and heavier so I don't think this will be an issue- it looks a bit more comfy - leg holes are bigger and back isn't so straight- it's bright and cheerful to look at with toys attached and co-ordinates with lots of other FP products which is good if you get a bit OCD!I think as we still have our bumbo, we wouldn't have looked at or bought this product, but having been given it to review we will definitely use it instead - it's not an essential baby item but is a useful one and is reasonably priced and if your baby is that way inclined I'd say it would be well worth it!

I'm really pleased with this seat. I've had a Bumbo before but this seems safer and sturdier. When it arrives you need to assemble the pieces. It's not too complicated but a glance at the instructions will make it easier. All the components click together and once assembled cannot be taking apart again but it does fold up reasonably flat. The components are plastic and washable. The cover/seat slots over the plastic frame and then the tray can be attached. The tray is clever as it can be easily removed, turned upside and reattached to be able to fold up the seat and keep the tray safe. The tray is dishwasher proof (but not microwave proof!). I'm not sure you could machine was the cover but it can be wiped over. There is no belt so baby slides in the seat foot first and is held in place but strap on cover. This will be no good for a climbing baby! The attached toys are cute and could be interchanged with other clip on toys. I would only use this seat under strict supervision and never leave baby unattended in it but ideals for weaning or just giving baby a different view point. There is no suggested age range on the box so I'm assuming this is down to parent common sense. You're probably looking at somewhere between 4 and 7 months depending on baby's gross motor development. As with the Bumbo seat, you're not going to get a huge amount if use out of this but can still be a very valuable product. It's very light and portable and I will be using it to travel with so that I don't have to put baby down on the floor all the time (you never know how clean the floor is!)

Absolutely love this chair - I was umming and ahhhing about it for ages as I wasn’t sure if it would just be another novelty that would take up space in the house and never get used! How wrong I was - I wish I’d bought it sooner! My little girl is 3 and a half months old and is wanting to be upright all the time despite not being able to sit up by herself. She is also starting to get a bit bored of her swing as she is getting more interested in things around her.As soon as I put her in this, she absolutely loved it! It keeps her upright and supports her head while allowing her to interact and see everything around her. Also keeps a very busy nosy baby like mine occupied long enough for me to have a meal,or get some quick bits around the house done! Which is absolutely invaluable as a parent! It’s a lovely design with the giraffe and very bright colours, and has a lovely squeaker under the foot which is a fun addition. The attached toys are lovely, little one especially loved the rings as she is starting to teeth so this is a good addition. It’s very easy to attach your own toys too, and the table is a really good place for her to play without dropping everything. When she’s a bit older and eating, this will be a brilliant place for snacks and meals.Only down side is it’s very low to the ground which gives me a bit of back ache when playing with her but that more a problem with me than the chair! All in all it’s a brilliant purchase - one of my favourite and useful baby purchases we’ve made!

This was incredibly easy to put together. I actually ordered this for when I have family with little ones over so that they don’t need to bring their little seats along. The seat was a little bigger than I expected but actually that’s great because it means more room for your little one.It folds down really easily also and it is nice that you can put away when it’s not in use.My baby niece absolutely loved this. She is 5 months old and it came in very handy when we had dinner etc. She loved the bright colours and fabrics along with the little toys attached. It was definitely a hit for her. In fact I let my sister take it home with her and she still loves it.I do think once she starts movingaround more easily etc she will probably not like it anymore as I know my jumperoo ceases to create any excitement once the crawling and moving around starts. But for the first couple of months of being able to sit up straight, hold their heads well this would be good.I do think the price is a bit high as some peoples budgets will not allow for something like this. I think a more reasonable price is £20-£30 so if it goes on offer at that price I highly recommend it. My sister says she can now shower for more than 5 minutes at a time 

Fisher-Price never fail to disappoint when it comes to brightly coloured, interactive and safe baby products, from toys to this Sit-Me-Up chair I don't think I’ve ever been disappointed. This chair is really easy to assemble, a bit bigger than expected but it provides a really stable base and peace of mind that baby is safe and secure. I love the Giraffe theme and it compliments so many nursery toys we have already, the brightly coloured Snail and Butterfly take a bit of precision skill to squeak (which is probably a good thing). The leg holes and seating position are ideal offering good support, but also enough room for baby to move around. The clip on tray is ideal but probably better reserved for toys or dry snacks, the reason I’d recommend dry snacks is because there is still a lot of material exposed between the tray and baby which would get covered in baby food, although the cover is removable and washable I wouldn't fancy doing it after every feeding time. Lastly I’m really pleased how well this chair folds away so it can be neatly stored behind the sofa.In summary a well-priced, colourful and friendly product (only a short life span)

This offering from Fisher Price is aimed at babies who can support their own head and need a little help sitting up. This was tested initially on a 14 week old, baby was clearly too young and could not sit comfortably even though she can hold her head up. Next it was tested on a 5 month old who loved sitting up and playing with the stacked toys. The footprint of this seat is bigger than expected and takes a lot of floor space, however it can be collapsed for storage. There it a little tray which easily clips on the front to hold additional toys or for snacks. The design is colorful and of the high quality one would expect from Fisher Price. Compared to rival the iconic Bumbo, this seat does take more room however it looks more sturdy and comfortable. Baby can kick around in this seat, with the Bumbo, the legs are pinned down restricting movement. Also if baby is blessed with chubby thighs then this seat will be far more accommodating and have a longer life.If parents can accept that this seat may only be in use for a few months and want a baby seat that is fun, comfortable and of great quality then this is s great buy.

This arrived the day my boy turned three months old and the timing was perfect. He'd reached the stage where he was able to sit and hold his head up pretty well, but needed some extra support. Although I'm happy to hold him in my lap so he can look around, there are times when mom (and dad!) need a break to go to the bathroom, shower, cook, eat, etc. and when baby's just not having being put on his back or in his rocker. The size is just right (my boy is dead center average for his age) and I imagine he'll fit in this for several more months. The padding is nice and soft, but the seat offers a lot of support. The toys are easy to grab and the tray will come in handy once he starts eating solid foods and I don't necessarily want to put him in his high chair.Assembly was fairly quick and easy and it folds up pretty compactly, though I'll probably just take it apart when we go on vacation in a few months so it will fit into my suitcase more easily. My boy will happily stay in this and play for about a half an hour, which is a vast improvement over the other seating options we have. Very happy with this!

The Fisher-Price Giraffe Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat with Tray is marketed as being suitable for babies up to 11kg (25lbs) who can hold their head up unassisted but who still need a bit of support to sit up. Easy to assemble and equally easy to fold down again for storage or for travelling, the floor seat is well made with a wide, stable base. The brightly coloured, machine washable soft fabric giraffe cover is comfortable and supportive and if the baby kicks the snail and butterfly padded area at his/her ankles they squeak. There are two age appropriate toys attached – a lion rattle with teether feet and some sliding rings. The washable plastic tray can hold either snacks or toys. This floor seat has been a great success in our home as it allows the younger children to watch what’s going on or saves me from putting them in their high chair for feeding. My only slight niggle, and why I’m awarding 4*, is that the leg holes can be slightly small (depending on the size of the child) which can make it a bit of a fiddle getting a wriggly baby in and out of the seat.

I purchased this when my son was 4mths old (he's now 7 mths). He has hip dysplasia (corrected by a pavlik), so isn't allowed to use any kind of jumperoo; bouncer; sit in walker. Bumbo/snug style chairs that force the legs straight are also not recommended. Therefore I was at a bit of a loss to keep him entertained whilst doing bits. This seat is great. It allows his legs to still be in 'froggy position; plus it's far more ergonomical than the bumbos. It Keeps him secure. You can attach different toys to it. I use it sometimes as high chair. It's had various food on it, but washes like new.We still use it, as although he can sit unaided, does sometimes still topple. It's light and foldable,so easily transported. It can sometimes be difficult to get baby in and out. But we are well practiced now. I haven't given it 5 stars as it has squeakers where feet go. But there is no way a baby could get them to squeak. Shame it hasn't got foot activated noises like the "Fisher Price kick n play" used to have. But I suppose it may not as be as washable.

Smiling faces on Mum and baby. That says it all.Baby is clearly very comfortable in her new seat. The seat is very stable because of its wide base, which also has some weight to it. No danger of any tipping. Simple to fold and errect. All the parts are easy to wash and clean.I would also like to give Fisher-Price a huge thumbs up for add some summery colour to our lives. We love the yellow and green. Fishe-Price have a range of Giraffe themed toys available, so you can keep the theme going as your child gets older if you wish. This seat also is also available in other animal versions, but may not all come with trays. So far the squeaky footpads have been silent (which I think is a blessing). They require significant pressure to make a noise. The only negative is the lack of availablilty of replacement covers.Overall (9/10)============We all love this seat. It is more comfortable and supportive than the competitors offerings. It looks great and is very practical. The tray is a useful extra. .

This is a lovely chair designed to help your baby sit unaided without toppling over. A great improvement on the blow up ring type baby supports and much more secure than surrounding your baby with cushions. The seat support sling is deep like an oversized nappy. There are no straps to fiddle with or adjust. The seat pad is completely removable and machine washable even though it has squeakers on the base. You can also tumble dry it.There's a narrow deep tray which is great for snack time. It's dishwasher proof but very easy to wipe clean too with no cracks/crevices. There's a textured pattern on the tray sides. The clip on toys are chunky, great quality plastic like the rest of the chair. There's a spinning yellow lion face in a bubble with a lion body surround and some movable flower/circle pieces on rings. It doesn't give an age range but is suitable for babies who can hold their heads up unaided up to 25lb weight (as long as they can't climb out or are walking yet).

As to be expected from Fisher Price this is a lovely, brightly coloured and very well designed floor seat which has been designed in the Fisher Price Rainforest theme. The seat is easy to set up and it also folds flat for when not in use to free up some valuable space from the mountainous amount of items needed with your little one. I love the giraffe design and the seat also has two toys which can be removed for play away from the chair also. The seat foot area has two squeakers which are activated with your little ones feet and there is enough padding to keep them comfortable whilst using the seat. A really good, bright and comfortable floor seat from one of my favourite baby brands which is perfect for helping your little one when they are just learning how to sit up and much better support than using pillows or a blow up ring. I shall try to attach some pictures over the next few days showing the toys and seat parts.

With bright colours and lovely toys, this is a great seat to help baby develop from early to independent sitting. The seat is very attractive and I love the way it folds for storage or transport. The wide base makes it very stable and it is also weightier than you might expect. All this is great for safety and the seat is also comfy for baby. The seat cover is also easily washed and the toys are great fun and have been very much enjoyed by the littlie.Fisher Price has been a trusted name for many years and it's easy to see why as this seat is superb quality. It will suit babies up to 25lbs in weight and is so bright, colourful and fun that baby is sure to love their new comfy seat.It is also unisex which I think is wonderful in our era of gender stereotyped toys and toy colours.I think this is a wonderful seat, excellent quality and it has baby's seal of approval - what more could you ask!

My 3 month old daughter loves this seat! It's comfort than her high chair and more relaxing than her jumperoo. It's idea for when we're sat around in an evening, the tray is ideal for putting her toys on and will be used for snacks as she gets older. The chair itself is really bright and gender neutral. We have a number of Fisher price rainforest items and this goes perfectly with them. It was very easy to put together, it took maybe 10 minutes. There are 2 toys attached to the front which my daughter isn't particularly bothered about but I think a part of that is her age and the fact she's only just starting to take an interest in toys. There are squeaky pads where the feet will rest,my daughter is not big enough to reach these yet, a part of me is thankful as I think they'd be pressed constantly, as her face lights up if we press them.
